“This was our first experience using Rover. Thank you for making it so easy. Macy S was the best! She was so polite and conscientious. She sent the cutest pictures of our cats warming up to her and it made us feel relieved they were safe so we could enjoy our time away from them. Overall very positive experience. Would use Rover again.”

About: I have been part of a dog family since I was 9 years old. Several friends and neighbors have used me as a repeat sitter - I even took care of little doggies in diapers :) now I have several years of pet care experience through Rover. I also have my own dog, a teenage Aussie named Witten, who I’ve cared for the last couple years but who is currently being fostered with a friend who’s home is more suitable for him during my transition to the cities. When I care for your dog, I am communicative and will make sure you receive regular updates (unless you want me to leave you alone!) I’m not afraid to ask a question to make sure I’m always doing the best for your pet. I will go above and beyond, cleaning up trash, vomit, accidents, as needed. I want to work with you to give you the most peace of mind possible that your pet is in good hands. I’m recently moved to the cities and in the job search now, so I’ve got lots of flexibility to care for your pup on their schedule, and/or to stay with them for a meaningful amount of time during the day. My priority is making sure your pet remains feeling safe and cared for while you’re gone. I stay in tune with your dog’s needs so if they need to be calmed, or played with, or cuddled, I’m there for them. My approach is to help them feel loved while also making sure they know I am in charge so they can be safe with me.

“Elizabeth was very communicative during her check-ins, and the cats took to her very well! Even my shy kitty who usually hides, came out to say hello! Thank you, Elizabeth!”

“Angela was very flexible and helped us out on very short notice. She arrived exactly when she said she would, fed and pottied my three dogs, had some play time and did some special care with my senior boy. I will call on her again if needed.”

“Katie was the absolute best! We had to book last minute and she was so accommodating! She was fantastic with my two cats, gave them their meds no problem, and was truly delightful to communicate with. Will absolutely hire again!”

“Sarah was able to look in on my two cats on super short notice, giving them food and attention. One of them also needed medicine twice a day, which was no problem for her. She was a life saver!”

About: My first German Shepard, Sheeba, trotted into my life when I was 4, and my intense, burning passion for dogs ignited. I’ve had them throughout my life and have yet to meet a dog I didn’t adore. Basically, I’m the guy at house parties in the office alone smooshing your pup’s face and giving them belly rubs. I’m comfortable with all sorts of breeds and temperaments. I work remote in a deadline based job that offers me some excellent flexibility. I’m able to be on site with your dog throughout the day, ensuring they get plenty of attention and outside time. When I’m caring for your dog, I’m caring for your family member. I know firsthand the amount of trust it takes to allow someone to be responsible for your loved one(s) and respect your property, and I don’t take that lightly.

About: I grew up around 4 dogs (golden retrievers and a French bulldog) and a cat, and helped to feed, walk, brush, & generally care for them from a young age. This includes helping to care for 11 puppies when I was 10! My dogs were some of my best friends, and I have a good understanding of how to communicate with and train them. All in all I have a massive respect and love for animals of all sorts and I always treat them with kindness. I'm also comfortable with elderly dogs-- currently my family owns an elderly, special needs Frenchie. I currently work full time as a planner for the Minnesota government. Accordingly, I am available between 6 - 7:30 am and after 6 pm Monday --> Friday, with more availability for lunchtime drop-ins on Mondays and Fridays. My availability most weekends is very flexible. I prefer to operate on a drop in basis. I am a responsible adult who enjoys a quieter lifestyle-- I prefer to spend my evenings and weekends working out (hiking, biking, swimming), going to bed early, and cooking good food. My friends, colleagues, and relatives have trusted me to care for their pets in the past.

“Kayleah is great! She helped us out last minute and was so efficient with communication during our time away. Our cat is also very particular about strangers and she did a great job taking care of him. We will continue to book her if we ever need someone to take care of our little fur babies while we’re gone.”

“Ashley was great at communication, diligent about coming over to visit Angela, proactive about communicating any messes, and Angela had a great time with her!”

“Penny has been great. Norbu seems to really like her, she was very punctual and appeared to enjoy what she is doing. I would definitely use Penny again.”

“Phoebe was awesome!!! Very friendly, communicative, and easy to work with! She sent photos and thorough notes/updates about how the drop-in visits went with my cat. I would definitely hire her again in the future and recommend her to others! Thank you Phoebe! ?”

About: I (Ellen) am a lifelong dog lover who has spent a decade volunteering with various animal shelters and helping rescue dogs find permanent, loving homes. I also have some basic dog training experience as a result of my volunteer work. My husband, Erik, and I are both excellent at getting dogs to feel comfortable around us, and we've been go-to dog sitters and dog walkers for friends, neighbors, and coworkers. We live in St. Paul and have flexible work schedules, which leaves us plenty of time to attend to your dog throughout the day or stop by your place for walks or short visits. Since we have no pets of our own at the moment, we're eager to give exercise, attention, and love to your dogs. I'm a fully remote worker with a very flexible job, and my husband is currently searching for full-time work. With no pets (or kids) of our own, we have plenty of time during the day and in the early evening to devote to the animals we care for. We have a comfortable, minimalist home where we can easily close off less dog-safe rooms (our basement, the bathroom), where there isn't much for your dog to get into, and where they can easily hang out with us. Because we're both home during business hours, your dog will always have company, and you won't have to worry about loneliness or boredom. We're also happy to come to clients' homes to walk dogs, follow their house rules, and clean up occasional messes and accidents as needed.
