“Stephanie did a great job with my little Zena. She sent me a picture and updates on my baby to assure me how much fun Zena was having. “Susie did an amazing job with our pup Quinn! She was very communicative and took great care of our dog. I highly recommend Susie for your pets care!”

About: I've been a dog lover my entire life. In fact, when I was little, I used to tell my mom I wanted to be a dog when I grew up! 😂 My passion for dogs led me to begin fostering in 2019, and since then I've helped around 40 dogs find their forever homes. I've worked with dogs from all kinds of backgrounds, though many of my fosters have been puppy mill survivors who needed extra patience, understanding, and support as they adjusted to life in a home. I've fostered with several wonderful rescue organizations, including Underdog Rescue, MidAmerica Boston Terrier Rescue, Minneapolis Animal Control, and Coco's Heart. Through fostering, I've gained experience with dogs of different ages, personalities, energy levels, and behavioral needs. I've also fostered blind and deaf dogs. I have experience administering oral medications, eye drops and topicals. Since losing my job in February, I've decided to focus on Rover full-time. The upside for your dog is that I'm home most of the day and can provide plenty of supervision, companionship, potty breaks, and attention. I live in a first-floor duplex in South Minneapolis with a fully fenced yard. I share my home with two friendly dogs: a senior blind Boston Terrier and a playful 3-year-old who loves having the right playmate. Because we've welcomed so many foster dogs into our home over the years, both of my dogs are comfortable meeting new canine friends and are adaptable to different personalities and energy levels. My younger dog is a swimmer, so during the summer we love visiting the dog park at Minnehaha Falls. If your dog enjoys adventures, has reliable recall, and you'd be comfortable with it, I'd be happy to bring them along! I want visiting dogs to feel as comfortable as possible, so I try to maintain the routines they're used to at home. Dogs are welcome on the furniture, and I'm flexible when it comes to crating, sleeping arrangements, and daily routines. If your dog normally sleeps in bed with their people, they're welcome to sleep with me too. While I do take my dogs on walks several times a week, daily walks are not part of our regular routine. If your dog requires daily walks, please let me know at the time of booking so we can discuss their needs and make sure we're a good fit. I provide regular photo updates so you can relax knowing your dog is happy, safe, and having a great time. A few things to know before booking: • While I am home most of the time, there are occasional events or commitments that may keep me away for 4+ hours. I will do my best to communicate this ahead of time, but please let me know if your dog cannot be left alone for that length of time so I can confirm my schedule before accepting a booking. To ensure a safe and comfortable environment for everyone, my home is generally the best fit for dogs who are: • Comfortable in a relatively calm household. Very high-energy dogs can be stressful for my senior dog, who is blind. • Reasonably quiet when left alone. Normal barking at delivery drivers or unfamiliar noises is completely fine. However, because I live in a duplex with shared walls, I am unable to host dogs who bark continuously when alone or throughout the night. My goal is to make your dog feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away, and I'm always happy to answer questions to help determine if we're the right fit for each other. My goal is to give your pet a safe, loving, stress free home where they feel truly cared for while you're away. Each dog in my care receives personalized attention and love. I’m happy to provide photo updates, and our home is fully prepared for play, rest, and supervision. Every pet in my care enjoys a healthy balance of play, mental stimulation, walks, and quiet time to rest and recharge. Evenings are cozy and relaxed, filled with gentle supervision and snuggles, so pets feel safe, happy, and loved from morning to night. I have a fully fenced yard with secure gate locks to keep pets safe, and I’m happy to make adjustments using leads or harnesses for curious or adventurous pups. I also maintain an up-to-date list of urgent care and emergency veterinary clinics throughout the metro area for added peace of mind. Potential clients are always welcome to schedule a video home tour to see the setup and environment their pet would be in. My home allows for kenneling if needed, and I can provide large and extra large crates. I also offer separate spaces for feeding time and am located near several nearby parks for walks. For cats, I can provide a quiet, separate space if they need time to decompress. In addition to care in my home, I also offer house sitting so pets can remain comfortable in their own environment and routines. I’m located about 15 minutes from MSP Airport, which many traveling pet parents find convenient for drop-off and pick-up. Street parking is available in the area, and rideshares to the airport are typically around $20.

