“Shannon has been walking my pup for two weeks now and has been wonderful! The weather has been freezing and snowy and yet she has always showed up on time and has established a great relationship with my dog. She does a super job knowing when it’s too cold (or my dog just isn’t in the mood) to go for an extended walk and will just play with him inside a bit longer instead. Highly recommended!”

“Adam walks my rambunctious golden doodle during the week and we’re so fortunate to have his help! He’s organized, professional, and takes great care of Honey. We know she’s in good hands and he makes sure she gets all the exercise she needs. Highly recommend his services!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since childhood, whether my own, or for friends, family, and neighbors. I will treat your sweet dog or cat as my own. I can go on long or short walks, can administer medications, can play or provide sweet loving attention to your fur babies. I work part-time, so I’m happy to be at your home or taking care of your dog/cat before 9 and after 5 pm on Tuesdays-Thursdays. The other days of the week/weekend I can be there as often as you’d like, for as long as you’d like. I can walk dogs for as long as you need, we can work out a schedule that works best. My yard is partially fenced, so I fully intend to watch your dog during outdoor time if you are not one to use a lead. My house is 3-stories so perfect for any size animal. At the client’s home, I will follow your instructions as close as possible, and can provide a safe and loving presence. The only caveat is my house has 2 cats, so we must be sure the the visiting dog is safe with cats.
“Super sweet person! Our golden, Ellie, seemed to really enjoy spending time with Jackie on her walk and she was able to use her commands and had control of her but was still very friendly and caring. I would definitely recommend Jackie.”

“Ryan is so attentive and kind and he’s my dog’s chosen friend and that quite rare for a dachshund! It’s remarkable to see my dog so excited to see anyone, really! Thank you Ryan for taking care of us this whole week!”

“Nellie has been an amazing weekly dog walker for my dog, Rocky. She’s incredibly reliable and always communicates ahead of time if she needs to adjust his walk schedule, which I really appreciate. I always feel confident that Rocky is in great hands with her. I highly recommend Nellie to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring walker!”

About: I've cared for various kinds of pets over my whole life and at one point was able to become an AKC trained dog trainer! I've since changed jobs to a patient sitter at a nearby hospital and miss the new animals being in my life. I'd love to get a chance to meet your pets and help care for them! I work 3 inconsistent days from either 630am-pm or 630pm-am throughout the week but can make changes as needed to work up to 3 days a week for a client outside of that! I feel that all pets have a wide range of personalities and needs but the important thing is to work with them to achieve their physical and emotional needs! I have 2 cats with vastly different attitudes and I make sure to tailor my care for them in specific ways like being a safety person for my cat while she's eating or training my partners cat to ask for attention and treats more politely. When it comes to dogs I have a training in positive reinforcement and dog behaviors and will try to engage with breed specific enrichment on top of whatever schedule the pet parents have for their dog.
“Linnea did an excellent job checking in on our young pup while away on vacation. She kept us updated with lots of photos, and even began some training. We will definitely use her again on future bookings and would strongly recommend her to other folks!”

About: I have had three dogs in my life and now miss hanging out with them since they have passed away. I am currently a cat dad to two cats, Phoebe and Gomez. I like to walk and get outside and dogs just make it better! I work from home so I can be available during working hours if needed and I'm a new human dad and need to stay active for him. I know the neighborhood very well and would love to share that with your pups! I currently work from home in Pittsburgh and can be available to most times, except the early mornings or late nights since i also have a human baby. I have walked all sizes of dogs and can make sure they don't get into trouble and will have lots of safe fun! I know my way around other pet interactions and where to avoid in the city.
“Heather does an amazing job with my 2 pups!! She makes sure they have on their coats or harnesses depending on the cold temps. My pups enjoy the long walks with her and being able to sniff at their own pace!! The pups get so excited to see her! Definitely would recommend Heather to take care of your pets!!”

“He did an excellent job! Dogs were very content when I returned. Obvious in their actions that they were well cared for. Would like to book him for regular mid day walks,”

“Hannah was wonderful with my pup, Mia. She was very communicative, always sending lots of pictures and updates. It’s evident she really loves and cares about your pets.”

“Couldn’t be happier with the experience of having Hannah walk our dog. Hannah was a great communicator throughout and showed an intent to get to know our dog. She took pictures and sent updates along the way, which I appreciated. I felt peace of mind knowing our dog was in good hands.”

Dogs and cats have always been a part of my life and I am very familiar with different breeds and temperaments. I have trained puppies and provided extensive care for elderly dogs. “J.M. was great with my dog Grits. They came on time, gave a thorough report, and sent some cute proof of life pictures that brightened up my day at work. Thank you J.M.!”

About: I've been volunteering at my local animal shelter for almost 2 years now. I hang out with pets whenever I get the chance, so I've walked a friend's dog here and there. While I've fed medication meatballs to dogs, have observed vet techs handling many dogs for medication and triage, and know some canine body language basics, I'm still looking to expand my hands-on dog care experience, as I'm much more experienced with cats at the moment. I'd love to care for your well-behaved dog for an affordable price as part of my learning experience! I love hanging out with friendly dogs of all sizes but for walking I am only comfortable taking medium to small dogs to start. My schedule is pretty flexible so I can work with early mornings or last minute bookings as long as we iron out the details before you leave. I prefer to meet your pet before we book to make sure that we can make sure we're a good fit. As a shelter volunteer I follow Fear Free Shelter principles and focus on minimizing stress and fear while maximizing enrichment. I will also protect your babies with good hygiene, including hand washing and a change of clothes if I work with another household beforehand. While I've only administered medication by mixing with treats, I can work with detailed instructions if you've had success with other techniques before. I am not squeamish about chores and I do well with checklists, so let me know everything that your pet needs!
“When we picked up our newest addition to our family, we started looking for someone to help take care of our dog with the same love we do. Cecilia has been great! She provides thorough updates and photos each time she walks our dog. She is kind, and we know our puppy gets wonderful attention when she is with him. We lucked out and are grateful for having found her to help with our puppy walking needs!”

Lawrenceville dog parents share their Rover experiences
Heather does an amazing job with my 2 pups!! She makes sure they have on their coats or harnesses depending on the cold temps. My pups enjoy the long walks with her and being able to sniff at their own pace!! The pups get so excited to see her! Definitely would recommend Heather to take care of your pets!!

We have two old, mean animals (a dog and a cat) that usually don't get along with anyone aside from us and were worried that nobody would be willing to take care of them, but Sabrina was great with both of them! She was on time, gave details of her visits, and sent pictures every time. We would definitely recommend her.

Caroline and Will have been wonderful with Enzo. He’s almost 9, and this is the first time I’ve ever hired a dog walker, so I was nervous, but they’ve made the transition so easy. They’re patient, kind, and truly care about him, and he’s really warming up to them. I’m so grateful for the way they’ve taken him in and treated him like part of their little pack. Highly recommend! 🐾❤️
