About: Hi there! You can call me Steph 🤗 Growing up, family friends and school teachers would often ask me to pet/house sit their fur babies as they knew how much I care about the well-being of all animals. I understand that a lot of pets do not easily trust others, for me this is important in being able to give an animal their space and respecting their boundaries. I make sure to take my time with getting to know each pet I care for. I also have experience caring for birds and rodents 🤗 I am currently working from home part time and am available to provide frequent potty breaks and frequent play. I have my own dog who i take to a nearby park twice a day in addition to several short breaks throughout the day. I have plenty of apartment space for play and have my own dog to keep your baby company while they are visiting. I also let animals on my furniture so they can really feel at home and comfortable.

About: I’ve consistently taken care of dogs for the past four years. I have two pups of my own, both male pugs, that I love very much and will take care of your pups with the same amount of love and care. My goal is to communicate with you so that your dog, no matter the age or energy level, has the best time while their owner is away! I am a student and in the summer work part-time, so any Rover job can be tailored to my schedule as needed! I work for small chunks at a time in the afternoons, so I can see your pup before and after (if needed). Let’s work something out together! I love my own little pugs very much and understand the love that dog parents have for their pups. Communication is extremely important to me so I can prepare for your dog before hand and can communicate back to you how they are doing!

About: I have been a dog owner for over ten years now. Although my pets no longer live with me in New York (they are with my parents) I know how to care for them and meet their specific needs. I believe that it is important for dogs to receive the proper exercise and play necessary for them to live happy and healthy lives. I also think it is very important for dogs to play as it keeps them alert and sharp as they grow older. Essentially I would treat a stranger's dog just as well as I would treat my own and ensure that they are well cared for. As a plus: I can also take of cats, I've had several of them myself and apply the same policy that I have with dogs.

About: I was practically raised by dogs as a child. I spent a lot of time with various dogs such as Irish Setters, Labs, Poodles, and Hounds; bringing them to parks and beaches to walk and play. I can throw a ball pretty far, and a Frisbee even further. I can help reinforce verbal commands and administer oral medication. I am currently self employed, so I am able to set my own schedule. I can accommodate your pet's routine while you are away, helping both of you stay as low stress as possible. Your pet gets to stay comfortable in a familiar space. I am typically a calm and quiet person who can assert themselves as necessary, keeping your pets calm, safe and reassured.

“Discovering Laine was really lucky. Using Rover, she was the most satisfying sitter I met. She is attentive and cares about even the little things. Plus, she's really good at finding out where the cats are hiding and sent photos. Highly recommended.”

“Paige was amazing. She came over to spend a few hours with my 10 week old pup to give this puppy mama a much needed break. She showed up on time/early, was easy to communicate with and super friendly, and my girl had a great time. We can’t wait to see her again soon!”

About: I have been taking care of pets since my childhood, as my family always had dogs, cats, and reptiles. I even had a bunny and a hedgehog at one point, which you don’t see very often. I have seen a large variety of personality and needs from all of the pets I have owned, as well as pets of family and friends who have needed assistance with care when they are away. I have experience with anxious animals, reactive animals, etc. so I am very aware of different stressors for pets, and want to make sure I give them the best experience in my care. I am currently working full-time from home, so I am fully available for pet care after work around 5pm. Because I work from home I am more flexible if I need to step out at times throughout the day to provide drop in pet care services. I can even bring my work with me if of course more time permits to a certain caregiving job. I prioritize your pet’s safety by keeping your dog on leash at all times during walks and being aware of my surroundings while on walks. It is important for me to be notified of any behavior issues before working with your animal to keep your animal, other people/animals, and myself safe. Whether I am caring for your pet in home or out for a walk, I will always make sure your animal feels safe and comfortable to the best of my ability.