About: I've taken care of cats for most of my life and volunteered at an animal shelter for a few years. I've taken care of two cats up into their old ages of 16 years and 19 years old each, both living healthy, happy, comfortable lives indoors. They were shorthaired cats, named Morris and Edward. Morris was a wild rez cat, he was very silly, small, buff black cat who grew just a little bit fat in his old age, and since he was young he's had a slightly shorter, stubbed tip tail and a frostbitten ear. Edward was a rescued wild barncat from the farmlands outside of Wrenshall, a big, lean, and smart gray cat. They both lived very happily together under my care and the care of my parents and grandparents for their entire lives. I have two cats, the oldest is 5 years old, her name is Charwee, and the youngest is 2 years old, his name is Riggsatoni. They are both longhaired cats, with Charwee being a near-black tortoiseshell with a golden ruff, left foot, and a series of golden freckles across her face like a galaxy, finishing with a "shooting star" out of her left ear. Riggs is an dusty orange and white mask-and-mantle, taller than his new friend, Charwee, but with just as much fur and sweetness as she has. He's still getting the hang of being part of our household, as he's been with me since November 2025. I've also managed to train my 5 year old cat a variety of tricks and help behaviors, such as: She reminds me to take my medications if I've not gotten to it yet. She can also do two variations of a "stand" trick, complete the "spin" trick in both directions, and understands her "left" and "right" sides after training her the "touch" and "high five" tricks, meaning you can ask her for a "left paw touch" and she'll give you one. She is also trained to walk on harness. I am in process of training my youngest 2 year old cat to get him used to his harness, and even considering training him with tricks as well, but I am also giving him time to get used to his new home with my boyfriend and I. I have lived with both shorthair and longhair cats, and I've managed to trim claws with little issue for most cats; granted, some cats are obviously not always going to be comfortable with claw trims, and therefore, in my experience, it has been better for their mental state to only do one claw every five to thirty minutes, and reassure them that they're okay with giving them pets, play, and treats, or even their personal space if they desire instead, with gentle speak to remind them they still need their "spaw" day, because no one wants their nails embedded into their pads. For very short times over the course of my 26 years, I have also taken care of dogs every now and again, and even managed to train them how to handle claw trims or do some tricks. I once even had a pair of two mixed shepherd pups, picked up from my reservation, and managed to train them to follow off-leash, accept claw trims, wear harnesses, do a few tricks, and even accept baths in the short time that I was taking care of them. I'm flexible as I'm currently unemployed and job-hunting. I'm often awake at 7am but I don't become more active until 8am, and from then I'm available until 9pm. I'm usually observing body language, often consciously listening to vocal cues, and being mindful while learning about other's pet's behaviors and preferences, paying attention to any possible wants or needs via observing body languages; a few examples I can provide is when my cats point their bodies towards their bowls and indicate to me that something isn't full enough and needs more food or water, or when they indicate they want to play with me and not the other cat, or when they use their paws to touch things that have something they want inside of them, like a bag of treats or a drawer that contains the treats.
“Analia did an excellent job with my dog. She was a great communicator, punctual, and attentive. Kiki loved walking with her and her dog. Thank you! Highly recommend!”

“Kayleah did a great job with our very large and energetic Shepherd mix! Her communication was excellent, and Dawson was always excited to see her. Next time we need a dog walker, we’ll definitely reach out!”

“Caroline was a great dog sitter! She was extremely detailed, thorough, sweet with Ruby, and a great communicator. Would love her to take care of Ruby again!”

“We again have used Lisa to check in, feed and walk our dogs. She’s amazing. We’ve hired her many times and will do so again. We highly recommend her!”

“Ava was awesome! She had to walk my dog after dark, She made sure he went #2 before bringing him back. I would highly recommend her and will use her in the future for other services.”

“I knew from the moment I met her that Johanna had an excellent understanding of dog behavior. We hired her to walk our puppy, Edgar several times a week. He is a boisterous 120lb Leonberger puppy whose size and energy have been difficult for less experienced sitters. On meeting Edgar, Johanna immediately and calmly redirected our puppy into appropriate behavior and rewarded it. She is professional, punctual and an excellent communicator. Edgar not only loves her, he respects her. After 6 walks, my husband and I decided to hire Johanna for regular weekly walks - even though we weren’t planning to - because when you find someone this good, you find ways to support them and maintain a relationship. If you are looking for someone who is calm, knowledgeable, and respectful of you and your dog, we highly recommend Johanna.”

