About: I own a dog myself and have raised her and trained her on my own since I was 14. I love being surrounded by all types of dogs and their own little personalities. I’m a college student, so with the summer starting I want to dedicate my time spending it with dogs! I enjoy taking them on walks to give both of us some exercise! I care for my own dog by prioritizing activness. She loves to go outside, with our fenched in backyard, and we play with a ball. I also love taking her for walks. But outside time isn’t always available, so I like to teach her new tricks or (gently) play with a toy inside. I think it’s also important to prioritize their health, making sure they eat and drink plenty of water.
About: Growing up I always had dogs and cats and now enjoying raising our kids with them as a special part of our family. Dog Walker details: Unemployment due to COVID has uncovered my passion to spend more time on walks, responsibly clean up, build companionship and trust, and just love on your furry best friends while you are away. I have all hours available 7 days a week to spoil your dog and cat with the same love and attention we give our pets. Whether you are looking for a few days of walks a week or if you prefer a set walk schedule, I am happy to accommodate as best I can. Drop in visits for dogs/cats details: Happy to stop by when needed to feed, water, scoop litter, outside bathroom time, playtime, and love! Communication is key in building a trusting, long lasting relationship with you and your pets! Feedback is how we all improve in all areas of our lives and I am always looking for ways to better myself and skill set, so I love open communication! And my husband is also an excellent dog walker and we can walk multiple dogs together or if I am not available. And he can also take care of dog and cat drop in visits, he usually accompanies me on the meet and greet visits as well. I am comfortable administering oral medicine by mouth and eye drops as directed by owner. I am available mornings, afternoons and evenings for visits and walks 7 days a week. I usually stay longer than the booked visit / walk time to ensure your pet(s) have lots of love and attention while you are away! And I can collect mail and packages delivered, and bring trashcans to and from the curb at no extra charge. Clients can trust me to safely enter & exit their home, disarm and arm alarms, and spend extra time above the booked service loving on your pets and ensuring their safety and needs are met.

“Hollys communication is great! I appreciate that she was willing to cut walks short during a heat wave and hang with Pepe inside a little bit to give him the full time together!”

“Morgan and her mini-assistant 😉 are they best team! They show up early, and are very communicative. Pippa absolutely adores them. Would recommend to anyone, and will definitely use again.”

About: I’ve been a pet sitter off and on since 2018! I love animals of all kinds, and right now I work at a pet store! I’m also in school for Animal Health and Behavior! I’m working part time in the evenings and some afternoons, with online school, so I’ll be able to check on your fur baby or stay with them in between then! I will care for your fur baby like they’re my own! Everyone deserves to feel at ease about their pets while they’re away.

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life, growing up on a farm where I cared for everything from horses and pigs to cats and dogs. Being the go-to pet sitter for my friends and family has given me so much experience, and I’d love to bring that same care to your pets. I have my own super friendly dog and cat at home who love making new friends, so your furry family members will be in great company and I’ll will treat them as my own. I am not shy to big dogs, my first ever dog was a Great Dane (gentle giants) as shown in my pictures named Malcom so all big dogs are welcomed. I can handle dogs who tug on the leashes, no matter the size, large or small so that will not be an issue at all. As of right now I’m only doing check ins and walking while I get acquainted with this app and new faces and puppers. Eventually I will do overnights. I’m happy to answer any question, no such thing as a dumb question. Especially when it comes to the peace of mind knowing your pet is safe. Thank you for your patience and I hope to hear from you! 🩷 I am a college student, and I am currently not working to focus on my studies. I figured pet sitting would be the best thing for me because I love animals and I can study, or do school work while I do it. I am willing to both pet sit at my or your house. I have a small fenced in backyard that is secure and safe for your pet. I have a dog named Sadie and a cat named Shayla at home who would love to meet some new furry friends! I would treat your pet as if they were my own with lots of love and care. I’m good at picking up the phone and can give updates as much as you need. Being a pet parent, I too love to see pictures and text letting me know that my dog is okay while I’m away. It is really hard to leave your pets behind while you go away, so that’s why I would make it very easy and comfortable for both you and your pet.

I can do puppy training (potty training, basic commands) and senior care with gentle walks and extra TLC. Your pet gets consistent, compassionate attention with photos and updates so you can relax. I treat every pup like family. Since I’m currently between jobs, I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to your dog. I can easily accommodate daily walks, multiple visits per day, overnight stays, or last minute requests. For in home sitting, I follow your exact routine, feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and any medications. Your dog gets plenty of attention, cuddles, and exercise while I keep your home secure and tidy. For dog walking and potty breaks, I come to your home, warmly greet your pup, and provide a safe outing with exercise and potty time. Each visit includes fresh water, cleanup, and loving attention.
“Lillian was amazing! We usually board our two med/large dogs, but one got a mild respiratory infection right before a big trip and we needed someone responsible and caring to come in and walk, feed, love on them and give meds while we were gone for a week. We all loved Lillian from the moment we met her. Over the course of the week, she gave us such peace of mind with detailed notes and photos to let us know how they were doing. Everything went so smoothly and we were able to enjoy our trip, knowing our doggos were in good hands. Would pawsitively recommend Lillian anytime! 🐾”

About: I grew up on a farm with 16 horses, cows, dogs, and cats, which gave me solid experience in animal care. I also travel, camp, and hike with my cat, Pumpkin, which has helped me learn to manage various pet needs while on the move. My background includes experience with horses, dogs, and cats, as well as training and handling. I’m skilled in caring for both active and senior pets, providing personalized attention. My adaptability and travel experience make me a reliable choice for pets needing a caring and flexible sitter. I am currently working a scheduled 8-4:30 Monday - Friday schedule, however, I have most Fridays off. I am always available on weekends and can usually schedule nights. I have been using Rover, house-sitting, and pet-sitting for a few years now. I treat any home like I would my own and bring the "leave no trace" mindset wherever I go. I fully respect any customer and pet's home I am in and will clean up any accidents and make sure they are comfortable!
About: I was born and raised with dogs in my life and care passionately for them! I will play, roll on the floor, lay and watch TV and bring your dog along for car rides with me (if you want). They will be my dog too when I care for them! Regular potty breaks and feedings are never overlooked and I promise to only feed them what you would like me to. There will be no other family dogs while I care for yours this will ensure that your dog will be safe from confrontations or diseases with other animals. About: Family pets have been part of most of my life. With no pets of my own now, I would like to enjoy and help other pet owners. I also enjoy walking. I am a retired RN who is looking for part time activities and income. I have elderly parents and grandchildren whom I help with but extra time for pet activities. Our yard is not fenced but larger sized and the neighborhood is mostly 5-20 acre homes. Our street is not a busy one, so walks are easy to do. I can also get to the Lees Summit doggy park in about 15 minutes.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Lake Winnebago
This was the first time we have ever hired a dog walker and our first time using Rover. Mikenah walked our 2 large dogs 5 or so times while we were out of town. One of our dogs has an attitude problem but Mikenah did great with her. We will definitely request Mikenah in the future.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
