“Hollys communication is great! I appreciate that she was willing to cut walks short during a heat wave and hang with Pepe inside a little bit to give him the full time together!”

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. I've cared for my family dog since we got her as a puppy, helping with her training and taking full responsibility for her care whenever my parents are away. Growing up around animals has given me a natural connection with them and an understanding of the patience, consistency, and attention they need. In addition to my experience with pets, I have over 1,000 hours of patient care experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant and will be starting nursing school this fall. My healthcare background has strengthened my compassion, attentiveness, and ability to provide dependable care. I understand that pets are cherished members of the family, and I will care for yours with the same empathy, responsibility, and dedication that I bring to caring for my patients. I recently graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Public Health and am spending the summer in Kansas City before starting nursing school in August. My schedule is very flexible, with only a few appointments throughout the week, which allows me to be highly available for pet sitting, drop-in visits, walks, and other pet care needs. I would love to help care for your pets whenever you need an extra hand. When caring for pets in a client's home, I strive to maintain their normal routine and provide them with a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment. I am reliable and able to travel to your home to provide the care your pet needs, whether that includes feeding, walks, playtime, medication administration, or companionship. I have strong communication skills and will keep you updated with messages and photos so you can feel confident while you're away. I am highly detail-oriented, follow instructions carefully, and understand that every pet has unique needs. My goal is to care for your beloved pet as if they were a member of my own family.

“Kathleen is very knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. She keeps me informed when she is on her way and when she arrives. Kathleen provides updates on the walk, if needed. It is a pleasure and a relief to have Kathleen walking Bandit.”

About: I've taken care of cats & dogs for as long as I can remember. I have experience with puppies, senior doggos, kittens, and difficult cats. I am typically off around 4pm Monday - Thursday, & noon on Fridays. My work schedule is pretty flexible and adjustments can be made. Weekends that I am in town are open availability other than Church on Sunday mornings! My cat is not a fan of other pets so all services would be provided outside of my home. I will keep your precious pet safe, and send lots of cute update pictures!
About: Since a child, I grew up with 4 dogs. My life has always had dogs around. We also owned horses, goats, chickens and more, so animals are my favorite. I watch after my friends, parents and family's dogs. I'm okay with giving meals/ medication as request; cheese and turkey wrapped pills are the way 😉. I'm a work from home environment. I'm around my dogs 80% of my day. They are taken on regular bathroom breaks and play breaks. To help release energy, long walks are also taken. If I need to head out, they are crated until I return to avoid any incidents. We have a fence yard and my parents two other dogs spend time together. As well with weekly walks with my 2 other nieces/dogs. They are kept on leashes when on walks. They are also given lots of treats :)

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and other pets my whole life and have loved them all so much! I’ve been dog sitting and cat sitting for family and friends since I’ve been able to drive, and I enjoy spending time with animals. I just graduated high school so I have lots of available time, and I love going on walks and runs. I have experience with many different animals with different personalities, so I’ll know how to give all pets some love! I’m on my summer break before college so I have plenty of time to care for your pups and cats! I love going for long walks and runs on trails or around the neighborhood. Before walking or dog sitting a new dog, I like to know a bit about their personalities and how energetic they are. I do require that all animals I care for are friendly with people and other pets, and are not aggressive or territorial over their food or home.
“Morgan and her mini-assistant 😉 are they best team! They show up early, and are very communicative. Pippa absolutely adores them. Would recommend to anyone, and will definitely use again.”

About: I have been working with animals of all kinds since I was a teen. Between working at pet stores and kennels, plus the zoo I have at my house. I provide invaluable experience and professionalism. I work for a local school district and have all major holidays off, plus every weekend. That means when you finally have the time to travel and do the things you love, I am here to care for your babies. In a client's home, I take care to make sure that nothing gets disturbed. In the past, I always scanned to make sure that nothing was broken or eaten. I always make sure there are no potty messes or hairballs, and I clean them up if there are. I also always make sure to message the owners if anything seems out of the usual. Updates on eating, potty, and litter habits. And of course, if they get into anything or have accidents.
About: I own a dog myself and have raised her and trained her on my own since I was 14. I love being surrounded by all types of dogs and their own little personalities. I’m a college student, so with the summer starting I want to dedicate my time spending it with dogs! I enjoy taking them on walks to give both of us some exercise! I care for my own dog by prioritizing activness. She loves to go outside, with our fenched in backyard, and we play with a ball. I also love taking her for walks. But outside time isn’t always available, so I like to teach her new tricks or (gently) play with a toy inside. I think it’s also important to prioritize their health, making sure they eat and drink plenty of water.

