About: I've taken care of pets (dogs, cats, hamsters, birds) since I was young. Friends and family have been relying on me to care for their pets. I also have a cat of my own that I adopted. I'm currently work from home so I can keep your pups and kitties company while you're away. I'm not available to board as my home is a single cat home. I can keep your pets company and walk your dog during the time you're gone. I love to play with dogs and cats and can keep them entertained easily.
About: As a long time dog owner, I can care for dogs of all different ages-or just visit with them for a bit! I am experienced with my own pets and am sure I can care for yours in the same way. Iâm currently in a hybrid setting at my job so I work from home Monday and Friday and am flexible throughout any point of the day at that time. Tuesday-Thursday I get home at 6:30 or earlier so I can take your dog on a little afternoon stroll as well. I have a partially fenced yard and am able to crate dogs if needed. I can keep them company at your home as well if needed!

âThanks, Amanda, for taking such good care of our kitties for the week! The drop-in updates were great and we appreciated seeing pix of the rascals. Excellent problem-solving, too!â

âOur puppy loves Isabella! She goes above and beyond when visiting Rocky, playing with him, and taking him for a walk. We definitely recommend Isabella and will continue to use her service in the future.â

âCaryn was fantastic! Communication was great, she was very friendly and sent great updates and pictures when she stopped to check on our kitties. We will absolutely book her again!â

âWe felt so good knowing Olive was in Art's hands while we were away. His friendliness and knowledge made Olive feel comfortable while we were gone. Art kept in touch with us and sent us pictures after having some great play time. We will definitely use Art again.â

About: I have 13 years of experience being around and caring for dogs ages 8 weeks to 13 years with all different energy levels and care needs. This is currently my only job so Iâm available for your pets Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. I am open to negotiating some later evenings and weekends. Just looking for a full time summer job I can be trusted for all feeding, walking, potty, and play needs. Of course a fenced in yard is appreciated for stress free outdoor play.
âAlysa was absolutely fantastic with our cats! She was very thorough, asked questions when needed, the litter box is clean and our kitties are happy and healthy upon our return. We are so very happy we chose her and will definitely be using her in the future!â

âDuring the meet and greet, Blue took an instant liking to Kisha which was great to see. Kisha sent us pictures for every visit and we felt very confident that Blue was in good hands. This was our first time using a service like this and Kisha made the experience a positive one and we look forward to using Kisha in the future.â

