“We are so grateful to have found Diana&Brian to care for Scooby and making him part of their family. We meet beforehand so they can meet and introduce their 2 fur babies with him one at a time safely and within 15 minutes they got along. They took amazing care and their love for dogs shows through their effort, care and communication they put into work every day. We got lots of pictures and videos and i can tell Scooby was having an amazing time. They even got a Christmas present for Scooby! Our family highly recommend them as a loving and caring pet parent's and we will definitely book them again. 🤗”

“My babies are absolutely spoiled and we were very hesitant to leave them with a stranger. Denise treated them as her own, taking them out often and giving them the many many cuddles they need for daily survival. I was surprised at how well behaved her young pitbull was with my little ones, too. One of my dogs was having an issue with his coat and she cooked him fresh sweet potato and eggs and he came back looking even better! She has so many toys and blankets and even let them come home with their favorites! My extremely anxious girl loved her from minute one! She never lets people touch her but in all of the photos Denise sent there my dog was, right by her side!! She gave them bandanas to match their personalities and im so glad my pups had a vacation of their own while we were away! Would definitely recommend her!!”

“Debbie and Reggie took very good care of Daisy and Patch. They communicated well with us and sent daily photos. They clearly kept our pups active and attended to. Feed well even our dogs can be finicky eaters. Would definitely use them again.”
“Amy and her husband were great. It was a last minute booking, and they even watched Todd an extra day when my plans changed at the last minute and I wasn't going to be home on time.”

“Vanessa was extremely caring with our puppy's first stay away from home. She provided us with lots of pictures and him with lots of belly rubs! I will use Vanessa again!”

“Nicole was fantastic in keeping my Romie. She eased my mind by sending pictures and text. She answered all my questions and listened to my concerns . I am usually overly worried about my 12-year-old grandson Romie but Nicole assured me she could do the job and she did. I will use Nicole on my upcoming trips. Thanks again for the excellent job !!”

“Kimberly and her family went above and beyond for us and our pups. They showered our pups with love, were super accommodating, and communicated well throughout the stay. We would recommend to anyone and everyone. When you book with her, you are booking a family.”

“Laina takes such good care of Luna for us! Luna is very skittish (can be reactive) but she takes to Laina right away. She's so good with her! I appreciate her loving care very much.”

About: Pet Care Experience I have hands-on experience caring for my own dog and understand the responsibilities involved in providing daily care. My duties included feeding and providing fresh water, taking my dog on regular walks for exercise, grooming, cleaning up after them, and ensuring they had a safe and comfortable environment. I also monitored my dog's health and behavior, administered medications when needed as directed, and provided plenty of attention, playtime, and affection to support their overall well-being. Through this experience, I developed patience, responsibility, and a strong understanding of the importance of consistent, compassionate pet care. Pet care is a regular part of my daily routine. I make time each day to feed my dog, provide fresh water, take them on walks, clean up after them, and spend time playing and interacting with them. I also make sure they receive any needed grooming and monitor their health and behavior to ensure they are happy and well cared for. Caring for my dog has helped me develop consistency, responsibility, and a strong commitment to meeting an animal's daily needs. When caring for pets in my home or a client's home, I follow the owner's instructions to ensure the pet stays on its normal routine. I provide fresh food and water, regular walks and exercise, playtime, and plenty of attention. I clean up after pets, keep their living areas clean, and monitor their behavior for any signs of illness or discomfort. If medications are required, I administer them according to the owner's directions. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment while treating every pet with patience, kindness, and care.
“Freya was fabulous and open with communication about our pet. They constantly sent us pics and updates on the status of our Waffle. I feel they went the extra mile on caring for our baby. This was my first experience using this app and now I am willing to keep using it! Thank you Freya!!”

“Pat went above and beyond to care for our senior pup who is prone to some anxiety. She took care of our dog as if she were her own. She provided lots of updates and pictures and we knew that our girl was in very good hands. Pat has a nice, big and fenced-in backyard which we know our dog enjoyed exploring. Communication was quick and easy from the meet and greet through the entire visit. We’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter!”

“Alba took amazing care of my dog Sparky! I truly appreciated her availability and the extra attention she gave him. She sent me daily photos where I could see how happy he was, and she walked him every day — even more than I usually do! It gave me so much peace of mind to know he was in such good hands. Thank you for the great service, and I would definitely book with her again if possible!”

“We had boarded our 14-year-old Springer with her breeder only. Due to an emergency we found Jo'ell on Rover. Liz had a great stay for 5 days and we were most pleased with the daily communication and great care she received. Thank you again Jo'ell.”

“It was the first time using this site. I have never left Izzy with anyone before, but I was going away for a long weekend. I was so nervous to leave her and she cried when I dropped her off, but I knew she’d get over it because there were other dogs there and she loves to play. Desiree was awesome. Send pictures every day and videos which made me feel ease on my vacation. I would definitely recommend her. She has a wonderful set up and is wonderful with the dogs that she cares for. I will be calling her again when I go away.”

“We are very pleased with Beatrice’s experience and caring for our 13 year old Cairn terrier Poodle mix that stayed with her for a week! That is the longest he has stayed away from us and he was in great shape when we picked him up. He was very well taken care of, and we received daily reports from her that were very reassuring. It was like a home away from home. We definitely plan to have him stay where whenever needed in the future! Thank you Beatrice!”

“This was my first time leaving my dog with someone. I was so happy that Ollie was happy. I didn’t feel stressed out about her while I was gone. Jennifer communicated every day with me and sent pictures. I am great full to her and her husband for taking care of Ollie for me! I will definitely use them again, and recommend them to anyone who is looking for a pet sitter!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
