Beagle Lover with Fenced in Yard
We've had dogs our whole lives. We love taking them for walks in the neighborhood and at local forest preserves. We have been a beagle family for our adult lives. We recently adopted Lucy, a senior beagle, after taking a one year break after our most recent beagles, Reggie and Penny, both passed away in 2025 due to cancer.

Grea6 host, was very flexible with drop-off and pickup, took her for walks daily, and sent pictures every day. I will definitely be using again in the future if possible
Nathan is a great host. He and his family love dogs, have adopted a number of dogs in the past giving them a good home, are great about taking walks, and live in a dog friendly neighborhood. He has watched my dog a number of times and my dog always is happy to see him and his family. He is very quick to respond to questions/concerns.

Schedule
I work half days from home on Fridays and are usually home on weekends. I enjoy taking dogs for daily walks either through the neighborhood or at forest preserves.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a fenced in yard. One of our beagles was an escape artist, so the fence was fortified over the years to keep her in the yard. We have a pool, but it has an auto cover, so it always closed if not in use.
Pets
A typical day
I will take the dogs on daily walks in my neighborhood and possibly the local forest preserves. I prefer to use a long lead (which I have) with a harness (please bring a harness, but if the dog is around 30 pounds, one of my old harnesses will probably fit). If the dog likes fetch (and drops the ball), we will play fetch with them. Most of the time our dogs like to chill on the couch.
