About: I grew up on a working farm with working dogs and have had dogs my entire life. I currently love and manage a pack of 4 dogs in my home. 1 Great Pyrenees, 1 Pyrador, and 2 Komonees pups. They are my world! These are BIG girls. 60-90 pounds. They’re surprisingly agile so small dogs are ok! 100+ pound dogs are welcome. And every dog in between! We love dogs of all shapes and sizes and have hosted pups from 6-130 pounds. I’m experienced triaging in an emergency vet clinic, and can perform basic first aid, medication administration, post-op care, and more! In the past, I co-owned my own reptile and exotic LLC for 5 years, KC Cresties (dissolved due to divorce). So I’m comfortable and experienced caring for your scaly friends, sugar gliders, chinchillas, ferrets, prairie dogs, opossums, or whatever other cool friend(s) you have. Large snakes, monitors, and Iguanas are ok! My family successfully rehabbed 2 baby raccoons that lost their mom and returned them to the wild when it was time. The day they left and never came home was filled with joy and sadness that we were very fortunate to be a part of. We have 2 cats in the house who are friendly with both other cats and dogs. I keep a sturdy metal baby gate up for their space away from the dogs so they have a sanctuary. There’s very few animals I don’t have experience with, and I love them all. Big dogs and working dogs are no problem. Trouble with leash pulling? No problem. Got a hyper jumper? It’s ok, I’ve got a solid foundation. Puppies? No sweat, I have old laminate flooring and we walk every 2-3 hours. Lastly, you can count me as a former HR professional surrounding school aged children based organizations. I left HR to pursue a career with animals and am currently going doing online classes to earn my vet tech degree. Animals have always been my passion. Why choose me? It’s about the experience your beloved family member will have while you’re away. Lots of cuddles and snuggles. Scratchies behind the ears and belly rubs. Plenty of play time with other doggies. Special homemade treats. Daily photo updates. Did someone say treats? All my current classes are online so I’m able to accommodate most schedules for pick up and drop off. I have kids and a husband that help me out when needed. I’ll treat your pets with the same love and respect I treat my own. Pets are a big part of our lives and they are our family. Feeding time is approximately 8am and 6pm (unless otherwise requested). We add scrambled eggs to our morning feeding and homemade dog food to our dinner. Homemade food is AAFCO approved recipes. Every dog has their own food dish and 3 giant water bowls are available from 6am to 8pm. Water is picked up overnight for housebreaking purposes. Treat circles are 2-3 times per day. We work on basics. Sit, lay, paw, etc. Level 2 commands are practiced once per day for those who have mastered level 1. I love a good game of catch the treat! After commands, I always toss a few rounds of treats. I have a well stocked variety of treats, so your pups dietary preferences can be honored. Each dog is walked separately. Belle alerts us when it’s walk time. Every 2-3 hours. Weather permitting, our dogs like to sit and wait on the porch for their turn to walk. It’s a gated 10x20. Please let me know if your dog is an escape artist or a jumper so that I can take proper safety precautions. If your pup does decides they need an additional potty break, that’s no problem either. Our dogs and cats are all current on vaccinations and take heart-worm and flea preventive through our vet’s office. Records can be provided upon request. Cat sitting can be provided on the other half of the house divided by a sturdy metal baby gate. Cats will be provided with toys and separate meal dishes according to your feeding instructions. Litter will be changed daily. Small animals and Exotic care: for most exotics leaving the home is very stressful and recommended care is in your home. However there are exceptions to this rule. We can discuss your unique needs and what is most appropriate for your pets health and well being. Some animals in small habitats don’t mind staying somewhere new as long as they’re safe in their world. Transportable habitats are welcome.

“Aubrey was great! We were anxious about finding care for our rescue dog, and Aubrey came and met him and had an instant connection! She went above and beyond playing with him and had great communication. Highly recommend!”

“Rachel did an excellent job of taking care of our two cats. One is shy and she got him to come out for a bit and he needed meds which she gave him. She did a great job of keeping us posted on their well being while we were gone!”

“Did such a great job and cleaned up after all the muddy days! The dogs and cat were very happy and her pictures were great! Excellent communication especially over the holidays”

