Availability
I’m a PhD student at the University of Pittsburgh so summer and winter breaks are relatively free, and usually I’m only “working” 2-3 half days per week. I have to do a lot of reading and thinking so getting out of the house is a good way to take a break and process.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced yard where I do some gardening and let our cats out every day to chase bugs and birds. My friends have stayed over with their dogs and I just move the cats to the second floor and keep them there while the dogs take the first and the yard.

Information Elad S. would like to know about your pet
It would be helpful to know if your dog is social and friendly with strangers or not. I don’t expect them to get along with our cats and I have a way to keep them separated if your dog stays over but if they’ve been friendly with cats before, it’s nice to know and maybe we can try with supervision and caution.
A typical day
There are a few good dog parks in the south side near the river and I like to go jogging so if the dogs are high energy that’s a good excuse to get some exercise. I also like the viewpoints from the parks on the slopes. Since I’m often at the university, I’m pretty familiar with the area so if the dog is very social it can be fun to take them to the lawns around the cathedral and the park across from there. I’m still new to Pittsburgh and are nature lovers so I’m looking to explore new parks.

Pet care experience
I brought our two cats, Chili and Lok-Lok, all the way from China, but I grew up with dogs in my family and love both. I’ve taken care of my family’s and friends’ dogs and I heard about this app so I thought it might be fun to give it a try. Whenever I get called on to dog-sit for my friend here in Pittsburgh I like to go to the dog parks near the South Side river or jog along with them, rain or snow, and socialize with other dogs. Looking forward to meeting yours!

Reviews

Elad took great care of our cat geno while we were away and was so communicative!

My pup, Clay, was so well cared for during my trip to Pittsburgh. His tail was practically wagging off at each and every drop off. The updates and photos gave me peace of mind and allowed me to enjoy my adventuring around town without any concern for his happiness and safety. Elad was flexible with drop offs and responded quickly to messages sent. I couldn’t be happier with the attention Elad gave my pup. Thank you so much!

Arty had a great time in their care !

I could not have wished for a better caregiver! It is evident in the photos that my pets loved interacting with Elad and especially trips to the dog off-lease area. Just a week before my trip, Mr. Darcy was diagnosed with diabetes, and I am grateful that Elad accepted the challenge. Thank you sooo much for not only making all the pets comfortable, but also keeping them healthy. Exceptional service, I highly recommend Elad!
