“I had a great experience with Lindsey. She setup a time to meet with me and my cat to talk through his needs and be introduced. She kept me informed while I was away with pictures and updates about my cat, which made me feel much better about leaving my pet alone.”

About: Hi neighbors! My name is Jordan and I have been living in Highland Park for over 2 years now. I have lived with at least 1 dog for all but 4 years of my life and I can confidently say I never want to live without a dog again! For a moment, I worked at an animal hospital, and though I couldn’t handle all of the sadness and loss that went along with the job, it did teach me a lot, including dog and cat CPR. Thankfully, I’ve never had to use those skills, but I take comfort in having that knowledge. I also drive, so if there is any emergency, I would have the ability to take your fur baby to an emergency vet. I have a special place in my heart for senior animals, as I have a 15 year old Chihuahua with dementia, Ziva. I’m also familiar with giving medications, including giving injections. Not only do I love dogs, but I love cats and other critters as well, so I am open to helping with all sorts of furry friends! Currently, my weekdays are fairly open. On Mondays, I’m free after 3:30pm. On Wednesdays, I’m free before 11am and after 3:30pm. Tuesdays and Thursdays are pretty open. This will vary from time to time. I am not available Saturdays and Sundays. Please let me know all special instructions ahead of time, so I can make accommodations if necessary, and please do your best to check your phone periodically, in case of emergencies. I feel the most comfortable with the leash always on when your pup is outside, unless, completely fenced in on your own property. I would hate for them to get away and/or something to happen to them while in my care. Please let me know if I can stay a minute to give your fur babies some extra love and attention! I would be more than happy to do that, but no pressure! :)
“Elizabeth was great! She sent great notes about each visit, shared cute photos with us and helped us while we were out of town. We will definitely be using Elizabeth again, as she was very responsive, loved our furbabies, and did a great job for us.”

About: Growing up with a family dog and currently sharing my home with three wonderful cats has given me a deep understanding of animal behavior and needs. I am very patient and kind, and I treat every animal with the respect and love they deserve. Whether it's a leisurely walk, playtime, or simply providing companionship during a home visit, I'll ensure your pet's comfort and well-being. While I work a full-time hybrid schedule, my primary work location is from home, providing me with significant flexibility throughout the day. I am eager to accommodate your pet's needs, and I encourage you to contact me to discuss your requirements and scheduling preferences, ensuring we find a time that works for both of us. While I will be providing services at your home, I believe it's important to mention that I am a calm and respectful person, and will treat your home with care.
“Jennifer took great care with my dog while I was away. She not only provided me with a report but with cute photos of my pet. The reports were thorough and concise.”

“Amy was great & I didn't worry about a thing while she was looking after Freyja & Sepp this last weekend! She has a great rapport with my "kids" & I will definitely use her again! Thanks Amy- from all 3 of us!”

“Brianna was great with our dogs. Great communication while we were gone and followed through with all our requests. We will definitely call on Brianna for future dog walks/check ins. Chris and Toni”

About: Andrew grew up taking care of family dogs, and Katie grew up caring for family cats. Together, our family had a dog for over 12 years who recently passed away. We love animals and find joy in caring for them! Katie works full time from home so is available to take wonderful care of your pet! On the weekends, our entire family is home and can provide care and plenty of time for play for your pet! We have a fenced in yard and currently no animals of our own in our house. We are also available to come to your home for walks or to spend time with your pet during the day.
“Lisa took great care of my dog. She sent a couple videos of her zooming around the backyard (showing off) plus a reassuring snapshot of her safely back in her pen with a nice soup bone. Made my night out a much more relaxing time – knowing my pup was in very capable hands.”

“Kaelyn was great! Her availability was up to date which made hiring at the last minute easy. She played with our pets and took great care of them, I loved the photos! I’ll definitely book her again!”

About: As a community oriented dog-lover, I strive to provide excellent service to both you and your furry friends! I have taken care of dogs or all kinds since I was young from Duck Tolling Retrievers, Cavaliers, Terriers, and plenty of our rescue mixes. I am an avid walker and love taking dogs out on their own personalized strolls. I have raised several puppies into confident dogs, been patient with the shy and the elderly, and am ready to play with rough housers. I am in a unique situation of flexible working hours to be available for your pets and you. Need sitting for a small mammal or reptile? Reach out! I have experience in all sorts of small friends! I am a full time real estate agent which means my hours are flexible. Most of my work is done right from home and my days are neatly scheduled to make sure when I need to be out of the house, I will be able to return within a few hours. My schedule will only be open so long as I have the time to care for your pet in my home without too many hours away. If you are boarding your dog, rest assured, they will be comfortable and safe with me. I live in a secure condominium that has been pet-proofed since day one with a live-in Cavalier who is gentle as a lamb. Dogs will never be taken out without a leash and will never interact with anything outside of the home without my supervision. With my schedule, they will be taken out many times throughout the day and can be kept on any feeding schedule you require.
“Abigail was wonderful with my boys, and very communicative each time she dropped in to care for them. It was a holiday week so I was very happy to have gotten her booked.”

“Katie was great, she came through on a somewhat last minute request when my prior sitter was no longer available, and made it work! I came home to a pretty mellow kitty and had the ease of knowing she was getting some love while I was away. No complaints!!”

“Joel did a wonderful job AGAIN watching my cat while I was gone for almost two weeks! He even made extra drop ins to check on my cat to make sure he was comfortable and well taken care of. I highly recommend Joel as a pet sitter!”

“Our dogs are happy when we leave so they can have their BFF Sharron come to play! Wipes away the guilt of being away when they feel like they’re on their own vacation.”