About: Hi, I’m Avry! What sets me apart from your average pet sitter is my professional background. I spent over a year working at a local, small business dog daycare and boarding facility, which means your furry family member isn't just getting a companion—they’re getting someone trained in professional pack management, safety protocols, and diverse canine behaviors. I have a deep, lifelong love for all animals and genuinely treat them like human members of the family. Whether your pup needs high-energy playtime or quiet, patient comfort, I adapt completely to their vibe. My Hands-On Expertise Includes: Puppy Prodigy: Patient care and routine-building for the littlest ones. Senior & Special Needs Comfort: Experienced in gentle handling for aging or injured dogs. Medication Management: Confident and precise with oral or topical medical needs. Energy Matching: From exhausting the high-energy athletes to cuddling the low-energy couch potatoes. Reliable & Trusted: I currently manage weekday care for a private family, seamlessly blending their dog's routine into my daily schedule (even bringing them to work with me!). When your pet is with me, they get the structure and safety of a professional handler combined with the cozy, one-on-one affection in their own home. I can't wait to meet your best friend(s)! Because I lead an active and structured life, I thrive on routine—and so do dogs! I don't just 'fit' your pup into my schedule; they become a seamless part of my daily rhythm. Whether I’m working, opening shifts, or running errands, your dog receives dedicated, high-quality attention. I treat my busy days as opportunities for structured walks, mental stimulation, and perfectly timed potty breaks, ensuring your pup is never just waiting around, but actively cared for and loved. Consistency is Key: I mirror your dog's exact feeding, medication, and bathroom schedule, blending it perfectly with my own daily routines. Built-In Companionship: My schedule includes dedicated 'pup-first' blocks for high-energy exercise, structured decompression time, and plenty of belly rubs. On-the-Go Care: With my background, I’m an expert at managing time. Your dog gets a dynamic day filled with attention, not a lonely day waiting by the door. Proactive Communication: Even on my busiest days, you’ll receive regular photo updates and check-ins so you never have to wonder how your best friend is doing. Safety isn't a afterthought for me—it's my background. Having spent over a year working in a high-volume dog daycare and boarding facility, I am professionally trained in canine body language, pack management, and emergency safety protocols. I know how to spot the subtle signs of stress, fatigue, or illness before they become issues. Whether administering time-sensitive medication, caring for an injured pup, or supervising playtime, I apply professional facility-grade safety standards to every single pet in my care. You can rest easy knowing your dog is in hands that know exactly what to do in any situation." Quick Bullet Points to Include: Canine Body Language: Professionally trained to read dog behavior and prevent conflicts before they start. Medication & Injury Care: Fully confident and experienced in administering oral/topical medications and managing pups recovering from injuries. Constant Supervision: Pups are never left unattended in situations where safety could be compromised. Open Communication: I provide transparent, honest updates and photos so you are always in the loop.
“One of our pups is very anxious around new people and Rachel has been so great with her. She lets her take her time to warm up to her and it has been such a relief to have someone we can rely on to take such good care of them.”

About: I currently work in a doggy daycare, so pretty much my whole day is spent feeding dogs, administering medications, walking, and monitoring/redirecting interactions! In short, I spend a lot of time with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and care requirements! I have my own kitties and have a ton of experience from caring for them & for different members of my family! I work from 6:30 to 2:30 Tuesday through Friday. I would be able to do morning feeding and walks before work on those days, then additional feedings or walks after. On Saturday, I work 6:30 to 4:00, then I’m back from 7:30 to around 8:00. I could do drop-ins in between those times! Sunday and Monday I am free all day! My current job requires a lot of responsibility since we are walking dogs next to two busy streets, sometimes boarding reactive dogs that require specific walking protocols, feeding dogs with allergies, and administering all sorts of medications to dogs. I know how to pay attention and keep a dog safe, lock up when I’m done, and overall just do my best to maintain the trust between our pet parents! I know what a big deal it is to be trusted with somebody’s pet and I take safety really seriously.
“Katie was amazing! She took great care of my pup and sent me picture updates along the way! She was very responsive as well which I appreciate! I would definitely recommend her to anyone in the area!!”

“Susan was very attentive to the needs of our fur babies while we traveled. One of our cats has special needs and she clearly understood what needed to be done and made it happen. Susan is so personable and friendly, someone we'd love to have as a friend. Our care instructions for our cats and home were attended to in a very professional and friendly manner. If she is available the next time we need such services, we will definitely look her up!”

“Christina was very reliable (even came during huge storms), and very communicative! She also got creative when Snickers (my cat) slowed down eating. I will absolutely use her again.”

“Stephanie went above and beyond to keep Teddy company while we were gone! She worked with our friend on the best schedule, walked him, feed him, and played with him! We adore Stephanie!!! Thank yoU for loving Teddy!”

“Kaitlin was great! She was happy to play with my puppy and sent me picture updates from her drop ins! My doggo looked very happy and well-taken care of! I would definitely use Kaitlin again in the future!”

“Brianna had her hands full with a high energy 10 month old pup and a 14 year old sweet old man-dog as well as keeping an eye on the cats so they don't get into the holiday buffet awaiting my guest during a progressive dinner. No task seems to be an obstacle for her. Everything was calm and undisturbed when I and my 16 guest arrived. She kept the big-pup calm while everyone settled in. She understands instructions quickly and is great with both cats and dogs of all ages.”

About: I’ve always had a love for animals and truly enjoy caring for them. While I don’t currently have pets of our own, I would love to be part-time pet parents and provide a safe, loving environment while you’re away. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I treat every animal with genuine care. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I’m here to make sure they feel comfortable and loved. I work regular weekday business hours, but I am still available for pet care services before and after work, evenings, weekends, and overnight stays. I’m committed to providing dependable, attentive care and will always communicate my schedule clearly. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I treat every home with respect and follow each pet’s routine as closely as possible. I’m attentive to each animal’s individual needs to help them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away.

Sarah was everything that we were looking for in a sitter for our elderly cat! Reliable and timely visits, excellent and personable communication, and easily handled detailed instructions for medications and food. Cat areas were tidy and well maintained when we returned home, and she handled all directions with ease while we were gone. We would certainly love to have her return next time we need to go out of town :)

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
