“Our elderly and special needs Pomeranian felt right at home with Jill and her family. We could see his happiness each day in the wonderful pictures she sent us. A home filled with love for animals. We will absolutely book with Jill again ❤️”

“I highly recommend Sara for boarding. She gave me daily updates of how my pup was doing. She really payed attention to details and it is very apparent she gave my pup a bunch of love and care. She is a true pro.”

About: My name is Sandra and I’m 28 years old. I have two furry family members; Bonbon, an 11 year old poodle mix, and Wally, a 3 year old collie mix. I currently work as a Dog Groomer, but have about 6 years of experience in the Dog Daycare industry. My past jobs have given me the experience needed to handle and care for dogs of all sizes. They’ve also taught me how to greet an unfamiliar dog, how to do feedings for various dogs, administer medication, and how to detect signs of aggression and fear. With my personal experience and professional experience, I am well equipped to handle dogs in all stages of life. With that being said, It takes patience, hard work, and honesty to care for a dog. My offered services to clients are met with the highest of standards. I believe in giving 100% in all work that I do, meaning you’ll never receive less than excellent care for your best friend. It’s difficult to leave your dog in the hands of a stranger, however, I always treat every dog the way I would want my dog to be treated: like family. If you have any questions regarding my services, please feel free to reach out! I am fully committed to Rover, meaning I have full availability, and can give your furry family members my full attention 7 days a week. I care for your pets the way I would care for my own. Every furry family member is different, and you know them best. I can guarantee my care will reflect the dog’s lifestyle. Whether you crate at home, or your pet snuggles in bed with yourself; I aim to keep the routine as close as possible to that at home.
“Erin was fantastic with my dog, Max, this weekend! She provided daily updates, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that Max was happy, comfortable, and well cared for throughout his stay. Erin was reliable, communicative, and treated Max like her own. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog sitter, and I would definitely book with her again.”

“Pat went above and beyond to care for our senior pup who is prone to some anxiety. She took care of our dog as if she were her own. She provided lots of updates and pictures and we knew that our girl was in very good hands. Pat has a nice, big and fenced-in backyard which we know our dog enjoyed exploring. Communication was quick and easy from the meet and greet through the entire visit. We’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter!”

“As usual a great service! they helps us a lot. This time we use their boarding service because my wife was going to give birth. They were as always extremely kind and understanding with Lucas and Max's delivery and pick up times.”

“I want to start by saying I’m no stranger to dog sitters. I’ve been in need for someone to watch my dog many of times and in the past, my sitters have all been pretty good. However, when it comes to Pallvi, I have to say she was absolutely exceptional!! Plenty of checkins thought the sitting, very understanding on pick up and drop off timing, and super competitive pricing! Easily one of the best sitters I’ve gone with this far and I’ll admit I don’t plan on using any other sitter besides her in the future. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!!! 10/10!!! 😊❤️💯”
“My pup seemed to be having a lot of fun in the updates provided very often. Selena was very accommodating and I felt safe leaving my dog with her because I know she’d care for her like her own.”

“Vanessa was awesome, Winston was clearly well loved and supported during his overnight stay. It’s always a relief when I can drop him off & not worry about anything 😊 will definitely be booking again!”

“Wonderful stay! We highly recommend Pennie!! She took great care of our dog Gabby and the whole experience was easy. She was very flexible and the communication was great. Pennie... Thank you so much for making everything go so smoothly. We really appreciate all that you did to make this such a great experience for Gabby!”

“Ana was very committed in taking care of our pitbull Rocky. We did a meet and greet before he started his boarding at her house. He adjusted and felt like he was at home very quickly. Ana sent updates with pictures every day, she was very friendly and helpful since this was our first time using Rover and we’ll be using again her service. We will recommend her to family and friends, she’s someone we can trust and know that Rocky will be in good hands. Rocky enjoyed his time with Macho, Ana’s dog.”

“Beyonka did a great job. She always sent us pictures and Denver looked very happy when I picked him up, he was clean and smelling very good and it looked like he had a blast with her dogs. I absolutely recommend her.”

“Soukaina took amazing care of our Mochi. She sent us videos and photos every day during the 10 days he was in her care. I could tell just from the photos that he was well-loved during his stay with her and her family. I think he may have gained weight as well - which is very special because he typically does not eat well when we are away. She even took the time to give him a bath so he was fresh for his return back to us. Thank you Soukaina!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Oswego
Marko and his beautiful family took care of Cabo very well. He is very prompt in communicating, keeps updated regularly, also sent pictures whenever we asked. Cabo was so happy there. He was pretty clean. Overall wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend other dog owners to take his services for dog siting / boarding if required.

We'd never boarded our dog, Danny Boy, so we were very apprehensive about using Rover (he usually stays with family). But Katie made DB feel very comfortable and kept us regularly updated. He had a great time and bonded with Katie's pups and the other dogs she was boarding. Thank you to Katie for taking such great care of Danny Boy! We will certainly be using her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
