“Qin En took good care of my cat Echo while I was out of town. She sent me multiple pictures/videos a day so I can enjoy my vacation while making sure my cat is doing well. She genuinely loves cats and actually any animals! 😂 highly recommend 😊”

“Denis and his wife are so sweet and took great care of our dog while we were at a concert at Forest Hills stadium. Would 100% use them again. Close to the R train!”

“Awesome dog sitter! Sent me pictures and gave me updates everyday. I’m not sure my dog even wanted to come home after staying with them. Will definitely use them again.”

“Great experience with Grace. She has a fenced backyard that the dogs can play in. She provides daily picture updates and tells u how your dog is doing. Very accommodating to any requests. Would definitely book again!”

“Keoma is the best of the best! I am not an avid Rover user as I’ve luckily maintained a large friend group who will care for my dog, Stan. As a result, I was a little nervous to leave him with a Rover for a long period of time but trusted in Keoma’s wide array of overly positive reviews. I was not disappointed - Keoma met with me prior to the stay, talked me through the process and cared for my boy so well! Stan returned so happy and playful, it was clear he had the best time in her care. Pictures and texts about his well being were constant so any anxiety I had going in was eased. I will 1000% be using Keoma in the future - and I know Stan can’t wait to be with her too. Thank you Keoma!”

“I had a great experience with Tina! She took the time to meet Summer on short notice before taking care of her. She sent pictures and updates twice a day and I could tell Summer had a great time. She also has a fenced backyard where Summer enjoyed playing fetch and getting her zoomies out. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter.”

“Ilona was Great with Glitter! She took us last minute after another sitter cancel. Glitter had a lot of fun and made a lot of new. Friends. Ilona knows her stuff how to introduce her and get comfortable. I'm super happy with her service and will highly recommend.”

“Clean house, secure backyard, and updated photos of my wonderful pet!! What else could I ask for? Michelle was a wonderful host who made my pet (and me) feel safe and calm. From the photos, my Mila felt right at home. To end Mila's visit, she was given a "to go" gift bag from this super host. I will definitely be using her again!”

“We had a great experience with Aritra! He was incredibly accommodating for a last-minute booking after our original sitter had to cancel due to an emergency. He was very thorough, asked detailed questions, and had a great routine. Our Great Dane and senior Golden Retriever were happy and healthy when we picked them up, and they had plenty of playtime in his backyard. He even went above and beyond by helping my mother-in-law pack up her truck, which was such a kind gesture. The only thing I wish was getting a few more photo updates of the dogs only because I missed them so much 🥲 I’d highly recommend him to other dog parents, especially ones with Great Danes.”
“We had an amazing experience leaving our puppy with Thoselin. She used to send me daily updates during her long term stay. In addition, she followed a very good schedule and genuinely cared about her. Our puppy had a really great time with her and came back calm and happy.”

“Amy was so pleasant from beginning to end! Very good communication and was kind enough to send daily updates and photos of our pup, which was very reassuring for us as first-time Rover users. I would 100% rebook with Amy and highly recommend her to anyone who needs a dog sitter.”

“Jonalynn was awesome and came in clutch for a last minute booking with my Bully/Pit mix. She was awesome. My dog Bleu loved his stay and has been sad since leaving her.”

“Always amazing and I am truly grateful for you. Mia LOVES you so much. She’s been sleeping since she got home from how busy she is at your house. I thank you so much for taking such great care of my pup. ♥️”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for about 5 years, and over that time I’ve also helped look after dogs for family and friends whenever they needed someone they could trust. I’m a very caring, patient, and detail-oriented person, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs and getting to know their different personalities. When a dog stays with me, I want them to feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for — and I want their owners to feel the same peace of mind. I always keep owners updated with lots of photos and videos, so even while you’re traveling, you’ll know your pup is getting plenty of love and attention. Caring for dogs is an important part of my daily life, and it’s something I genuinely enjoy. Right now, pet care is my full-time focus, which means I have the time, energy, and flexibility to give dogs lots of attention throughout the day. I’m also pet CPR certified, and I always do my best to provide a safe, loving, and attentive environment for every pup staying with me. I live in a clean and well-kept apartment and do our best to create a calm, safe, and comfortable environment for dogs in our care. I also have a 3-year-old Border Collie who is very sweet, gentle, and full of positive energy. He has done very well with other dogs and has enjoyed spending time and playing with them. Throughout the day, I make sure dogs get regular potty breaks, outdoor time, and time to relax and settle in comfortably at home. After coming back inside, I clean their paws to help keep them clean and comfortable while also maintaining a tidy living space. I also pay attention to brushing and overall cleanliness so dogs can feel comfortable during their stay. Most importantly, I pay close attention to each dog’s comfort level, personality, and interactions to help maintain a safe and positive environment for everyone.

