About: Since I was in elementary school, neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to look in on their animals while they worked long hours or went out of town. I am a nurse working in the Pittsburgh area and have a flexible schedule that I would love to fill up with more furry friends. I have experience caring for birds and rodents as well! I'm new to the area, but prior to moving, I was regularly asked to pet/house sit via word of mouth recommendations and repeat clients. We adopted him at 12 weeks old from an accidental litter, and he's added such joy and fulfillment to our lives. He might be my biggest pet resume boost. He is a wicked smart, high energy dude who requires a lot of structure and attention to thrive, and I wouldn't have it any other way. He gets daily training, puzzles, walks, crate time, scratches, and snuggles. As a full-time grad student with extra time on my hands, I would love to put that same amount of energy towards your furry friends - and if Ekko gets to benefit too by making a new friend, well that'd be the cherry on top! I'm a full-time grad student with a few evening classes a week. Outside of that, my schedule is flexible, and I'm available to care for your pet any time. I want your pet to feel calm and confident no matter where I'm caring for them. I'm always respectful of your pets routines and personality. Some pets are nonstop goofballs and some are shy and sleepy, so I give them as much space or play time as they'd like! With every service I provide, I would never make assumptions about your pet without your approval, from foods they can eat to places they can go. Trusting someone else with your pet is a big deal, and it can be nerve-wracking for your pet too! To ensure I'm a good fit for you and your pet, and in order to provide the best care possible, I will request a Meet and Greet before beginning service. About: I've had more than half a dozen cats and dogs each throughout my life. I've helped feed them, give them water, walk them, and try to give them the happiest lives possible. These pets have been my best friends, even more so than most people that I've met. I absolutely love animals and always make them my priority! I'm a student at the University of Pittsburgh looking for a part time job when I am home on break, and weekend and afternoon work when I am at school. I love pets and tend to have a lot of free time at home and on weekends! My pets are technically my parents', but I often walk them because I want to get them outside and it's fun for me. I also feed them and make sure they have water in their dishes. I usually take my dogs as far as they want to go, whether it's for just a block, or for a few miles.