“Daniel has experience with dogs, and recently had a drop in visit for my Great Dane, Lola, and her sister, Smiley. Daniel is responsive and reliable! We will rebook with Daniel and highly recommend!”

About: I've taken care of cats for most of my life and volunteered at an animal shelter for a few years. I've taken care of two cats up into their old ages of 16 years and 19 years old each, both living healthy, happy, comfortable lives indoors. They were shorthaired cats, named Morris and Edward. Morris was a wild rez cat, he was very silly, small, buff black cat who grew just a little bit fat in his old age, and since he was young he's had a slightly shorter, stubbed tip tail and a frostbitten ear. Edward was a rescued wild barncat from the farmlands outside of Wrenshall, a big, lean, and smart gray cat. They both lived very happily together under my care and the care of my parents and grandparents for their entire lives. I have two cats, the oldest is 5 years old, her name is Charwee, and the youngest is 2 years old, his name is Riggsatoni. They are both longhaired cats, with Charwee being a near-black tortoiseshell with a golden ruff, left foot, and a series of golden freckles across her face like a galaxy, finishing with a "shooting star" out of her left ear. Riggs is an dusty orange and white mask-and-mantle, taller than his new friend, Charwee, but with just as much fur and sweetness as she has. He's still getting the hang of being part of our household, as he's been with me since November 2025. I've also managed to train my 5 year old cat a variety of tricks and help behaviors, such as: She reminds me to take my medications if I've not gotten to it yet. She can also do two variations of a "stand" trick, complete the "spin" trick in both directions, and understands her "left" and "right" sides after training her the "touch" and "high five" tricks, meaning you can ask her for a "left paw touch" and she'll give you one. She is also trained to walk on harness. I am in process of training my youngest 2 year old cat to get him used to his harness, and even considering training him with tricks as well, but I am also giving him time to get used to his new home with my boyfriend and I. I have lived with both shorthair and longhair cats, and I've managed to trim claws with little issue for most cats; granted, some cats are obviously not always going to be comfortable with claw trims, and therefore, in my experience, it has been better for their mental state to only do one claw every five to thirty minutes, and reassure them that they're okay with giving them pets, play, and treats, or even their personal space if they desire instead, with gentle speak to remind them they still need their "spaw" day, because no one wants their nails embedded into their pads. For very short times over the course of my 26 years, I have also taken care of dogs every now and again, and even managed to train them how to handle claw trims or do some tricks. I once even had a pair of two mixed shepherd pups, picked up from my reservation, and managed to train them to follow off-leash, accept claw trims, wear harnesses, do a few tricks, and even accept baths in the short time that I was taking care of them. I'm pretty open as I'm unemployed at this moment. I will admit that I don't quite know bus routes yet in St. Paul and Minneapolis, but I am able to use Maps and drive or walk to locations as needed. I'm usually observing body language, often consciously listening to vocal cues, and being mindful while learning about other's pet's behaviors and preferences, paying attention to any possible wants or needs via observing body languages; a few examples I can provide is when my cats point their bodies towards their bowls and indicate to me that something isn't full enough and needs more food or water, or when they indicate they want to play with me and not the other cat, or when they use their paws to touch things that have something they want inside of them, like a bag of treats or a drawer that contains the treats.
Highland pet parents share their Rover experiences
Carley was great! She was always on time (except for when she had a family emergency and she told me about it and my cats got fed a couple hours late so no big deal). I gave her quite a lot of specific instructions and she followed them well! She also kept me informed of what was going on with my cats and sent lots of pictures. She was also very responsive. Would definitely hire her again!

Theo goes above and beyond when watching my kitty Casper. He takes very good care of Casper, checks for any medical concerns, plays with him, and gives him lots of love and pets. Theo is very reliable and truly cares for the animals he watches. I would give him 10 stars if I could!

Brianna is awesome! She took excellent care of our old and somewhat particular dog! Brianna was a regular walker for us when we had long work days and when we got home at night our dog was happy, sleepy, and relaxed. Brianna sent fantastic updates including photos. She also made sure his water dish was full and gave him a snack before she left. Book Brianna - she's great!

Alex kept us informed during each visit and made everything work with their work schedule. Our cats were very at ease with Alex and they even gave our kitties extra cuddles beyond the visit time when one of our kitties decided to be a ‘late snuggler’. We would 100% book again with Alex!

Mara was our first in home sitter for our 2 cats. She was very good about sending updates and pictures of her visits. We came home to very relaxed cats. We are very happy with our experience with Rover and Mara! We will definitely rebook with them and Mara again. Also, was happy with their cost for their service.

Hannah was a miracle worker! My kitties absolutely adored her and she sent helpful photos and updates. She is very responsible and communicative, and obviously very capable with animals. I would have her back in a heartbeat! Thank you for treating my babies like you’re own!!!

My dog Maggie grew comfortable with Hailey almost immediately. Hailey possesses a very calm and poised demeanor, perfect for our reactive dog. It's obvious that Hailey is very comfortable around animals, showing excellent attentiveness and situational awareness with Maggie. I recommend Hailey as a dog sitter!

T.L. loved Elizabeth, they got a long amazingly well. She was able to help me out on a last minute trip and was extremely accommodating in the care of my girl and times to see her. I would definitely rebook and recommend Elizabeth for the care of your animals!

Lacie was wonderful! She did a fantastic job working with my cat, making sure she had plenty of food & water and even playtime & socializing. Lacie also helped with my cat's medication, and had some insights and workarounds when my kitty struggled with it. Thank you, Lacie!
