“Leslie did a great job with my Marley. Marley is a very anxious dog and he had a blast with Leslie. I will leave for my work trip in a couple weeks knowing that he is in good hands and being well cared for! 🤍”

“Erin was literally the BEST sitter we could’ve had! We are so lucky to have found her on such short notice. She gave so much care and attention to our Jada while we were out of town and her furrbaby Nala made Kadas stay EVEN BETTER! I cant say enough good things about how much we loved Erin! Absolutely amazing! After being apprehensive of using rover for the first time - my expectations have been easily exceeded! We can’t thank you enough Erin! ❤️❤️❤️”

“Albina was very sweet and patient with our little baby. He is a handful with lots of energy. She sent lots of pictures and played with him. She was very patient as it was his first time being away from home and he cried a lot at night. Albina tried to comfort him by sleeping on the couch with our pup and even taking him to her bed. She even went the extra mile to make sure he eventually got some sleep when we took him home. 10/10”

“Ana is the BEST. She accepted to take care of Jack on short notice. From the moment we arrived at her home I felt at ease and welcomed. Her attention to detail is amazing (I guess the engineer in her). I had mentioned how Jack loves walks so she made sure she walked him and gave him all the time he needed to sniff. I am very happy we found Ana and Jack looks forward to spending time with her soon.”

“Beatrice is the best sitter i have had so far. She kept updating me with pictures of molly and how she was doing. For most of the sitters its a side thing, Beatrice does it full time and is a complete professional about it. She loves dogs, after just a 24 hour stay she told me things about my dog that took me 2 months to figure out. Keep up the good work.”

About: Hi! I’m Jillian, a dependable and attentive dog & cat lover (& any other 4 legged creature - shout out to gerbils) offering walks, drop-ins, and extended care. I understand how important it is to know your pet is safe and happy while you’re away, and I treat every dog and cat as if they were my own. I’m active and love long walks, playtime, and making sure dogs get the exercise and attention they need. I’m comfortable with dogs and cats of all sizes and always follow each pet’s routine and any special instructions closely. I also have personal experience caring for anxiety-prone dogs, as I have one of my own. Through that experience, I’ve learned successful strategies to help nervous or sensitive animals feel comfortable, safe, and calm in new situations. I’m patient, attentive to body language, and understand the importance of building trust with dogs and cats that need a little extra care. Whether your dog needs a midday walk while you’re at work or care while you travel, I provide reliable, caring service and regular updates so you always know how your pup (or cat) is doing. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friends! Pet care fits easily into my routine since I work part-time from home. I typically work from 8:30 AM to 1:30pm on weekdays, but I’m often able to accommodate walks or quick drop-ins during that time if needed. My afternoons, evenings, and weekends are flexible, so I have plenty of time to focus on giving dogs and cats the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. Since pets are often most comfortable in their own home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible. I carefully follow all instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, and any special preferences so your dog or cat feels relaxed and secure while you’re away. I’m very attentive to safety during walks and always keep dogs securely leashed and supervised. Because I have experience with an anxious dog of my own, I’m patient and sensitive to each dog’s personality and comfort level, helping them feel calm and comfortable in my care. I also treat every client’s home with the utmost respect and care. I’m mindful of keeping the space clean and secure, and I’m happy to help with small tasks while you’re away, such as bringing in mail, taking out the trash, or watering plants. You can also expect regular updates and photos so you always know how your pup is doing.
“Tami was friendly and professional. We felt very comfortable after meeting with her, her family and her dogs. She was very sweet to our golden retriever and attentive. She maintained regular connections with little messages and photos each day. Would love to use her again for a future stay.”

About: Hi! I'm a passionate dog lover with over 7 years of hands-on experience caring for my own dog, and I've also had the pleasure of dog sitting for many friends over the years—sometimes for several weeks at a time. I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I take the time to make sure they feel comfortable, loved, and safe while you're away. Whether it's walks, playtime, feeding,I'm dedicated to providing reliable, attentive care so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in good hands. Dog walking and boarding fit very well into my schedule. I work in the office from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM on weekdays, and I'm home for the rest of the day, which allows me to spend plenty of quality time with the dogs in my care. During the few hours I'm away, your dog will have the companionship of my friendly, well-socialized dog, so they won't be alone. Once I'm home, I'll be available for walks, playtime, potty breaks, feeding, and lots of attention to make sure your dog feels comfortable, happy, and cared for. I live in a gated community which is extremely secure. We also have numerous huge dog parks in the community but I would only take the dogs when it is just them in the dog park, safety is the priority!

About: I have hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages and temperaments. I focus on keeping pets safe, comfortable, and happy while following their routines closely, and I always make sure they receive plenty of attention, affection, and care. I prefer morning and afternoon schedules, allowing me to provide consistent attention, walks, feeding, playtime, and companionship. I enjoy building my day around pets’ routines to make sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and well-loved. I make sure to follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and any special instructions. I always prioritize safety, cleanliness, and communication, and I treat every home and pet with respect and care.
“We are so grateful to have found Diana&Brian to care for Scooby and making him part of their family. We meet beforehand so they can meet and introduce their 2 fur babies with him one at a time safely and within 15 minutes they got along. They took amazing care and their love for dogs shows through their effort, care and communication they put into work every day. We got lots of pictures and videos and i can tell Scooby was having an amazing time. They even got a Christmas present for Scooby! Our family highly recommend them as a loving and caring pet parent's and we will definitely book them again. 🤗”

About: I love all dogs! I have a senior 12+ year old pitbull who is the most social and friendly dog anyone will ever meet. He himself has been going to doggy daycare for the last 8 years due to seperation anxiety. I work from home and do have to be at the office from time to time or job sites, so my days will vary. I’ll treat your pup like they are my own! I have been a bully breed dog mom for 21 years. We have no kids and a big yard almost a half acre where they can roam, play and of course sploot in the sun! If you pup needs meds I’m happy to help make sure they get their meds. I have plenty of dog beds for them to lounge and sleep too. I work from home, so am at a computer and can work from any room. I start at 8:30 and finish at 5 PM. I will never leave any pets unattended so they feel safe. Fenced yard and I’ll always be around watching when they venture out to the bathroom. If you tell me they need to pee every hour, on every hour it is.

“Once again, Natalie and Michael were wonderful with our dogs. They accommodated a last minute request, coming to the house to let dogs out multiple times a day, feeding them and taking them for walks. Natalie provided regular updates with photos. The dogs love them both. They're terrific, and I highly recommend them. We will definitely ask for Natalie and Michael again.”

“Our dog had a wonderful time at Loriana’s place. She sent us pictures everyday. Has a very secure backyard. Her retriever is very friendly and was a good companion to our Luna.”

Kasha took care of my baby Ava while I was in Vegas. She kept my baby safe while I was away, and I loved the communication I received while I was gone. Kasha gave me updates and pictures that showed me how my dog was doing. I recommend booking with Kasha, and I definitely will book again in the future.

Ms. Delois was great, my cat Nala was very scared at first but as the day went on she started to warm up to her new surroundings. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
