“Again! Beyonka came thru and helped us with our furry family member. We are beyond grateful for her accommodations for our pet and speedy communication. As we’ve used her before to watch our dog we felt comfortable asking again! Highly recommended and very happy with her.”

“Marko was fantastic. He kept us updated about our dog Luna and sent many pictures. It was very reassuring to know she was so well taken care of especially since Luna is young and fairly new to our family. Would highly recommend!!”

“This is my first time doing Rover. So I had no clue what to expect. Katie and Timothy were caring ,kind and attentive hosts. Chloe the chihuahua had a great time. She would love to stay with them again. Amazing people.”

“Amazing dog sitter! She sent a bunch of pictures of my dog during his stay and took him on some really nice walks. He seemed really happy when I picked him up. Definitely recommend!”
“We really appreciate Matt and Michelle taking such good care of Lucky for us during our wedding and honeymoon trip. They provided frequent updates and photos, we could tell Lucky became a part of their family and felt comfortable. Would absolutely book again!”

“This was our first time leaving our pup for more than a day and Jill was so reassuring that Remi would be just fine! And she was! Our corgi is still very much a pup and has lots of energy so we always worry about her inability to relax and recharge. Jill sent multiple pics of her relaxing and settling in which made us feel much better!! Remi came home worn out (in the best way) and seemed like she had the best time. Thank you, Jill!!!”

“Robynn was by far one of the best pet sitters I’ve ever had. She took great care to make sure my Boston Terrier was acclimated to her space and would get along with the other dogs in her home at the time. She was also very flexible and accommodating with pick-up/drop-off times and is amazing with communication and providing photo and video updates during my pet’s stay with her. I will certainly be booking with her again in the future!”

“Justine was extremely generous with her time and provided a safe and loving environment for our senior dog who is 15 years old and blind. I did not want our dog to be in a setting with too many other dogs which would make him nervous and on top of that he takes medications. This was a family style setting and Justine and her family treated my dog like family. That’s the best quality experience you could ask for.”

About: My name is Sandra and I’m 28 years old. I have two furry family members; Bonbon, an 11 year old poodle mix, and Wally, a 3 year old collie mix. I currently work as a Dog Groomer, but have about 6 years of experience in the Dog Daycare industry. My past jobs have given me the experience needed to handle and care for dogs of all sizes. They’ve also taught me how to greet an unfamiliar dog, how to do feedings for various dogs, administer medication, and how to detect signs of aggression and fear. With my personal experience and professional experience, I am well equipped to handle dogs in all stages of life. With that being said, It takes patience, hard work, and honesty to care for a dog. My offered services to clients are met with the highest of standards. I believe in giving 100% in all work that I do, meaning you’ll never receive less than excellent care for your best friend. It’s difficult to leave your dog in the hands of a stranger, however, I always treat every dog the way I would want my dog to be treated: like family. If you have any questions regarding my services, please feel free to reach out! I am fully committed to Rover, meaning I have full availability, and can give your furry family members my full attention 7 days a week. I care for your pets the way I would care for my own. Every furry family member is different, and you know them best. I can guarantee my care will reflect the dog’s lifestyle. Whether you crate at home, or your pet snuggles in bed with yourself; I aim to keep the routine as close as possible to that at home.
“We were fortunate to find Shannon. We have a somewhat special needs dog (Sandy) and didn’t think we could find an appropriate sitter. But Sandy quickly accepted Shannon and her two beautiful dogs, Lex and Captain Black. We were able to enjoy a worry free trip knowing Sandy was receiving excellent care. We highly recommend Shannon and will use her service in the future.”

“Melvin enjoyed his time with Marisol. She kept me up to date with texts and photos. She also purchased optional food when Melvin wasn’t eating his regular food which had never happened before. I’ll use her services again in the future.”

“Extremely satisfied with the kindness and care Angelica and her family showed my dog while he stayed with them. He definitely enjoyed himself making new friends. Will be rebooking”

“La Toya is very friendly, easy to communicate with and shared lovely pictures of my pup during a last minute sitting request. Her doggies are so sweet as well. Thank you La Toya!”

“This was Benji's first time with Pennie and it went really well. Pennie was great with Benji and I was comfortable leaving him with her. The meet and greet went well and Benji and her dog got along. She sent pictures and kept me posted on how Benji was doing over the course of the stay. We did an overnight as a trial to see how Benji adjusted and will use Pennie again for dog boarding.”

“Hey pet parents, have I got a recommendation for you! Kristine and her daughter stepped up last minute to take care of my furry friend, and let me tell you, they were amazing. Not only did Kristine provide regular updates and photos, but her daughter even taught my dog some new tricks. Talk about going above and beyond! If you're looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter, I can confidently say that Kristine is the one to call. Don't stress about leaving your pup behind, trust me, they'll be in good hands with Kristine. So go ahead and give her a shout, you won't regret it!”

“Taylor and Samuel were amazing and took very good care of our dog. They made sure to send pictures and give updates and clearly enjoyed having him around. I would definitely recommend and book with them again!”

“Kimberly and her family are wonderful. We just picked up my little Yorkie from an overnight stay. Kimberly sent a number of adorable photos and updates on how he was doing. I always feel relaxed and happy every time he stays with her.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Big Rock
Kimberly was great! She has an excellent rural location with lots of place for pets to roam around. She kept on updating and sending photos all the time. When we picked up our pet he looked really good and it showed that he had a good time with her. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Kimberly was so accommodating with Iris. We were staying at one of her camping spots (you can find her place on HipCamp) and had to attend a family event nearby that wasn't dog friendly. Kimberly not only took Iris in, but our pup got to hang with her dogs and get in some healthy playtime. She also has a nice little fenced in dog park on her property. Iris loved getting to check out all of the farm animals as well. We'll definitely be dropping our pup off again if we're in the area. Thanks, Kimberly! And Iris paw-thanks you as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
