Derrika was great with our pup! She was very professional and I had a high degree of confidence that our little guy was well cared for and loved while we were away. I loved feeling like it brought her joy to be with him too and not just a transaction. We’ll definitely be back!

Amazing. Sylveena is wonderful. She fit me in last minute and my Snick loved being there. She sent plenty of photos and most of all my baby slept like a baby when I picked her up. Sylveena is great and I will definitely book with her again.

About: I have had dogs in my family since I was a child and have years of experience with various breeds. I work from home most days and happy to get active with the doggos. I have a loving a cuddly home and treat all my fur guests as family. As someone with a senior dog, I am very patient and know how to accommate the additional needs some pets may have. With my flexible work from home schedule, I am able to be home during the week, to take your dog out for walks, potty breaks, cuddle, and to play. I am also available on weekends. With the exclusion of running errands, while your dog is with me, they will never be left alone for more than a few hours extended amount of time. I have a fenced in back yard for your dog to run free in. I also have a senior chihuahua who is very chill and unbothered, so as long as your dog likes other dogs, they will get along just fine. I do let dogs sit on the couch and get on the bed, however, I will respect that boundary if you do not allow that for your pets. I know all families have different schedules for potty and feeding times, and my schedule is flexible so I can keep your dog on track even while you are gone.

This was our first time using Christine for doggy daycare and I couldn’t be happier! She’s extremely communicative — sending thoughtful updates and pictures throughout my shift — which really put my mind at ease. Christine went above and beyond to make buddy and I feel comfortable. It’s clear she truly cares about the dogs she watches, and we’re so grateful for the wonderful experience. Highly recommend!

About: I've been training and taking care of dogs for 33 years. I had a couple childhood pets then when I was 18 I adopted and trained a dog that stayed with my family for 15 years. I also had a Labrador who made it to 13 and my current old man puppy is 13. I've been with my husband for 20 years. We LOVE dogs of all ages and sizes. I'm a stay at home mom to my geriatric dog. We get up around 6am, go outside for a bit, come in and get breakfast, then lounge while I clean. Lunchtime we go out again, have healthy snacks like carrots, then play in the fenced in yard or the living room depending on weather and temperature. Late afternoon and evening we wind down and get ready for dinner. I have a fenced in yard, a friendly old dog, tiled floors, comfortable furniture that they're allowed on, and air vents that come from the floors (dogs love to lay on them). There is security on my home and absolutely nobody but delivery people come here during the day.

Ron provided a safe and comfortable setting for an anxious rescue dog who had never before been boarded. He gave Peanut the space he needed and waited for the dog to come around. Any other approach would probably have heightened Peanut's stress. Ron is patient. He also doesn't rely on a cage, another reason we picked him. Hoping for future visits.

We are so pleased with this outstanding service. Our puppy Buddy (18 month-old Newfiedoodle) totally enjoyed his experience with Shawn. He came home to us happy and went back to Shawn happily the next day. Shawn was a delight to work with. We’ll use his outstanding service again next time we’re in the KC area. Thanks so very much for making this a great experience.

About: Moonbabies Little Lodge offers boutique home boarding designed especially for small dogs who enjoy a calm household environment. Your dog will stay in a cozy home setting with a small resident pack of friendly toy-breed dogs and plenty of supervised outdoor playtime in our secure backyard play yard. Our yard features enrichment areas just for small dogs, including ramps, tunnels, lounging spots, and shaded cabana areas where pups can relax between play sessions. In warm weather we even bring out a splash pad for dogs who enjoy cooling off. Inside the home, dogs are part of the family during the day and sleep comfortably in their own individual night pens with beds and toys for a peaceful evening routine. Because this is a small home environment, we typically host only 2–3 guest dogs at a time, allowing us to give each dog plenty of attention and supervision. This setup works best for dogs who: • are under about 20 lbs • are comfortable around other small dogs • are house trained • can relax calmly in a pen or crate if needed A meet-and-greet is required before first bookings to ensure everyone is a good fit. We look forward to welcoming your pup to Moonbabies Little Lodge — where little dogs have big fun. Caring for dogs is already part of my everyday life! Guest dogs join our calm daily small-dog household routine with supervised backyard playtime, indoor relaxation, naps, cuddles, and social interaction throughout the day. I keep my guest list intentionally small so each dog receives close supervision and personal attention in a comfortable home environment. Moonbabies Little Lodge is designed specifically for friendly small dogs. Dogs enjoy supervised play in a secure fenced backyard and are introduced gradually to maintain a calm group dynamic. Guest dogs are monitored closely and separated if needed for rest, meals, or quiet time. Overnight, dogs sleep safely in cozy individual pens with their own bedding, food, and water.

I know how to handle dogs even big dogs that pull on the leash. I can help keep training consistent. I run a home daycare and help care for my mom and homeschool my autistic son with time, room and love to give your doggies. Yogi and I feel extremely fortunate to have found Derrika and her family. I moved on Friday, and I can honestly say the thing we will miss most is the care, love, and attention Yogi received from them. They were absolutely wonderful with him and treated him as if he were their own. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in such kind and loving hands. God forbid if anything ever happened to me, they would be the first people I would trust to care for him for the rest of his life. They truly loved Yogi like he was part of their family, and I am incredibly grateful for the care they gave him.

Derrika is FANTASTIC!!! She and her family are so incredibly friendly, kind and warm hearted. On the first day that Yogi (my doggo) was there he warmed up immediately - this was so easy for him as he knows & trusts great people. I got several lovely pictures - one of which was Yogi on her couch resting his head on her son’s legs. Yogi doesn’t do this unless he is very chill. You & your doggo will be grateful that you found her!!

My doggo has A LOT of energy and wanted to play & go for walks. I had intense food poisoning and all of the lovely symptoms that go along with food poisoning. I was on the verge of passing out each time I walked to the bathroom. I could not tend to my 🐶. It was much later in the evening & I texted Derrika asking if she could pick him up. Not only did she drive to my place to get him- she brought me supplies to combat my nausea/vomiting/etc. This was totally unexpected and just a testament to what an awesome person she is. It is great knowing Yogi’s second home is with she and her family.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Raytown commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 743 sitters in Raytown, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