About: I am a lover of all animals and have experience caring for pets of all shapes and sizes. I am always delighted to meet others’ furry friends and give them the care and love they deserve. I have experience cat sitting at many neighbors’ and friends’ homes, and I had a cat of my own in the past. I have cared for neighbors’ and friends’ dogs from a range of dog breeds, and am prepared to take them on walks and provide bathroom breaks as well as play. I also have experience working on a farm, where I’ve cared for and interacted with kittens, pigs, sheep, goats, rabbits, chinchillas, and snakes. I am a quick learner and will do everything I can to provide the best care possible for the animals in your family. I am a part-time student with a very open schedule. I have the flexibility to care for your pets at most times of the day, as well as the freedom to pet-sit over night at your home. I am happy to care for your pets at your home and will follow all guidelines put in place by you. I have experience caring for my neighbors’ pets in their homes as well as taking their dogs out for walks and bathroom breaks.

“Nothing but best experience with Allison! She’s super communicative, thoughtful and did great hanging with our two French bulldogs for a drop-in. Highly recommend!”

“Mackenzie was amazing to work with! Our kitty is stranger-adverse especially when we're away, but she was patient and gave him lots of space to feel comfortable while visiting. She was really easy to communicate with each step of the way and sent great updates/pictures each day.”

About: I have lived on a farm since I was 6 years old and have always loved taking care of the animals. I have pet sat for my family, friends and neighbors plenty of times and find it genuinely enjoyable. I have experience giving shots and medication if that is needed. I have worked at several pet/livestock stores, which has helped increase my knowledge of what pets need and how to properly help them. I can guarantee the safety and satisfaction of your fur baby I am free all days except Sunday mornings. I have a flexible schedule so am willing to take any calls last minute if you ever need. Due to the place I live, unfortunately I cannot host pets, but I am more than willing to be a mode of transportation to get from place to place. I will follow whatever requirements are needed for the pet but will always give extra love and attention to them

“Michelle took wonderful care of my cat Thelma while I was traveling. She communicated very well and set up a time prior to the visit to meet with me and my cat. She gave Thelma so much extra love and attention and I appreciated her thorough updates and photos of her visits. Thank you Michelle!”

About: I work fully remotely and only look after animals from one household at a time to ensure I can give your pets the relaxing vacation experience they deserve while you’re away! Since I work from home, I’m available for boarding all day long on weekdays. On weekends I can sometimes be gone for half a day, so it’d be good to get advance notice (2 weeks would be best) if your pets cannot be left alone for that long. I have a three story townhouse so there should be lots of space to accommodate your pets and their toys and furniture if needed. My house is smoke free, alcohol free, and kid free. Also pets are allowed on furniture!

“Had Steph take care of my parakeets while I went away for a week and though I hate to leave my birdies, I knew they were well taken care of. They don't really care for other people but I'd get picture updates everyday with Steph interacting with them and they looked so happy. Im glad I was able to leave my little ones in Steph's care.”

Alexandra D.
“Alex was absolutely wonderful with my dog Tuna! Throughout the time Alex was dog-sitting, we received regular updates and photos, which gave total peace of mind. Tuna was well cared for, walked, fed, and given plenty of attention and affection. We came home to a very content pup! We’d trust Alex with Tuna anytime and highly recommend her to anyone in need of a caring and responsible pet sitter.”

Nicholas M.
“Nick is a true animal lover! He always makes friends with dogs wherever he goes, and his calm and gentle nature usually has them melted in his lap in a matter of minutes. Nick is also a dedicated cat caretaker. He is very respectful and gentle with cats that need pills or injections. He takes special care to make sure that my cat's food is just the way he likes it. He does a great job cleaning litter boxes and any out of box messes my senior cat might make. Nick is now one of my senior cat's best buddies and they always enjoy spending time together.”

“Jackson took awesome care of my dog Sam! Sam totally loved him and Jackson was reliable and communicative.”

Avery B.
“I’ve known Avery since they were very young, and I can confidently say they have a genuine love for animals and a natural ability to care for them. Even as a child, Avery would go out of their way to spend time with my cats—sometimes sitting outside in the cold just to be near them. That kind of quiet dedication and empathy has always been part of who they are. Because their own family had pet allergies, Avery found creative and responsible ways to meet their desire to care for animals by tending to the pets of others. They’ve always been attuned to animals’ needs and emotions, approaching them with both gentleness and playfulness. I think becoming a pet sitter is a perfect fit for Avery and a gift to anyone who needs reliable, loving help with their pets. I would trust them completely with my own.”
