About: I had my own dog walking business in my neighborhood of Lawrenceville in Pittsburgh where I live, where I would walk the dogs around my neighborhood. In high school I volunteered at doggie daycare taking care of the dogs, cleaning up after the dogs, playing with the dogs, and cleaning anything that needed to be clean. Plus I have always had a dog in my life growing up so I am comfortable around them. I am reliable, responsible, dependable, always on time, hardworking and flexible. I love being around dogs and I will treat your pet like they are my own. I am also a fellow dog mom to a white Lab/Mix named Luna I currently work an early morning shift at a doggie daycare from 6-2 so I'm done by 2pm or sooner during the week and I'm off on weekends too I can easily crate your dog if needed or let them out in the backyard as well whatever they need and I can take them to their favorite places too
“Tiffany is awesome! She did drop-in visits with our cat Marshall while my husband and I went out of town for a trip. He warmed up to her right away. She is very communicative and super quick to respond. Would definitely recommend her to others and will be re-booking in the future!”

About: I had a yellow lab for 13 years from a puppy, and am experienced with all aspects of dog care from the basics to administering oral medications, enrichment, and training. On top of that I have year of experience dog sitting for family, friends, and neighbors. I have plenty of free time all day and flexibility throughout the week for help on short notice, and regular availability for week-to-week pet care. I prefer to be introduced to your pet with you or another trusted individual before I am left with them. I am patient in gaining familiarity and trust with pets, and aim to keep your pet happy, comfortable, and safe.
“Cam took such excellent care of my kitties! Great, thorough, timely, and hilarious updates. My cats were so chill when I got home, I seriously think they were like, wait a minute, where’s Cam, what are you doing here?? Gilly has a new best friend, and even Petunia, my cat with a shall we say ‘difficult’ personality, was warming up. I’d hire Cam again in a heartbeat!”

“Adam was a fantastic drop-in visit cat sitter while we were out of town for a 2-week trip. He took great care of our cat and kept in touch with us every visit via the Rover app with photos and updates. 100% recommend and 100% would trust Adam to take care of our cat again—thanks, Adam!”

“Katie is a true gem, I always rebook her to look after my cats. We had a situation where they needed special care, and Katie handled it perfectly. She is reliable and I can count on detailed reports and communication. Thank you Katie for helping us. The boys really love you. ♥️”

“AnaBeth was incredibly responsive and thorough. She took great care of my 2 cats but also went above and beyond when other unexpected issues arose. I would not hesitate to hire AnaBeth again. Thanks so much!”

“Regan has been walking my dog for months! I love having her. During that time my puppy was just 12 weeks old when we started and she’s been so flexible along the way as my puppy learned & grew. Thanks Regan!! 10/10 would recommend!”

About: I've been a pet owner since I was two years old and played a major role in taking care of my family dogs and guinea pig! I've had my own dog, a cattle dog mix, for the last 5+ years. I've educated myself on training techniques and skills for stimulating dogs physically and mentally in order to keep up with her! I have experience looking after friends' and families' cats and dogs, and I'm a self-appointed playground monitor at my local dog park. I'm excited to meet your furry family member and give them some love and care while you're away. I'm currently applying for engineering / academic jobs after earning my degree, so other than caring for my own dog, my days are wide open. I have a fenced-in backyard and a playful dog who is great with dogs of all sizes. I've got food puzzles, Bully Make and Benebone chew toys, and a ChuckIt tennis ball thrower. My dog is crate-trained so I'm happy to follow your lead on your pets' needs.
About: I have grown up with a variety of dog breeds (husky mix, hound mix, lab, blue heeler/lab) and am comfortable with a variety of dog sizes and personalities. My partner and I fostered a very social and sweet fluffy guy, so you may have seen us running with him to the dog park now and then. I am attentive and love getting to know each dog’s individual personality. My daily routine varies because I am in med school. However, I often have free blocks of time in the middle of the day and in the mornings and evenings. I am also often in town on the weekends. We go on regular walks (or runs if the dog is used to that) throughout the day, play, snuggle, and hang out. I am very attentive to cleanliness and locking up after visits.
“Jackie was great with our pups! We’ve recently had a mobility issue with our one dog but she was understanding and was able to provide her medicine without any issues. She took our other pup out for a little walk each time in addition to taking them both outside for breaks. I could easily see how much fun our pups had with Jackie in the photos that she sent over!”

“Danielle was wonderful with Ellie our golden retriever and with communicating with us while we were away! I would definitely recommend her in the future! Great service :)”

“Aniela was great! She did a drop in visit for us and took good care of our 14 week old puppy. She sent lots of pictures and communicated throughout the visit. We will definitely book with her again!”

About: Hi I’m Caroline! I am recent grad of Pitt’s Counseling Program and a Cat Mom of 2! I have many years of experience in caring for animals of my own and visiting other people’s homes for pet sitting. I am available for check in visits and walks and I am able to feed and give medication, and spend a little extra time playing with your furry friend. I also love taking care of cats and will clean up after both cats and dogs. I work with all sizes and breeds of dogs and cats. I will also check your mail and packages and turn your lights on and off, water plants, etc. if you are out of town. I can’t wait to work with your pets! I am currently transitioning from school to work and have pretty open availability throughout the week, especially early mornings and later afternoon/evenings. Saturdays remain pretty open as well, while Sundays are often booked for me. I am experienced working with animals of a variety of temperaments across settings. As a Mom of two shy cats, I am very patient, while always ready to snuggle and play!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Lawrenceville
Maya had the patience of a saint with our cat, Linus. It’s the first time he had ever been left alone and he was not a happy camper. Maya tried everything she could to get him to relax and be happy. In the end, he settled down a bit, and was healthy and happy when we got home to him. Which is the most important thing. We appreciated the photos and information about what was going on back home!

Samantha is truly the greatest. she is a cat whisperer and immediately had a great rapport with my girls. I never worry when she’s the one checking on them and I know I’ll always get good updates and plenty of pictures and videos of my cats. I will always book her if she’s available. Thank you so much again for everything!

Jessica is truly amazing. Our plans fell through with someone else helping watch our cat and she was available within a two-days notice. She immediately bonded with our cat during the meet-and-greet. Shes reliable, communicates very well, and is a pleasure to work with. We are very much looking forward to being repeat customers of hers!

Thanks again to Jennifer for taking amazing care of our kitty, Pokey! As usual Jennifer was thorough, sent many sweet pictures, and described her time with Pokey lovingly. Pokey just had a dental cleaning before our trip and Jennifer specifically followed all previous and new instructions to a tee. We love it when she cares for Pokey. 💙🤍🐈⬛💚❤️

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lawrenceville. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
