About: Family pets have been part of most of my life. With no pets of my own now, I would like to enjoy and help other pet owners. I also enjoy walking. I am a retired RN who is looking for part time activities and income. I have elderly parents and grandchildren whom I help with but extra time for pet activities. Our yard is not fenced but larger sized and the neighborhood is mostly 5-20 acre homes. Our street is not a busy one, so walks are easy to do. I worked for a dog walking company for 2 years and then started my own pet care/dog walking business called Road Dogs Pet Care and Transportation. She is basically my daughters little sidekick and spends almost all of her time with her. She sometimes thinks she's a Doberman, but she's harmless and warms up quick. Once she warms up she's ready to run with the big dogs! They're both great girls and are used to new friends and visitors often. 😊 I'm home full-time and take care of my two kids, two dogs, and our aquatic turtle. Aside from running occasional errands or appointments, I'm able to give your dog or dogs all the love, attention, and playtime that they need. I'm also available for daily dog walks if needed. I have a large fully fenced yard for them to run and play in. They are all inside and outside frequently throughout the day as needed or as they please. Depending on the dog, their personality, and what they’re comfortable with, we may go for walks, visit a coffee shop, run errands, or simply hang out at home. On those days, the dogs get exercise before I leave and again when I get home, and I’ll likely plan an outing or some extra activity that afternoon. I keep a good balance of activity, structure, and downtime so dogs get plenty of attention without feeling like they have to be “on” all day. Safety is my top priority with every dog in my care. I have several kennels that I size appropriately for each dog, as well as a 6x6 indoor run for dogs who are more comfortable with additional space as well as a fenced backyard. When dogs are not directly supervised, they will always be either safely kenneled or in a secure indoor run. I also have two personal dogs who are well-balanced and respectful around other dogs and are occasionally part of my training and socialization work. I have extensive experience understanding dog-to-dog social dynamics and canine behavior, which allows me to meet each dog where they are and recognize the individual needs, boundaries, and comfort levels of the dogs in my care.