About: Iâve taken care of pets since the age of 8. Growing up I had bunnies, hamsters, fish, and dogs. I currently have 2 dogs of my own. I love the innocence that interacting with animals brings! I currently am available for pet care Monday-Friday, mornings and afternoons. I work from 3-10 and can be very reliable outside of those hours! If itâs reliability and consistency youâre looking for, I can provide that. . I have no problem handling multiple dogs at once on walks/hikes. I love getting out and enjoying fresh air, especially when I have a furry companion!
About: I have experience with all different dog breeds and sizes. I know great helpful training techniques. Also, I grew up living with dogs up until now. I have a full time Hybrid job. I work from home 3 days a week and the workload has been fairly light. I currently live with no furry friends and am missing the connection with them. I want to hold off on adopting right now so I thought the best way to fulfill my wants of having a dog will be through this app. I have no fenced in yard or much of a yard at all. My home is spacious though, so there is enough room for your pet to be comfortable and play indoors. I have 3 reptiles that will stay in their tanks and do not cause disruptions. They also love watching other animals from afar.
About: I am a Certified Veterinary Technician with a keen eye for behavior, health, and husbandry. I am employed locally part-time, but am looking to start making a name for myself as an individual within the community. I work PT at the local college and my hours are flexible which allows me to âcome and goâ as needed for your pets individual care and needs. I am happy to help in your home or mine. I am available to feed and water, play or walk, medicate, and/or just offer my company!
About: I grew up in a home always having at least 2 pups running around & have always enjoyed being around animals. While I have always helped out with our own animals ever since I was little, I have been house sitting/pet sitting for others since I was 10! I also have experience with a wide age range, from puppies to senior pups. I have a few families I regularly dog-sit consistently that Iâve met through rover, and would love to add some new faces to my âdog familyâ & love on your pup while youâre away! :) I work full time Monday-Thursday, these days I am free after 6/7pm and Fridays after 1pm. I have full availability on weekends for all the cuddles, walks & fetch games we can fit in! I have a cat - Luna - who is the sweetest ball of fluff you will ever meet, however, she is very anxious and shy. While she does very well with other cats, she doesnât do well with dogs. Watching your pup in their own environment would be ideal, not only for them, but for her.
About: Full-time dog walker & house sitter in Joliet, IL, focused on reliable, structured care. Iâm especially comfortable with high-energy dogs that need more than a quick bathroom walk, as well as senior pets who benefit from patience, consistency, and calm handling. My goal is simple: keep your petâs routine stable and send clear updates so you can feel confident while youâre away. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I currently have full-time flexibility. Iâm available mornings, midday, evenings, and weekends for walks, drop-ins, or overnight care. I structure my day around your petâs needs to ensure consistent attention and reliable service. When caring for pets in your home, I follow your instructions carefully and maintain your petâs normal routine for feeding, exercise, and medications. I prioritize safety, secure leashing, proper entry and exit protocols, and close supervision at all times. Your home is treated with respect, and your petâs well-being is my first priority.
About: I have been taking care of the pets of friends and family for years, ranging from dog-walking to week-long pet sitting. Experience with a wide range of breeds and ages. I am a substitute teacher with a very flexible schedule, so I can take care of animals pretty much any time during days when I am not subbing. For sitting at otherâsâ home, I try and keep the petâs schedule as close to normal as possible! I prefer sitting in otherâsâ homes just to keep things simple for the furry babies.
âSydney did a great job with my pets. All the cats and dogs seemed happy and well fed. even the cats that usually hide for other people came out and she took pics of them during her check ins. I would book her again.â

âNicole is a gentle and kind care giver who help our family by talking care of our beloved dog, Maggie while we were out of town for a memorial service. Normally, we take Maggie with us when we travel but this time it was not possible. Our daughter recommended we use Rover to find a sitter for Maggie and that's how we found Nicole. We arranged for Nicole to drop in during the day periodically to ensure Maggie was taken care of. Nicole was always on schedule and sent us photos of Maggie everyday. Nicole's daily reports gave us peace of mind and comfort knowing Maggie was doing well. We highly recommend Nicole. You can truly trust Nicole to provide a high level of quality care for your four legged family members when you are away from home. Our sincere thanks to you, Nicole.â

Kaylyn took wonderful care of our two Yorkies, Sasha and Malia, while we were away on a short vacation. She was professional, punctual, and very easy to work with. The girls absolutely loved her, and we had complete peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. We will definitely be booking Kaylyn again!

Andie!! Is the sweetest, most loving pet sitter we can ever ask for! She always goes above and beyond to make sure our furr babies feel taken care of! My pup loves her comforting presence and affection! Andie also responds promptly and is awesome about sending us cute photos of our pup & cat!

Johanna was excellent in providing care for our dog over the weekend. She made all appointments on time, followed all instructions and gave us appropriate updates throughout our time away. I would recommend her services to anyone looking for proper pet care.
Lexi did a great job checking on my dog. She was prompt to both the meet and greet and the doggy check-in. She was very friendly, and I could tell she loved animals. The âRover Cardâ was a nice perk. It was great seeing my dog having fun and also receiving a summary of the visit. Lexi was great, and I would definitely book her again.

Thank you Lisa â we needed someone to let out our German Shepherd dog. Lisa came over. Met our dog and took excellent care of her. I would highly recommend using Lisa in the future. We will definitely be using her going forward as our dog sitter. Thank you for all the last-minute changes with our crazy schedule.

Jordan was wonderful! I felt very comfortable leaving our pup Leia in her care. She was very flexible and easy going, even working with me when we had to delay our trip by a day. We received regular updates and pictures while away and we came home to Leia very content. Thank you Jordan!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
