I work half days from home on Fridays and are usually home on weekends. I enjoy taking dogs for daily walks either through the neighborhood or at forest preserves.

We have a fenced in yard. One of our beagles was an escape artist, so the fence was fortified over the years to keep her in the yard. We have a pool, but it has an auto cover, so it always closed if not in use.

Please let me know if your dog is anxious or aggressive around new dogs while on walks. Dogs must be housetrained and kid friendly. What is your dogs feeding schedule? Any medications? What is your dogs usual routine? Anything special I should know?
A typical day
I will take the dogs on daily walks in my neighborhood and possibly the local forest preserves. I prefer to use a long lead (which I have) with a harness (please bring a harness, but if the dog is around 30 pounds, one of my old harnesses will probably fit). If the dog likes fetch (and drops the ball), we will play fetch with them. Most of the time our dogs like to chill on the couch.

We've had dogs our whole lives. We love taking them for walks in the neighborhood and at local forest preserves. We have been a beagle family our adult lives. We are currently in between dogs as Reggie and Penny both passed away in 2025 due to cancer.

Nathan is a great host. He and his family love dogs, have adopted a number of dogs in the past giving them a good home, are great about taking walks, and live in a dog friendly neighborhood. He has watched my dog a number of times and my dog always is happy to see him and his family. He is very quick to respond to questions/concerns.
