“This was my first time boarding so I didn't know how my dog would react. Jessica did an awesome job welcoming Diamond in and making everything fun. I also got daily video of Diamond interacting with the other dogs. Thank you so much. I appreciate you”

“Morgan always takes such good care of Navy! She always provides lots of pictures and timely updates that make us feel comfortable leaving her with Morgan and Ross anytime! I know Navy always has such a good time at their house, she doesn’t want to come home! 😉”

“Renae was great! Our dog is a 6 month old puppy. We got him weeks before we hired Renae and were very worried about how he was going to do and if he was going to be okay. Renae went above and beyond the call. She took him to parks and the beach and kept him busy the whole weekend. She sent daily updates (sometimes even twice daily) that included pictures of him enjoying himself. We are first time dog owners and she did a great job of relieving the stress of leaving a dog so young with a stranger. She even gave us a few pointers that she's picked up on in her time with dogs. She's a true professional and I'm very impressed with the quality of care we received.”

“Mera did a great job at communicating with us. She sent us pictures and updates about our dogs. It was helpful knowing that she was taking such good care of our babies.”
“Our dog had a wonderful time at Loriana’s place. She sent us pictures everyday. Has a very secure backyard. Her retriever is very friendly and was a good companion to our Luna.”

“Where do I start.. Beyonka and her daughter where absolutely amazing with our boy Benjamin ❤️ Sending daily pictures for us to view while away really eased our minds knowing our dog was well taken care of. He exercised daily and even went for a car ride around town. Exceded my expectations and would highly recommend!! A million thanks, will be in touch for next time!”

“Kendall is the only sitter I have used for our puppy and would not trust anyone else. She provides updates, pictures, and even advice for how to keep our little stinker from chewing up more of our shoes. She is so kind and caring. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone, especially if you have anxiety about leaving your fur baby like I used to.”
“Wow! We are so happy to have someone who cares for our dogs the way we do. We got pictures and reports throughout the week and our dogs looked relaxed and happy. We will definitely book with Jackie again.”

“Our dog Marty had a wonderful stay at Maria’s house. He was all smiles when we picked him up. I would recommend Maria to anyone who likes their dog to have fun interacting with other dogs.”

“Beatrice did an amazing job caring for our 9 year old pit mix dog. She took pictures, updated us and was always quick to respond. We felt very comfortable leaving our dog with her while we went away for a weekend. We would use Beatrice again in the future!”

About: My name is Sandra and I’m 28 years old. I have two furry family members; Bonbon, an 11 year old poodle mix, and Wally, a 3 year old collie mix. I currently work as a Dog Groomer, but have about 6 years of experience in the Dog Daycare industry. My past jobs have given me the experience needed to handle and care for dogs of all sizes. They’ve also taught me how to greet an unfamiliar dog, how to do feedings for various dogs, administer medication, and how to detect signs of aggression and fear. With my personal experience and professional experience, I am well equipped to handle dogs in all stages of life. With that being said, It takes patience, hard work, and honesty to care for a dog. My offered services to clients are met with the highest of standards. I believe in giving 100% in all work that I do, meaning you’ll never receive less than excellent care for your best friend. It’s difficult to leave your dog in the hands of a stranger, however, I always treat every dog the way I would want my dog to be treated: like family. If you have any questions regarding my services, please feel free to reach out! I am fully committed to Rover, meaning I have full availability, and can give your furry family members my full attention 7 days a week. I care for your pets the way I would care for my own. Every furry family member is different, and you know them best. I can guarantee my care will reflect the dog’s lifestyle. Whether you crate at home, or your pet snuggles in bed with yourself; I aim to keep the routine as close as possible to that at home.
“Linda and George took amazing care of my pup. They sent update photos everyday and even took my pup out and about, which he loved every second of it! I would 1000% recommend them for any type of dog sitting and I know my pup can’t wait for the next trip back!”

“Peggy was great! Our dog Groot had a wonderful time. She responded quickly to our request and thankfully, was okay booking last minute. She kept us updated regularly on how he was doing to keep our minds as ease. We will definitely be using her services again!”

“Absolutely wonderful. I honestly cannot say enough nice things about Peg. Our dog, who will not eat if she’s nervous or upset, ate just fine with Peg. Her dog Mila is chill and adapts well to a dog guest. She sent us texts and photos to update us. She’s a lovely person who is also great with dogs. You can’t ask for more in a dog sitter.”

“Kimberly and her family went above and beyond for us and our pups. They showered our pups with love, were super accommodating, and communicated well throughout the stay. We would recommend to anyone and everyone. When you book with her, you are booking a family.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Yorkville
Miriam "Mimi" & Terrell and Bella were a God send! True Good & Lovely Soles! My only wish is if there was a way to leave more than five-stars, because I definitately would. After a HUGE misunderstanding with an "unconfirmed" sitter, where my babies were left alone for some time, non-communication AND potential mingling with an unknown number of larger breeds dogs (including a St. Bernard), Miriam & Terrell not only alerted me to the grave mix-up, but offered to pick up my babies and bring them to their home (the correct confirmed booking sitters), as I was already away on my trip. After my babies were dropped off at Mimi & Terrell's, they welcomed my babies with open arms and lots of love and hugs! Once they sent initial pics of my babies getting lots of love, hugs and way too many snuggles (LOL!), I KNEW they were in their second home. :) Mimi even crafted a special unique way of capturing all of their activities, which was efficient, as well as quite hilarious. LOVE IT! I received regular updates and the most adorable pics that made my time away stress-free, knowing that my babies were in a place where they were loved as much as if I was with them myself. Mimi & Terrell's home was immaculate, warm and pup-friendly! They had all the comforts of having your pups stay in their new "second-home" while you are away. My babies were well-fed, had plenty of play time, hugs and cuddles but more importantly I knew they felt safe and happy while mommy was away. I cannot recommend these good souls more to care for your babies. You will not only find great sitters, but future family. I know I did! :) Love...LOVE...LOVE THESE FOLKS! :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
