“This was the second time Molly catsat my two cats and it was great. Molly is so sweet and my cats love her! It makes me feel better to know they're in good hands when I'm out of town!”

“Sophie went out of her way to ensure I could see my skittish cat during each visit and got some funny pictures of him along the way. Definitely wasn't needed but much appreciated!”

“Kaelyn was great watching our cat while we were out of town! She was responsive and prompt and we came home to a happy cat, we'd definitely recommend her!”

“Carley was great! She was always on time (except for when she had a family emergency and she told me about it and my cats got fed a couple hours late so no big deal). I gave her quite a lot of specific instructions and she followed them well! She also kept me informed of what was going on with my cats and sent lots of pictures. She was also very responsive. Would definitely hire her again!”

“Sara has sat with my 2 fur babies twice now and she does an amazing job! They immediately were drawn to her even my 21 year old cat! I would highly recommend her to take care of your cats, you won't regret it!”

“Joel provided us with fantastic updates along with a handful of pictures each time he visited our cat, Kobe. His notes briefly detailed Kobe’s behavior, which reassured us that Kobe was acting like his normal self and not overtly distressed in our absence. Also, extra kudos to Joel for cleaning all the wet food bowls so we didn’t come home to a sink full of dishes! We most certainly will utilize Joel’s services again the next time we are out of town.”

“This was our first experience using Rover. Thank you for making it so easy. Macy S was the best! She was so polite and conscientious. She sent the cutest pictures of our cats warming up to her and it made us feel relieved they were safe so we could enjoy our time away from them. Overall very positive experience. Would use Rover again.”

About: I've cared for two dogs as I grew up, and look forward to caring for more. I have done many long walks and dog park hiking with my golden doodle, and have also done some training as well. I know how to take care of puppies and adult dogs, but would love to learn how to take care of special needs and senior dogs. Dogs, like mine, are energetic and need lots of exercise, so I am always willing to play or exercise with dogs. Over the summer (June-August), I am free most afternoons and some evenings the whole week. During the school year, (September-May) I am more available during the weekends, but still free during some afternoon/evenings during the week, which I'll update as I get my schedule. At home, I care for my dog by giving him plenty of snuggles, but also getting up and playing with him when he lets me know he wants to play. I am alert and can sense what my dog may need, such as going potty, playing, or eating. When walking/going to the dog park, I watch over my dog at all times, and walk along with him. During walks, I make sure that he is safe to walk and sniff the whole time. At dog parks, I encourage him to meet other dogs and run around while still being present. I notice when my dog gets tired or needs water, and I am prepared by bringing a water bottle.
About: I've taken care of cats for most of my life and volunteered at an animal shelter for a few years. I've taken care of two cats up into their old ages of 16 years and 19 years old each, both living healthy, happy, comfortable lives indoors. They were shorthaired cats, named Morris and Edward. Morris was a wild rez cat, he was very silly, small, buff black cat who grew just a little bit fat in his old age, and since he was young he's had a slightly shorter, stubbed tip tail and a frostbitten ear. Edward was a rescued wild barncat from the farmlands outside of Wrenshall, a big, lean, and smart gray cat. They both lived very happily together under my care and the care of my parents and grandparents for their entire lives. I have two cats, the oldest is 5 years old, her name is Charwee, and the youngest is 2 years old, his name is Riggsatoni. They are both longhaired cats, with Charwee being a near-black tortoiseshell with a golden ruff, left foot, and a series of golden freckles across her face like a galaxy, finishing with a "shooting star" out of her left ear. Riggs is an dusty orange and white mask-and-mantle, taller than his new friend, Charwee, but with just as much fur and sweetness as she has. He's still getting the hang of being part of our household, as he's been with me since November 2025. I've also managed to train my 5 year old cat a variety of tricks and help behaviors, such as: She reminds me to take my medications if I've not gotten to it yet. She can also do two variations of a "stand" trick, complete the "spin" trick in both directions, and understands her "left" and "right" sides after training her the "touch" and "high five" tricks, meaning you can ask her for a "left paw touch" and she'll give you one. She is also trained to walk on harness. I am in process of training my youngest 2 year old cat to get him used to his harness, and even considering training him with tricks as well, but I am also giving him time to get used to his new home with my boyfriend and I. I have lived with both shorthair and longhair cats, and I've managed to trim claws with little issue for most cats; granted, some cats are obviously not always going to be comfortable with claw trims, and therefore, in my experience, it has been better for their mental state to only do one claw every five to thirty minutes, and reassure them that they're okay with giving them pets, play, and treats, or even their personal space if they desire instead, with gentle speak to remind them they still need their "spaw" day, because no one wants their nails embedded into their pads. For very short times over the course of my 26 years, I have also taken care of dogs every now and again, and even managed to train them how to handle claw trims or do some tricks. I once even had a pair of two mixed shepherd pups, picked up from my reservation, and managed to train them to follow off-leash, accept claw trims, wear harnesses, do a few tricks, and even accept baths in the short time that I was taking care of them. I'm pretty open as I'm unemployed at this moment. I will admit that I don't quite know bus routes yet in St. Paul and Minneapolis, but I am able to use Maps and drive or walk to locations as needed. I'm usually observing body language, often consciously listening to vocal cues, and being mindful while learning about other's pet's behaviors and preferences, paying attention to any possible wants or needs via observing body languages; a few examples I can provide is when my cats point their bodies towards their bowls and indicate to me that something isn't full enough and needs more food or water, or when they indicate they want to play with me and not the other cat, or when they use their paws to touch things that have something they want inside of them, like a bag of treats or a drawer that contains the treats.
“Lillian was lovely! She took time to come meet my cat and take notes for his care before her sit; she followed up with pictures after each visit and was happy to bring packages inside for me!”

