“Renae was very flexible with my pick-up and drop-off times and is very knowledgeable! Rex had a great time playing with Renae's dogs and I could tell he really enjoyed his weekend. I also appreciated all the time she spent with him at the park!”

“Amy was very accommodating to my last minute booking. It was only for 1 night, but Zoe loved playing with Amy's dog, Lady. Everything went well and I will definitely bring Zoe here again.”

“Fanny was so attentive to my dog, she treated him with lots of love and tender care, and, patience, as if he was her own! I definitely would use her again. I highly recommend her services! She is very kind, friendly, and accommodating!!!”

“This was my first time leaving my dog with someone. I was so happy that Ollie was happy. I didn’t feel stressed out about her while I was gone. Jennifer communicated every day with me and sent pictures. I am great full to her and her husband for taking care of Ollie for me! I will definitely use them again, and recommend them to anyone who is looking for a pet sitter!”

About: I have hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages and temperaments. I have a dog of my own who I personally potty trained and taught basic tricks, which has given me a strong understanding of patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. I am very caring and truly love animals more than anything, treating every dog as if they were my own. I focus on keeping pets safe, comfortable, and happy while following their routines closely, and I always make sure they receive plenty of attention, affection, and care. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work part-time, which gives me plenty of time and flexibility to care for pets. I prefer morning and afternoon schedules, allowing me to provide consistent attention, walks, feeding, playtime, and companionship. I enjoy building my day around pets’ routines to make sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and well-loved. I make sure to follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and any special instructions. I focus on keeping pets comfortable in their familiar environment, giving them plenty of attention, affection, and supervision. I always prioritize safety, cleanliness, and communication, and I treat every home and pet with respect and care.
“Kimberly and her family are wonderful. We just picked up my little Yorkie from an overnight stay. Kimberly sent a number of adorable photos and updates on how he was doing. I always feel relaxed and happy every time he stays with her.”
“Clarissa was so amazing with rotini! She went above and beyond to make sure he was eating well and having a great time. Her dog, Rue, was the perfect playmate for my dog. Would rebook with her anytime!”

“Thank you again, Vanessa, for taking care of our fur baby. We truly appreciate your kindness, patience, and experience. Your comforting presence and natural ability to connect with him made all the difference, especially as this was our first experience.”

“Marissa as able to fit my Thaddeus in last min and was willing to work with me. He enjoyed spending time there. She kept me posted. Her whole family was incredibly kind. I highly recommend. I plan to use their service when I’m back in the area.”

“Laina and her husband Bill are a great couple and true dog lovers! Highly recommend for anyone looking for pet day care or boarding. My Meatball GSD just spent 12 days with them and got all their care with full of joy. I got daily update by messages, photos and lots of videos. They even made special arrangement to let my dog gradually get to know their dogs and I am so glad that Meatball became friend with Bodhi. Again, Laina and Bill are very caring and responsible, I will for sure use their service again in the future. Thank you Laina and Bill!”

“Pat did her usual fantastic job sitting our two dogs during our 10-day vacation. Our boys are very different - one young and boisterous, the other senior and laid back - and Pat gives each one of them the care and attention they need. Pat also does such a great job keeping us updated with pictures and comments throughout the booking. It’s so reassuring to know that they’re in such good hands!”

“Familia súper simpática y activa. Paseos tempranos y largos. Me llamó la atención su terraza, y no me he equivocado, porque ha Happy le ha gustado no estar encerrada en un piso. Pero lo mejor -lo siento humanos- ha sido Volcom...❤️❤️❤️ Siento que Happy ha hecho buenas “migas”. No suelo despegarme de Happy, y he podido confiar en Lori 100%.”

About: Hi! I’m Nicole, and I work remotely as a graphic designer while pet-sitting! I’d love to hang out with your baby or take them on walks or just keep them company! The details: I’m currently open for a recurring lunch time walk/drop-in spot! I do have meetings throughout the day and work full-time, so it’s u likely I can accommodate any other weekday times. Weeknights and weekends are open though! I am open to sitting for all types of animals! I love to be outdoors, so walking and playing with your pet will be a treat for both me and them. I’m also cool with a little snuggle bug watching tv on the couch! I’ve walked and spent time with dogs of all shapes and sizes through volunteer work at a shelter in SK. You can count on me to love your pet as my own while I’m with them. I have no problem giving medication or any other special needs your dog might have. - I require meet & greets. - All pets must be up to date on vaccines. - All pets must be in generally good health. - I am not able to offer constant care during daytime hours on weekdays. (Additional costs will be applied for constant care). - Please let me know all about their personality, quirks, and habits! House Sitting notes: Every sitter uses this service a bit differently. For my services, house sitting = staying overnight in your home and caring for the pet between 5pm - 8am and 1 drop in around noon. Any additional needs require additional drop-in costs because I am not able to stay in your home the entire day (I must care for my own pet and another client daily). Don’t hesitate to ask questions if you have any! I'd love to hang out with your pet and work out a schedule! I do work full-time but have some flexibility in my hours. I currently have an opening for lunchtime walks or drop-ins, and I’m always open to doggy daycare. Weeknights and weekends are open! My home has a fenced in yard with lots of room to run and play, our house is small but we live in a quiet neighborhood with lots of good places to walk and sniff!
“Our pup was so well-loved by Patricia and her family. From the second she met our dog I knew she was in good hands and the regular updates and pictures she sent reassured us of that. Could not recommend her services more highly!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