About: Over the course of my life, I have taken care of two cats and one dog. I am a responsible and attentive towards all animals in my care, and strive to make them as comfortable as possible. I am also an excellent communicator! I am currently working part time, so I have availability weekday afternoons/evenings! I am also flexible about doing work on weekend. I am excited to work with you :) I can only pet-sit in other homes, my home is not a suitable place for a pet to stay. I am excellent at communicating and following directions, so when I stay with your pet they will be well-loved and comfortable.
“Molly was such a joy to work with and went above and beyond to give our dog a much needed break and extra attention in the middle of the day. We will use her again in a heartbeat!”

About: I have always had dogs in my life and became the extended family pet-sitter in my early teen years. My care ranges from puppies to senior dogs. I am not a certified trainer but I follow any rules, skills or tricks your dog has developed or is working on. I have had 8 dogs in my lifetime. My oldest dog lived to be 15.5 years old. I've cared for dogs with medical needs - kidney disease, seizures, hip dysplasia, depression and anxiety. I have administered medication in all forms. I work remotely from home on a flexible schedule. My availability is not restricted. I am available at all times during the day and night for bathroom breaks, walks or any other care that is needed. At my home, I have a 6-foot privacy fence. Your dog will be safe in my space. Besides being able to roam in the backyard, I enjoy any type of walk - snifari, gentle stroll, get the heart rate going or a pee and poo mission. Rain, snow or full sun - I am willing to get moving. Furniture is available for lounging plus multiple dog beds throughout the house. A dog-bed right next to my desk at home, absolutely! If your dog is crate trained, I have a quiet space for set up. In your home, I will abide my your rules and schedule. In my home, I have two cats. Your dog must get along with cats.
About: I’ve had different breeds of both cats and dogs throughout my entire childhood so I understand the responsibilities needed to properly take care of a variety of pets. My parents have also been on Rover for a couple of years and I alway love helping them out! This also means I understand the apps processes and how to navigate it. I’m a college student at Macalester college, so right now I’m on summer break. I am flexible with owners schedules and willing to driving all around the metro for visits or at home stays! I can do whatever the owner feels is necessary for their pet. Whether it’s putting pets into crates, or active play, or if meals need to be more hands on, I feel comfortable caring for them in pretty much any situation. I don’t have much experience caring for dogs with special needs, so some animals who need that type of assistance might be out of the realm of care I can provide.
“Sophie has been an extremely reliable dog walker for our pup over the past 5 months! She was great at managing his high energy levels and figuring out a play/walk routine that worked well for them both. We are very grateful for her services!”