About: I have three years of consistent dog-walking experience with the same family and their two dachshunds, visiting three times a week (1 hour walking) without missing a scheduled walk. That long-term commitment taught me the importance of reliability, routine, and building trust with both pets and their owners. I have also provided dog-sitting care for several families, often for about one month at a time, and have cared for dogs of different sizes and personalities. I take time to understand each pet’s normal routine, energy level, preferences, and communication style so they can feel safe and comfortable in my care. In addition to dogs, I am comfortable caring for cats and have many years of experience around horses through riding and handling. This has helped me become patient, observant, calm, and attentive to changes in an animal’s behavior. I genuinely enjoy building a bond through dependable care, play, companionship, and respect for each pet’s individual needs. I currently have a flexible weekday schedule and am usually available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. I have plenty of time to give each pet calm, unhurried attention and am happy to follow their usual routine for walks, meals, playtime, rest, and companionship. I know how important it is for pets to feel safe and comfortable in their own routine. I take time to learn each pet’s feeding schedule, personality, favorite activities, boundaries, and any special instructions from their owner. Whether I am caring for a dog or a cat, I keep doors and gates secure, handle leashes and carriers carefully, and pay attention to their behavior and comfort level. I also respect the owner’s home, keep pet areas clean, and leave everything as I found it. I am happy to send photos and updates during each visit, so you can relax knowing your pet is being cared for with patience, attention, and kindness.
About: Hello, I have had experience with dogs my whole life, especially giant dogs, from Great Danes to mastiffs, from Shepard to labs, my family has owned and trained them all. I love to spend time learning how to train and engage with dogs of all breeds, I am not discriminatory towards any breed! All our dogs were raised since they were weeks old. Walking, exercise, training, feeding, snuggling, I’ve done it all. I work as a mechanic 4 days out of the week from 7-6pm. My shift rotates I always have Sunday and Mondays off and every other Friday and Saturday. If you have questions about my availability I’ll be happy to answer, I don’t mind pet sitting at anytime. I am willing to work around my schedule. I am currently in an apartment, if your puppet has good behavior when I step out I don’t mind leaving them out. I am familiar with crate training, so I can also put your puppet into crate if you feel more comfortable. Since I am in a small home I would take the pup out 3 times a day for walking/bathroom/exercise.
“When I met Rachel she was very friendly and loving to my dogs. She got down to their level and loved on them and took them out for a test walk. She always took care of the dogs at the time we agreed on and sent me pictures and updates on how the visit went. The dogs enjoyed the outdoor breaks that she gave them!”

About: I absolutely love taking care of home pets! You will feel stress-free with me while taking care of your animals until you return home. I believe that animals need more love and care than just being let outside and fed. I have house and pet sat for two summers now, and I really love it! I am home from college, looking to have a simpler job during the summer! I am fully available all week and usually the weekends as well unless I'm on a trip! Very open to anything. I have a fenced yard for my pup at home, which helps them have more fun outside! I could also crate the animal if that is what is needed.
About: Nice to meet you, I'm Kat! I have been working in the pet industry since early 2019 - beginning as a kennel attendant, evolving into a professional dog trainer in two prominent KC training facilities, and now running my own small business in Overland Park. I am thoroughly versed in canine care and communication, and use my expertise to help every dog that stays with me have a comfortable and positive experience. Not only that, but I am also very knowledgeable in canine enrichment and stimulation. Have a high-energy, high-needs breed? They'll end their days with me happy and tired. A senior dog that has special needs and benefits from therapeutic stretches? Say no more. Puppies are absolutely welcome as well, and will have many opportunities to practice socialization, building confidence, and manners. My experience also means that I am able to care for dogs with behavioural issues and special health needs. I know it can be difficult to find care for dogs with "quirks," and I hope to make that search a little easier. Send me a message and we can chat about your dog and if I would be a good fit. I'm looking forward to meeting your pup! The pets I work with are my priority! I am able to build my schedule around the dogs that stay in my home. Before you book, we will have a chat about your pets' needs, and I can make sure to set up my schedule in a way that ensures that they will always get the attention they need and the love they deserve. 🐾IN MY HOME (boarding):🐾 (See "IN YOUR HOME" section below for housesitting. Boarding is dogs only. If you have other kinds of pets, please choose housesitting. Thank you!) My house is pretty well "dog-proofed" and oriented in a way that I am able to keep a close eye on pets from just about anywhere! So your pup gets to be the king of the castle, with lots of room inside & outside to run and play. Not to mention the mountain of toys.... When I cannot monitor them, they'll get to chill in a cozy crate or pen, with fresh water always available and a chew toy, puzzle, or snack to keep them entertained. For walks and other adventures, I will always keep your dog leashed and close to me. I love to take dogs out on excursions to parks, trails, and other such places! Of course, I will always check with you first to make sure that we don't go somewhere your dog doesn't enjoy. I have three adult dogs (all ~45lbs) and a cat in my home. The cat is dog-friendly, but also is able to be kept entirely separate from your dog if needed. My dogs are all 100% dog-friendly, have good play manners, and are also able to be neutral around/ignore other dogs when told. They are very patient with young puppies as well! And if your pup isn't one for new friends, don't worry - they can be kept totally separate on request, and your dog will still get plenty of one-on-one playtime & snuggles with me. It is 100% up to you if your pup has any interaction with other dogs (or the cat). Full separation is possible, but if you'd like your dog to make some furry friends, I am happy to safely facilitate that! All interactions between your dog and other pets will be of limited time and monitored - the dogs will never be alone together. For safety and management reasons, I cannot accept boarding bookings for dogs that are not able to be comfortable in a crate (or pen, for small dogs only). Have other questions or concerns? Send me a message and let's chat about it! Updates will be sent daily, as well as pictures and videos. I look forward to meeting your furry friends. 🐾IN YOUR HOME (housesitting):🐾 Dogs, cats, and exotic pets 👍 (See "IN MY HOME section above for boarding.) Your house, your rules! Before the booking, you & I will have a detailed conversation about your pets' schedule, rules, needs, and preferences. I am happy to follow all of that to a T! My job is to keep your pets happy and safe while you are away. With 7 years of pet care experience, I am confident in caring for all of their needs. This includes pets with behavioral concerns and special needs! For walks and other adventures, I will always keep your dog leashed and close to me. I love to take dogs out on excursions to parks, trails, and other such places, but I will always check with you first to make sure that we don't go somewhere your dog doesn't enjoy. Updates will be sent daily, as well as pictures and videos. I look forward to meeting your furry friends. (Scaled or feathered friends welcome, too!)

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
