We had a great experience and highly recommend Adrienne as a sitter. She took the time to do a meet-and-greet beforehand, which helped us know this would be a good fit for everyone. During Norman’s stay, she was attentive, communicative, and sent daily updates with pictures and videos, giving us peace of mind while we were away. We also appreciated that the dogs had access to a nearby fenced-in dog park for exercise and play, as well as a separated areas in the house to relax when they needed a break from the excitement. It was clear that she genuinely cares about the dogs in her care, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again.

Christy is absolutely wonderful! She goes above and beyond to make sure my senior dog is comfortable and well cared for. She’s very attentive to his bathroom needs, which is so important at his age, and her yard gives him a great space to safely sniff and explore. Her home is set up perfectly for dogs, with plenty of cozy beds and spots for him to relax. The fact that she’s always nearby really helps keep his anxiety low, which gives me so much peace of mind. She also has a sweet little dog who gets along great with others. it’s been such a bonus for my dog to have a companion during the day. Christy is also very flexible with drop-off and pick-up times, which makes scheduling so much easier. I especially appreciate the regular photo updates she sends. they always brighten my day and reassure me that my dog is happy and in great hands. I truly appreciate everything she does and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter!

Most importantly, she kept in touch with us throughout the day, kept Wilson active and playful, and gave us a very detailed report at the end of the day. About: Hi! I’m a lifelong pet lover with years of experience caring for both dogs and cats. I currently have a sweet three-year-old chihuahua mix, and I truly enjoy meeting and bonding with new dogs. I work from home full-time, so your dog will get plenty of attention, walks, and play throughout the day. I live on Pittsburgh’s Northside with a small, secure fenced-in yard, perfect for safe outdoor fun. Since I work from home full time, I can give your pet plenty of attention, walks, and playtime throughout the day. I have a small fenced-in yard in Pittsburgh’s Northside for safe outdoor breaks, plus I love getting out for longer walks with my dog, at least once a day. Pet care is part of my daily routine, and I’m happy to adjust my schedule to meet your pet’s needs. When pets stay with me, they’re treated like family. They’re welcome to relax on the furniture, nap on the couch, or sunbathe on the deck. I stick to their regular routine for feeding, walks, and playtime to help them feel comfortable and at home. I also have a baby gate to limit access to stairs for small dogs when needed. Since I work from home, I’m always nearby to give them the attention, care, and love they deserve.

About: I brought our two cats, Chili and Lok-Lok, all the way from China, but I grew up with dogs in my family and love both. I’ve taken care of my family’s and friends’ dogs and I heard about this app so I thought it might be fun to give it a try. Whenever I get called on to dog-sit for my friend here in Pittsburgh I like to go to the dog parks near the South Side river or jog along with them, rain or snow, and socialize with other dogs. Looking forward to meeting yours! I’m a PhD student at the University of Pittsburgh so summer and winter breaks are relatively free, and usually I’m only “working” 2-3 half days per week. I have to do a lot of reading and thinking so getting out of the house is a good way to take a break and process. I have a fenced yard where I do some gardening and let our cats out every day to chase bugs and birds. My friends have stayed over with their dogs and I just move the cats to the second floor and keep them there while the dogs take the first and the yard.

About: Hi! I’m Elizabeth, a lifelong animal lover based in the Pittsburgh area. I understand that pets are family, and when you leave them with someone else you want the same care, attention, and safety you’d give them yourself. I spent 13 years with my sweet mini poodle mix Theo, who taught me how much love and personality can live in one small dog. Because of him, I’m especially attentive to each pet’s unique quirks, routines, and comfort needs. Whether your dog loves long walks, couch snuggles, or a consistent routine, I’m happy to adapt to what makes them feel most at home. I’m dependable, communicative, and I’ll send regular updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. Your pet will be treated with the same patience, kindness, and care I would want for my own. I currently work from home and have complete flexibility with my job to ensure your pet gets as much attention, walks, and love throughout the day as they need. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I follow your pet’s routine closely, provide a calm environment, and ensure they are always supervised, secure, and well cared for. I will always send you updates and let you know what we are up to on our days together.

It was Riley's first road trip to Philly (from GA). While his humans cheered on the Temple football team, Brittani provided excellent care and showed Riley around! She even took professional-grade photos of his walks! And, Riley enjoyed playing with her fur baby. If Riley's in town for any other home Temple football game, he'll be asking to go to Brittani's!!

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life, and they have always been cherished and treated as members of my family. Also have experience looking after my neighbors’ pets while they have been away. I just love dogs so much so it’s not even a chore for me! I work from home 5 days a week, so my schedule is very flexible for afternoon walks or drop ins! Weekend afternoons are also usually good. At my parents home we would always have a fenced in yard and usually keep the dogs on a leash of some sort outside (we have a long one for the yard so they can still run around) For younger dogs we always crate when we’re not around until they are trained!

My pup, Clay, was so well cared for during my trip to Pittsburgh. His tail was practically wagging off at each and every drop off. The updates and photos gave me peace of mind and allowed me to enjoy my adventuring around town without any concern for his happiness and safety. She is so good to Goose and it’s so evident how much she cares for him and all of the dogs she watches. It’s so nice to know he is getting so much love while I’m away from him.

Justin was great as he was able to accommodate a late evening daycare visit for our dog Fran while we went for an event in town. He was incredibly accommodating and flexible with the timing and was very eager to help. His corgi Watson is adorable and a very social dog. Our dog was anxious but Justin was able to keep her company and sooth her while we were gone for a few hours, she eventually relaxed and laid her head on his lap! I would highly recommend Justin to take care of your dog as he loves them and provides great care for them.

What can I say with so few words. We started working with Mary a couple of years ago and we couldn’t be happier with her services. Our dog has pretty severe separation anxiety, and he requires lots of special attention and a very specific routine when he’s left alone in the home. Mary right away was very receptive to our feedback and right away we felt as though she had a genuine love for our dog and their bond only seems to get stronger. We never need to ask for updates as she’s always checking in and sending photos. What more can you ask for as a pet owner? Furthermore, we feel the experience Mary provides our dog is often greater than what we can provide at home given we have just a tiny yard in the city. She has an expensive property and takes the dogs on several outdoor adventures through throughout the day when she can. I just know we can’t say enough good things about Mary. She’s a very kind and down to earth person and we can’t thank her enough for all she does for Siggi boy. Thanks Mary!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Lawrenceville on Rover is $36.63 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 692 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Lawrenceville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Lawrenceville commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 692 sitters in Lawrenceville, 83% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