“Hannah was absolutely fantastic with our pups over the weekend! She did great with administering oral medication to our senior dog and arrived on time and stayed the full length of the visit for every visit. Our dogs love her and we can’t wait to book with her next time!”

“Brianna is awesome! She took excellent care of our old and somewhat particular dog! Brianna was a regular walker for us when we had long work days and when we got home at night our dog was happy, sleepy, and relaxed. Brianna sent fantastic updates including photos. She also made sure his water dish was full and gave him a snack before she left. Book Brianna - she's great!”

“Daniel has experience with dogs, and recently had a drop in visit for my Great Dane, Lola, and her sister, Smiley. Daniel is responsive and reliable! We will rebook with Daniel and highly recommend!”

“Abigail was wonderful with my boys, and very communicative each time she dropped in to care for them. It was a holiday week so I was very happy to have gotten her booked.”

“Lisa was great! I’ve never used Rover before so this was the perfect first time experience. She communicated whenever she could, and was cautious and patient with my nervous kitty. Everything was beyond expected!”

Merrlam Park pet parents share their Rover experiences
Carley was great! She was always on time (except for when she had a family emergency and she told me about it and my cats got fed a couple hours late so no big deal). I gave her quite a lot of specific instructions and she followed them well! She also kept me informed of what was going on with my cats and sent lots of pictures. She was also very responsive. Would definitely hire her again!

Annika made my first Rover experience so pleasant. She took so many photos and kept me updated with sweet notes on how my cat was doing. Annika fed my cat her oral medication with no issues. I was able to really relax during my vacation knowing Penny was in good hands. She went above and beyond to keep things neat and tidy. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and would love to rebook in the future. Thank you!!!

Theo goes above and beyond when watching my kitty Casper. He takes very good care of Casper, checks for any medical concerns, plays with him, and gives him lots of love and pets. Theo is very reliable and truly cares for the animals he watches. I would give him 10 stars if I could!

Brianna is awesome! Book Brianna - she's great!

Alex kept us informed during each visit and made everything work with their work schedule. Our cats were very at ease with Alex and they even gave our kitties extra cuddles beyond the visit time when one of our kitties decided to be a ‘late snuggler’. We would 100% book again with Alex!

Mara was our first in home sitter for our 2 cats. She was very good about sending updates and pictures of her visits. We came home to very relaxed cats. We are very happy with our experience with Rover and Mara! We will definitely rebook with them and Mara again. Also, was happy with their cost for their service.

Hannah was a miracle worker! My kitties absolutely adored her and she sent helpful photos and updates. She is very responsible and communicative, and obviously very capable with animals. I would have her back in a heartbeat! Thank you for treating my babies like you’re own!!!

My dog Maggie grew comfortable with Hailey almost immediately. Hailey possesses a very calm and poised demeanor, perfect for our reactive dog. It's obvious that Hailey is very comfortable around animals, showing excellent attentiveness and situational awareness with Maggie. I recommend Hailey as a dog sitter!
