“I've booked with Nari & Ryan several times and they are the only people I trust with my dog, superseding close friends and family . They provide photos, videos and updates without having to request them and it's always a nice surprise. It's clear that they adhere to all given instructions and ensure his safety and happiness. But the biggest indicator of their great care is how excited my dog is to see them every time. He zips in their home without giving a me a second look (sad but glad), greeting their lovely daughter who is equally as responsible. Every time, I book in hopes that they are available. Thank you Nari!”

“Wow, what an experience and blessing. Had an out of town emergency and this amazing hooman came to our rescue. Understanding that Ms. Arianna does not accept puppies and STILL accepted to care of my wild child was a blessing. With Charlie being a high energy pup Adriana had patience to give him all the cuddles and bring his anxiety down. Very communicative through out the day and constant photos of my little terror playing happily. My worries were laid to rest because Adriana is simply the best. Without hesitation I will book Adriana and I Highly recommend this incredible hooman to care of your furbabies. Thank You Adriana ! You are incredible!”

“Ruth-Ann and Brandon are amazing!!! Our furries came home happy and excited from a week long adventure at their home. They sent us daily photos and videos (which kept us at ease since that was their first stay with Ruth-Ann and Brandon). We would definitely rebook them again in the future.”

“We had a unique situation that lead us to Eric and he was incredibly accommodating. I forgot my dog's bed and he was able to provide one. He took great care of our shepherd and sent us several photos to show us our dog was doing just fine. Eric is a super nice guy to boot! Would highly recommend!”

“So very happy my dog was able to stay with Amy and her family. We had multiple updates throughout the day with many pictures. We felt confident our dog was in safe and loving hands. Would definitely use her services again in the future.”
About: I’ve cared for dogs of all ages and sizes, treating each one like my own. From playful pups to senior snuggle bugs, I want your pets to feel safe, loved, and happy. I am a home care speech therapist who works close to home. I have a flexible schedule, allowing me to give your pet and mine plenty of attention and care. Plus, a loving family member is always home for extra company! I create a calm, loving environment with lots of play, cuddles, and routine. Whether in my home or yours, I follow your pet’s schedule to keep them happy and comfortable. Available for meet and greet by Mary Jane Davies park prior to pet boarding. As a personal preference, we don’t do meet & greets in the home and don’t take more than one dog (unless it’s from the same family, 2 max). Big on sending updates and pictures.

“John was the perfect choice to watch my sweet Barney while I was on a vacation. He is a true dog lover and treated Barney as his own. I will definitely be leaving my pup in his care when i travel in the future. So Thankful to have found John!”

“This was my first time booking with Vanessa, and it went great! We met beforehand so Maverick could get to know her and her home, which have me peace of mind. Maverick loved playing with Oreo and Moreno, and had access to the backyard all the time. Vanessa kept me updated with pictures and videos throughout his stay. I could tell he was happy and well cared for. I will definitely book with her again!”

“I’ve used Britany twice so far and have had a good experience each time. My puppy is eager to see her so I know he’s been well taken care of. Britany does pick ups and drops offs which is a huge help when you’re juggling a lot before heading out of town. I definitely recommend her.”

“Joey was great! His entire family are so warm and friendly and set my anxiety about dog sitting my large, spoiled, tripod, Cersei, at ease. She loved them and literally ran in the house without me which never happens with strangers. Joey sent tons of pictures and did an excellent job catering to my fur babies needs. 10 out of 10 highly recommend! ☺️”

“Margarita and Cristian were amazing with Milky! They provided daily updates with photos, videos, and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. Margarita is incredibly sweet, and Milky looked happy and comfortable in every single picture. I could tell she really enjoyed her stay. I would highly recommend Margarita and Cristian to anyone looking for loving and reliable pet sitters!”