About: I grew up with cats and dogs, and I've got two cats and a doggo of my own. I'll treat your pup like their part of my pack. I'm working from home on Mondays and in the office on Tuesday and Wednesday. I can come home over lunch if boarding during the week. I have a fenced in yard and a great neighborhood for taking walks. I can provide a separate room for pets, as well as a crate, if needed.
About: I DO NOT JUST DROP IN For extended stay house sitting I will adjust my service radius. I know a lot of people do this for extra income, I am a nurse and that is the job I do when I need to for extra income. I’m very passionate about the right of an owner feeling confident and not occupied wondering if someone is there. I don’t leave animals alone at night unless you specifically say so. I have a lot of experience with geriatric animals as well as anxious, barky dogs, cats with mental issues, chickens, exotic animals; reptiles such as large snakes and lizards, spiders, 🕷️ little furry friends, hedgehogs, fish, toucans, macaws, parrots, small birds and ferrets to name a few. I was 6 when I started my first job! It was banging on your door and (without any introductions) yelling excitedly.. “DO YOU HAVE A DOG HOW MANY? ARE YOU CAT PEOPLE!? IS IT NICE ? CAN I WALK IT ? WHATS ITS NAME ? CAN I GIVE IT TREATS ? PEOPLE FOOD ? And yes that was ALL one sentence no response necessary as I welcomed myself further into your house to look for said dog…cat or leash and your cookie jar which led me to my next question; “do you have any cookies or cakes I can have?” .🤦🏻♀️ Luckily I was just cute and outgoing enough to be welcomed over to play with the pets and tire them out for you! One day you would find me in your (locked or out of reach handle) SIX FOO TALL FENCED INI yard with your dogs or waiting for you to open the door I WAS OBSESSED 😬 eventually when you saw my strong bond and trust with your fur-balls you thought might not like kids…..I WAS IN!! Official dog walker with a new addition to my schedule. Which admittedly did lead to neighborhood search parties for your dog, thinking it ran away from the little girl two young to take care of it! (sorry Fur parents) they were actually sitting with me in my bedroom on my bed/refrigerator box made in to my dog fort (eating approved treats only!!) at my lame goldfish tank petless house. Just 7 wild sisters I couldn’t even trade for one dog!? Come on DAD! Anyways it’s a passion and a hobby, I have trained puppies have several weeks old to sit shake and lay down within a short period of time, I took my Aunt’s dogs always to doggy daycare and as an adult my past babies to fully owner trained facilities, I am a nurse of 14 years so I have all the BLS credentials as well as ACLS medical training, medication knowledge and after so many 20+ year old cats and dogs (my aunt really kept them happy!!) i’ve given just about every injection topical oral anal glandular ointment insulin you anti parasitic viral fungal and nasal! Yea nasal medication there is. At times living with my aunt who always had at least two dogs….and 5 cats…and a squirrel maybe some fish or my secret pet rat she knew nothing about (and was an actual wild rat I befriended) god I hope she doesn’t read this…now at 33 I am comfortable with “very pet friendly” houses, clutter or hoarding does not bother me as I grew up in many different homes and usually had multiple animals ranging from fish, Burmese pythons birds mice dragons, lizards, sometimes ending up, not being able to feed a certain animal to another animal that end up with rodents that I purchased as food and now purchase food to feed… It gets complicated smell does not bother me and I have no allergies, I have no pets myself, but I’m sure I will as my daughter gets older. My daughter who was obviously switched at birth because she does not enjoy dogs or most animals for that matter 🤔if she didn’t look like me, I would swear they made a mistake!! I am an on-call Emergency nurse I make my own schedule. I don’t work for anyone but you when I watch your family member(s) I! am flexible with availability, I love animals and offer free grooming in your home for any candidates as well as wound care, med management, and oh yea ALL THE CUDDLES. I can get them to appointments if needed, as a first responder and nurse of 14 years I am very adept at recognizing any signs of distress, distrust, or pain. I have been able to safely manage situations that so quickly could have went bad by recognizing slight stance variation, a quick glance or change in affect on your baby. Typically if someone is noticeably obnoxious (or a kid with no training comes and puts its sticky hand in front of your babes face randomly while on a walk…I would expect nothing less and therefore am prepared. Hey we can’t all get along all the time right? For extended care with any animals that have separation anxiety or disabilities I prefer to care for animals in their home environment. Humans usually prefer this way and animals do as well, it limits anxieties and unknown. There’s at least familiarity and their own controlled routine. I do not mind doing doggy daycare or boarding a Young rambunctious pup that may not be bonded to an environment yet But typically they are so much more comfortable in their home, and you have peace of mind when you are away that not only your babies are being watched, but your property as well. As a basic care provider as well as certifications and years of being an emergency responder, safety is first. First and foremost. That applies to living beings first as well as home and surroundings. Knowing the correct commands and the rules that kids like to break when parents are away is always important and helps Foster trust and confidence between myself and your pets. Just as children crave structure and routine animals are no different! And if I’m being honest, sometimes easier.
About: I’ve had my family dog, a vizsla for 9 years, in a house that fostered and helped other dogs. As his primary human, I have a lot of experience with high energy, big, clumsy, and loving dogs. Long playtimes, entertaining walks and cozy naps are the norm for me, and guaranteed for your furry friend. When class isn’t in session, my life revolves around my pets. I wake up at 7, feed my cat and myself, and then spend a few hours tending to my responsibilities. My cat and I play chase throughout the day and cuddle, I take walks outside and enjoy nature, and in the evening I cook and clean for myself, before settling in with a show or book with my cat. I always check to ensure any tempting packaging or food is out of reach, clean thoroughly to avoid any hygiene or contamination issues, follow instructions to the letter.
