About: I grew up with cats, dogs, a bearded dragon, and a whole lot of fish. I have a soft spot for spicy cats as I have one of my own. Currently, live in a space where I can't have a dog but if I could it would be a loveable rescue who loves to play and to go on walks. I've taken care of many friends and family pets over the years and excited to make some new furry (and scaly) friends! Through the summer my schedule is very flexible. I work at an elementary school as a reading tutor so during the school year I am available late afternoons/evenings and weekends. I am organized, outgoing, and friendly and as long as you have detailed instructions I feel confident taking care of your pets in your home.

About: My first German Shepard, Sheeba, trotted into my life when I was 4, and my intense, burning passion for dogs ignited. I’ve had them throughout my life and have yet to meet a dog I didn’t adore. Basically, I’m the guy at house parties in the office alone smooshing your pup’s face and giving them belly rubs. I’m comfortable with all sorts of breeds and temperaments. I work remote in a deadline based job that offers me some excellent flexibility. I’m able to be on site with your dog throughout the day, ensuring they get plenty of attention and outside time. When I’m caring for your dog, I’m caring for your family member. I know firsthand the amount of trust it takes to allow someone to be responsible for your loved one(s) and respect your property, and I don’t take that lightly.

About: I’ve had pets (dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, pigs etc.) my whole life, but have not been able to have my own in recent years due to my partner’s frequent work travel! Looking to get my animal loving fix while I’m stateside :) I love walks and I am able to accommodate the needs of high energy breeds who need to be walked far/frequently. Very willing to take animals who may need medicines at certain times, and very patient with both young and old animals. I’m currently working part time, so I am very flexible and able to accommodate any schedule your pet is accustomed to in order to make their sitting experience as stress free as possible! I require meet and greats for all new clients to ensure it’s a good fit for me and your furry friend! When walking dogs (and the rare cat who likes walks!) I complete a check off all leash and harness components before I embark. I typically avoid allowing strangers to pet when they ask, unless it’s specifically mentioned that the pet is tolerant of attention from strangers. I also take care to walk away from any other pets whenever possible to mitigate risk of any other animal being aggressive. I am very reliable when it comes to home security, and I ensure that client homes are secured and keys (if applicable) are returned to lockboxes or elsewhere they belong. I will be in communication strictly through the Rover app and will be available constantly for messages and calls. I send frequent photos of pets as well, as part of my process of communicating with clients.

About: I have over 2 years of experience working at dog daycares! With both cats and dogs. I currently have 2 dogs and 1 cat at home! I have experience administering medicine as I worked at a dog daycare in Fargo for 2 years. Additionally, I have experience de-escalating dangerous situations with animals and have been trained in animal CPR and first aid. I feed my cat at the same times every day and make sure to always find time to play with her. Pet care is naturally a part of my daily routine and I am very well organized and flexible enough to be able to add more. I would care for the pets in your home by following your instructions/guidelines and treating them how I would want my animals to be treated.

About: When my friends go on vacation, I am the first person they call to petsit! Animals warm up to my calm demeaner quickly, and I've been told by pet owners that their shy animals have never been so friendly to a new person so fast before. I have experience caring for cats & kittens, dogs, and birds. I am very patient and gentle with animals, seeking to understand their physical and vocal cues to know what they need. I am also an expert at playing fetch and tug of war with dogs, and my expertise with cat feather wands means the cat usually gets tired before I do. I love walking, so it's a bonus if your pup wants to come with! I am a graduate student at St. Thomas with a part-time tutoring job during the school year, so I have plenty of gaps in my schedule to care for your pet. This means that I can spend time during the day, night, and weekend with your pet, including returning home for potty or play breaks in between tutoring or classes, depending on the needs of your pet. I am also available to stay overnight with your pet, so long as they don't mind helping me with my homework! I am vigilant and aware while pet sitting, making sure I know where your pet is and never leaving any doors, gates, or windows open. For example, my friend lives in an apartment and has two kittens who like to escape into the hallway, so I also create a barrier when I open his front door to ensure they stay inside. His windows also don't have screens, so I make sure they are always shut and locked up tight. I love interacting with and talking with animals when they are around, so even if I am busy working on my own projects, I'll take frequent breaks to catch up with your pets and give them attention.

I've volunteered at my local shelter (in Florida), and I often visit shelters to give animals attention. Friends and coworkers know me for my love for animals and entrust me with their care when they are away for a work day or an extended period of time. I live and work full-time in downtown St. Paul with a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide care on workdays—whether that’s walks, check-ins, or some quality time. On weekends, I’m able to dedicate full days to pet care. I love going on neighborhood walks and outdoor excursions when the weather’s nice, and I’d be happy to have your fur baby join me. I always meet each pet where they’re at, whether they need lots of activity or a little extra emotional support. When caring for pets—whether in my home or a client’s—I focus on giving each animal the kind of attention and interaction that fits their personality. I’m happy to provide all the pets, cuddles, and playtime they want, but I always let them set the pace. I love playing fetch, being chased (or doing the chasing!), and I’m comfortable engaging in a bit of rough play with larger breeds when appropriate to help them burn off energy. I always respect an animal’s space and let them approach me first. With cats, for example, I’ll take things slowly and use gentle cues like slow blinking to help build trust. Whether your pet loves being a lap companion or just wants a calm presence nearby, I’m attentive to their needs and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in any environment.
