About: Hi there! I have about 3 years of experience caring for pets for family. I regularly cared for my sister’s dog Titan while living in Virginia. I enjoy taking dogs on walks, runs, and trips to the park while always keeping their safety and comfort in mind. I am responsible with feeding schedules, cleaning up after them, giving them attention, and making sure they eat properly. I treat every pet with patience and care and will keep owners updated while their pet is with me. I’m currently waiting for my new job to begin, so I have a very flexible schedule and can accommodate a wide range of dates and times. I’m happy to follow your dog’s normal routine, including walks, feeding times, playtime, bathroom breaks, and plenty of companionship. I’ll make sure your pet feels comfortable, cared for, and never overlooked while they’re with me. I don’t have any pets of my own, so your dog can enjoy a calm and peaceful environment without the stress of unfamiliar animals. My apartment is clean, quiet, and comfortable, and I’ll give your pet plenty of attention, affection, and supervision. I understand that every pet has different needs, so I’ll carefully follow your instructions and do everything I can to help them feel safe, relaxed, and at home.
About: I cared for my family dog for years, and other dogs in my home neighborhood until I moved out. I get so much joy from being around animals. I have never come across a stray cat that didn't want to be my friend. I don't currently live with any pets which is why I am eager to petsit so I can spend time with some wonderful dogs and cats. I have a lot of free time during the week for extended stays or multiple drop-ins in a day. I love animals and I will give your pet all of my attention, and be sure they are loved and cared for. I am a respectful guest and I will always leave your home cleaner than I found it

“Natalie did a great job looking after Harry on short notice! Despite booking less than a week in advance, Natalie was even able to squeeze in a meet and greet the weekend before. Thank you!”

“Abriana took the best care of our Samson. He can be very shy especially when away from us and we could tell through all the pictures of videos we got throughout the stay that he was comfortable with her. Abriana took great care of Samson and kept us updated all weekend.”

“Christy is always so wonderful with Ginger. I am always nervous leaving him alone, but knowing she will be visiting is very comforting. I know he will be taken care of.”

“Tiffany was amazing! I was going away on an international trip, and had plans change where I was going longer than originally expected. I needed to find someone to drop in on Rocco on short notice, and Tiffany was able to set up a meet & greet very quickly! She was also very sweet & kind, and took great photos of Rocco while I was away :) I would definitely book again!”

“Maria was great with our dogs! She and her husband came for a meet and greet and they all got along immediately. We definitely will use Maria again. She was also very responsive and kept me updated with photos of Superfly and Paco.”
“Ryan was an excellent find! Pleasant, dependable, and responsive, he did a fantastic job of taking care of my three cats while we were away for almost two weeks. Not only did he take care of my boys, he also brought in all the packages that we received while we were gone. He will be my first call when I need a pet care from here on out. Thanks Ryan!!”

“Jackie was helpful yet again and amazing with our doggos for a drop in. Prompt, attentive, and helpful and relayed information well. Much appreciated!”

“Cheyenne was great and Leo seemed very happy! She left good notes and pictures and was a great communicator, I was thankful she was willing to come out of her way to meet Leo the week befofe. Will definitely use her again! :)”

“Danielle is awesome. We have four dogs, three of them on the bigger side, and one has to wear a belly band due to marking in the house. She’s awesome about getting it off him before going out to potty and putting a new one on. It’s an odd task, but she handles it with ease! She does weekly visits for us and is great with the pups. Trustworthy and thorough - we highly recommend her!”

“I scheduled Anna for drop-in visits to watch over my cat while I was out of town for a few days. Anna was wonderful! She kept me updated daily with messages and photos. She provided scheduled meals to my cat and spent time playing with him, all will being respectful of my property. If you’re looking for pet care while away, I recommend connecting with Anna!”

“Borb was my savior this week when I had a last minute work trip for. He was helpful whenever I was caught up with onboarding and made sure that Gizmo was safe at all times. Above and beyond!”

“Alex is a pro. We have one dog that can be aggressive towards new people and strangers. But he took it all in stride. Alex handled our dogs with ease and care on Christmas day. Highly recommend him as a dog wallker and sitter.”

“Ally was a wonderful sitter! Very friendly, communicative, and took great care of my cats. I loved seeing the photos from her drop in visits! Thank you, Ally!”

“Disha was a great sitter for our two cats while we were out of town! Both of our girls warmed up to her quickly, even our shy cat. Would trust her with the care of our girls again next time we travel.”

About: Lucky me to have grown up with my ever-attentive dog, Shirley, an Australian Shepherd mix from the time I was born until I was 14. Then, Cindy - part Chow - came into our family. She was fiery and at grew to become very territorial and protective of our family. I learned how to work with a pup who was loving and sweet to us but dangerous to others. As a young adult, I adopted my perfect grey and white feline with a perfectly pink nose, Merzbow. She was my best friend for 15 years and moved with me from PA to NYC to LA. When I lost her, I was devastated. She was the joy of my life. I am a free-lance artist and performer, so I have lots of flexibility on a weekly basis! I go out of town for work from time to time, but I am usually in Pittsburgh and able to visit pets during all hours. I live in a 3 story home with access to a back patio on the first floor. Pets can either stay on the first floor, where I am usually working in my music studio and have a bed where I can sleep near them, or they can enjoy the rest of the house if they're able to climb stairs or are easily carried! I live in the city and near a park and can take dogs for walks whenever they need one.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Pittsburgh
Lauren is amazing. She went above and beyond making sure my kitties were all well taking care of, getting Jinxy his meds, anticipating needs without me having to say anything. Lauren was more than willing to help with other things like taking out trash. She even brought my mail up. This is the best Rover experience I have had and will definitely book with her in the future.

After meeting Nicole I had no concerns about her caring for Nigel while I was gone for the weekend, and I was correct! She is incredibly thorough and caring, and Nigel felt comfortable with her in little time which is an accomplishment for cats as we all know. I’ll be booking her again!

Tiffany was wonderful for the check ins. She was easy to communicate and responsive! We sincerely appreciate the photo updates which showed our cats are okay and even enjoyed some good head scratches from her! We would be happy to book her again when we go on future trips!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pittsburgh. On Rover:
- 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 92% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
