About: i have one dog and two cats of my own, and i have provided pet care for friends, neighbors, and referrals for many years! i am comfortable with any size of dog, and have a lot of experience with newer rescue animals in particular! i am available for drop ins during the week, with the most flexibility on thursdays and fridays. i have the most availability for drop ins and pet sitting on the weekends. i will ensure that your pets feel comfortable and cared for! i know how nerve wracking it can feel for someone new to watch after your pets, which is why i believe open and timely communication is so important.

About: I have over 20 years of experience caring for dogs, including very young puppies. I also have some experience training them (mostly basic commands, proper walking, and manners) as well as house training little ones. I also have over 10 years of experience caring for exotic animals such as hamsters, rats, fish, and birds. I am comfortable with caring for reptiles and insects as well. I work as an independent contractor, so I modify my booking availability based on the work I get from my main sources. If you need someone with ongoing availability, let me know; if I cannot accommodate you, I may be able to recommend another Rover worker. I have human first aid certification and have also heavily researched pet first aid and CPR. I have experience caring for special needs pets, such as those with epilepsy, mobility issues, and medication needs.

About: I’ve been an animal lover my entire life and have extensive hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. I grew up with dogs, and today I share my home with my two sweet&sassy cats, so I understand the unique needs and personalities of both. For two years, I volunteered at the Detroit Animal Shelter, where I cared for dogs and cats of all ages, temperaments, and backgrounds. I’ve also been fostering with Twin Cities Pet Rescue for over two years, providing a safe, loving home for animals while helping prepare them for adoption. Through fostering, I’ve cared for newborn kittens, adult cats, senior cats, and animals with a variety of medical and behavioral needs. I’m experienced administering oral medications, eye medications, and injections, and I’m comfortable caring for pets with special medical needs. Whether your pet is energetic and playful, shy and cautious, or needs a little extra patience and attention, I’m committed to making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I can promise I’ll treat your pet as if they were my own and will provide plenty of updates, photos, and communication so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. Although I work full time, my position is remote and flexible. I’m able to do half-hour lunch walks, as well as full week night and weekend availability for long walks. Because I’m able to work anywhere, I can spend ample time with pets I’m house sitting as I can work directly from your home! When I care for pets in their own homes, my goal is to keep their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I’ll follow your instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication, litter box or potty routines, and any other preferences you have for your pet’s care. I understand that every animal has a different personality and comfort level. Some pets love to play and be active, while others prefer quiet companionship or extra patience while they warm up to someone new. I’ll always respect their boundaries and let them set the pace. I’m experienced administering oral medications, eye medications, and injections when needed, and I’ll keep a close eye on your pet’s health, behavior, and overall well-being during every visit. I’ll also make sure your home is left just as I found it, cleaning up after meals, accidents, litter boxes, or muddy paws as needed. Communication is important to me, so you can expect regular updates and plenty of photos so you know your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel comfortable, confident, and at ease throughout the entire experience.

About: Andrew grew up taking care of family dogs, and Katie grew up caring for family cats. Together, our family had a dog for over 12 years who recently passed away. We love animals and find joy in caring for them! Katie works full time from home so is available to take wonderful care of your pet! On the weekends, our entire family is home and can provide care and plenty of time for play for your pet! We have a fenced in yard and currently no animals of our own in our house. We are also available to come to your home for walks or to spend time with your pet during the day.

About: I’ve loved dogs since I was a kid. In middle school, I began taking care of family & friends’ dogs. I love spending quality time with dogs, getting to know their unique personalities, and honoring their needs. I am also an experienced dog groomer who values building a bond of trust with pets and their families. I am a full-time student from September-May. I work part-time during the summer, so I generally have more time to spend with your pet throughout the week. I play organ and sing at various churches every weekend, which occupies my Saturday evenings & Sunday mornings. I also practice music every weekday morning. My home does not allow for pets, so I will be happy to stay in your home and take care of your dog in the environment they know best.

About: No matter the size, breed or personality of your pet, earning their trust and friendship (along with your own trust) is my top priority. As a lifelong animal lover, I grew up in a multi-pet household taking care of dogs, birds and small animals. Since then, I have taken care of horses, anoles, cats, parakeets and my curiosity for getting to know an animal's individual personality has only grown over that time. I currently have two dogs: an Australian shepherd and border collie mix, both of whom I raised from puppies by myself. We are an active family, walking/hiking and in general spending time exploring the neighborhood for hours a day, traveling together for camping or cabin vacations in our spare time. It's cliche, but my dogs are truly my family and as a long-time Rover user on the customer side, I understand what it means to have a sitter/walker you can trust while you're away. I love finding people who strive to understand them as individuals and who are sensitive to their needs. My border collie is highly sensitive and I have learned to work within his limits, giving him the stimulation he needs by finding more isolated parks to sniff around, mental challenges inside, etc. that keep him entertained while reducing stress. I am more than comfortable getting to know your own pets' quirks and finding ways to keep their days consistent and stress-free. Pet care is already at the center of my life, as I have two energetic herding dogs. We walk frequently every day to help burn energy -- I like to let my dogs walk at their pace so they can sniff around and stimulate their brains while getting exercise. As someone with pets I understand the importance of trust-building in drop-in visit situations. As your schedule permits, we can meet beforehand via a meet and greet to get a feel for your schedule and space, and how to support your comfort and your pets'. Pets thrive with routine, and I strive to support that.

About: Over the course of my life, I have taken care of two cats and one dog. I am a responsible and attentive towards all animals in my care, and strive to make them as comfortable as possible. I am also an excellent communicator! I am currently working part time, so I have availability weekday afternoons/evenings! I am also flexible about doing work on weekend. I am excited to work with you :) I can only pet-sit in other homes, my home is not a suitable place for a pet to stay. I am excellent at communicating and following directions, so when I stay with your pet they will be well-loved and comfortable.