“First time using Rover and meeting Robin. She was very helpful in trying to keep my cat comfortable and well fed at all times. My cat is shy, so he spent a lot of time hiding, but she did keep me updated whenever he came out of hiding and went in view of cameras she has installed to monitor all the pet’s activity. I appreciate her willingness & patience as well as working with me to keep me updated. I would definitely go back to her if I ever needed a sitter again.”

“I've booked with Nari & Ryan several times and they are the only people I trust with my dog, superseding close friends and family . They provide photos, videos and updates without having to request them and it's always a nice surprise. It's clear that they adhere to all given instructions and ensure his safety and happiness. But the biggest indicator of their great care is how excited my dog is to see them every time. He zips in their home without giving a me a second look (sad but glad), greeting their lovely daughter who is equally as responsible. Every time, I book in hopes that they are available. Thank you Nari!”

“Last minute booking and I’m so happy they were able to take care of my baby boy! Thank you so much taking him in, keeping him safe and happy. If I could give you 10 stars I would. Thank you again”

“Wendy took excellent care of my dog. She tailored her care depending on his individual needs. Jasper was calm and happy when I picked him up. What a great experience. Thank you.”

“Steven and Jennifer was amazing with my baby Max. I received so many pictures and videos. The communication was impeccable. I will definitely use them again for sure. Thank you so much.”

Grace is a thoughtful sitter. I felt safe to have left my fur buddy with her for a longer stay. During that stay my pet got sick and Grace was fully involved and did everything necessary to get the care it needed. She was also proactively communicating thought the emergency. I’m glad that my pet was in her hands when this happened. I fully recommend her services. Thank you Grace!

I booked Nusrat to take care of my cat for a week and she was great! Super communicative with regular updates and pictures. I was anxious about leaving my cat with a sitter for the first time but upon dropping my cat off inside Nusrat's house, I felt at ease because I noticed how patient and caring she was with her. My cat looked very comfortable and relaxed in the daily update pictures and was also the same way when I picked her up at the end of the booking. Would book again:)

I was looking for a last minute dog sitter and was so relieved to come across Aritra. Seeing that he had over 200 five star reviews immediately gave me confidence that Max would be in great hands. From the very beginning, Aritra was incredibly responsive to every text message and phone call. He even took the time to schedule a video call and a meet and greet before I booked, which made me feel even more comfortable leaving my standard poodle, Max, in his care. Throughout Max’s stay, Aritra kept me updated with videos and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear that Max was happy, well cared for, and enjoying his time with him. I highly recommend Aritra to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable dog sitter. I will absolutely be booking with him again for Max!
We had a great experience having our 5 month old kitten stay with Suraia while we were out of town. She was a great communicator and kept us updated with pictures and updates regularly on how our kitten was doing. We felt so safe having our baby stay with her and will definitely recommend her to our friends and book with her in the future!

Gracie was phenomenal! She was incredibly communicative, kept us updated throughout our entire vacation, and took such great care of our Pepper. Knowing Pepper was in good hands gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that she genuinely cared for her and treated her like one of her own. We are so grateful for everything she did and would absolutely book with her again. Highly recommend! 🐾💕

Lawrence is super friendly and clearly very knowledgable and experienced with cats. We knew from the start that our cat Gambit would be in good hands. He is so easy to work with, especially for first time cat parents being away for the first time. Gambit felt comfortable around him immediately and looked right at home! We truly appreciated the updates which included photos and videos as well. We were at ease traveling knowing that Gambit was safe with Lawrence. We are so grateful and highly recommend Lawrence! I know Gambit had a blast and can’t wait to be back lol

Jancid was amazing!! I strongly recommend her services. She is very genuine, and very caring when it came to welcoming my pup in her home. She went above and beyond, and took great care of my dog. She is communicative, and sent pictures and videos of him throughout the boarding experience.
An excellent experience. I was comfortable on vacation knowing my baby was in great hands. I got a picture of my Stormi☔️ everyday. She looked happy romping around the huge backyard. When I went to pick her up she wanted to stay. That’s the best sign of a great time.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