“Sabrina was so attentive and caring. She took amazing care of my puppy. He just had a surgery and I didn’t have to worry about him at all during my trip. Thanks again”

“Lynn’s DogBNB #1: My puppy was in GOOOOD HANDS. To begin, Lynn gave us a very uplifting yet calm impression when we first met. She seemed to be familiar with puggles and their traits which was a huge plus in my book. Secondly, Lynn had a nice controlled setup in her well gated backyard where she allowed Walnut to get plenty of air and have roaming time throughout his 3day/2night stay with her. (Thank you for the adorable pictures!) Lastly, Lynn even volunteered to cook up some sweet potatoes as a food topper for my picky eater Walnut so he would actually finish his dinner. I mean how incredibly thoughtful was that? As a frequent traveler, it is extremely crucial for me to find someone experienced that will have Walnut’s best interest in mind at ALL TIMES while we are separated. Extra love and kindness. Isn’t that what we all as pet parents are searching for when our dogs are confused and anxious about as to why they are left behind in a strangers’ home? I’m grateful for the peace of mind that Lynn gave us during my last minute booking with her. I’m sure Walnut is also looking forward to his next doggyvacay with Lynn. ⭐️”

“Jana is awesome! She is responsive and kept us updated with pictures. We felt comfortable leaving Nori in her care and Nori really seemed to enjoy her stay there as well. We think she was sad to leave lol. Luckily, we already booked again with Jana for another upcoming trip!”

“I left my poodle-mix named Scruffy, with Megan and Brian so that I could go away with my husband for a few days to visit family. They were incredibly kind and trustworthy, and I could tell as soon as a I met them that they would be good sitters. Their own dog, Duke, is a good-natured and well behaved dog, and my dog really liked him. Their home is super clean with a cheerful and loving atmosphere. They took such good care of Scruffy, I could see when I picked him up that he had been happy and well cared for. Megan and Brian had also sent me photos of my dog throughout while I was away, which I really appreciated. As soon as you meet Megan and Brian you can see that they are genuinely good people who truly love dogs. I give my highest recommendation to them, and they will always be my first choice to sit my dog when I am traveling somewhere that I cannot bring him. 10 out of 10.”

“Susan is the best. Your pup will be well cared for, cuddled with, and you can trust you’ll have the ultimate peace of mind — amplified by the onslaught of pics and updates knowing your furry loved one is in capable and affectionate hands 💫”

“David is fantastic, as always! Our top sitter choice in the neighborhood. Tati enjoys her time with David so much that she pulls toward his apartment when we walk her!”

“Gaby and her husband were wonderful with my pet cat Bushoo. They sent daily updates with photos, and Bushoo seemed happy when she came home. I will definitely be rebooking with them!”

Abbie was fantastic watching our dog Mongchi overnight! She sent regular videos and pictures throughout the stay, so we always felt in the loop and could tell Mongchi was happy and comfortable in her care. He even got to play with her dog Peachy, and it was so sweet seeing them become friends — Mongchi had a blast! Drop-off and pick-up were both easy and stress-free. Abbie is communicative, caring, and it's obvious she genuinely loves the dogs she watches. We felt completely at ease leaving Mongchi with her. We'll definitely be booking with Abbie again!
This was my first time using a dog sitter and Erica was absolutely amazing with Lady. She updated me regularly and took very good care of Lady. She understands and caters to the needs of the puppies very well and also us! lady had a great time and will definitely recommend Erica in the future.

Katelyn and Daniel are absolutely amazing! They really saved the day! To cut a long story short, my original dog sitter, whom I had booked months in advance for my trip, canceled on Leela at the last minute. When she met Leela, she said Leela was barking too much and that her apartment situation wasn't suitable for a vocal dog like Leela. My husband and I rushed to find another sitter and found Katelyn. We reached out to her about our upcoming trip and asked if they could take care of Leela for a week. We were completely honest with them about Leela’s behavior and boarding requirements, and they were incredibly understanding and accommodating. They met Leela and inquired about any specific concerns or instructions I had for her care. Katelyn and Daniel really put my mind at ease while my husband and I were away. We received daily updates from them, and Leela really took a liking to them, which was a pleasant surprise since she can be quite picky about who she likes. Katelyn and Daniel are genuinely nice, responsible, and caring individuals. I will definitely be reaching out to Katelyn and Daniel again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
