“Lan took great care of our dog Jorah, while we were away for the weekend, would 100% recommend Lan to anyone in need of a pet sitter and will utilize her in the future! She sent us pictures of Jorah every day and let us know how he was doing! She was always quick to respond as well.”

“Our pug LOVED his 4-day stay with Brenda and her family! Our little guy got along great with her two pit bulls and really bonded with their little boy. The dogs played and ran together in the fenced in yard. Our pug came home happy and ready to nap. Each day, I received a couple of photos with a brief update which I appreciated. This was a short-notice booking, and I am so grateful that Brenda was available. We will definitely arrange dog-sitting with Brenda in the future.”

“Nicole and David were wonderful with our dog, Luna. They were patient with her timid personality and allowed her to come out of her shell in her own time. They updated me frequently of how Luna was getting along and I appreciated their communication.”

“Ellen was great with our pup, Arthur! She made sure he was comfortable in a new space and helped him through a bit of anxiety in the beginning of his stay. She was very communicative and we will definitely be booking with her again!”

Would definitely recommend Robert and plan on using him again in the future.”

“Mckenzie was an amazing host and caretaker for our dog. She was in communication throughout the trip with updates and photos, and she went above and beyond to make sure Auggie was comfortable. We will definitely be using her again!”

“Catherine was excellent with our dog Misiu! She was incredibly attentive, and sent lots of photos and videos throughout our vacation. She allowed him to snuggle with her in bed, which he’s used to. That was very much appreciated. We will definitely rebook with Catherine. Misiu was a happy boy the entire time, we weren’t missed 😆”

“Alexis takes such good care of Henry and clearly knows how to handle him. (He is reactive.) When I dropped him off this time, he was excited to see her. So grateful for her care.”

“I felt very comfortable leaving my fur babies (2 Great Pyrenees) with Deborah while we were on vacation. You can tell that she has a lot of experience with dog care, and she was very attentive and caring with them. The dogs loved her deck and fenced in yard, and we loved the frequent updates and photos. We will definitely be reaching out to Deborah for dog boarding during our next getaway.”
“Rosie was very happy at Kyle’s. We saw some sweet photos of her during her stay. We appreciated your flexibility in picking her up too. Thanks much. We will definitely request to rebook with Kyle.”

“Our dog, Mavis, acts like she’s at her own home when she’s at Rachel’s house. She squeaks with excitement upon arrival and snuggles up to Rachel like she’s her owner. Rachel sends great updates. We are repeat customers and will continue to book.”

“🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Ashley is Incredible! Ashley watched our French Bulldog, Blue Bell, for 5 days, and she was absolutely wonderful! Frenchies definitely come with their own unique quirks and big personalities, but Ashley didn't skip a beat. She completely embraced Blue Bell's quirkiness and made sure she felt comfortable, happy, and loved the entire time. It is such a relief to find a sitter who truly understands and appreciates your dog's individual personality. Ashley is a genuine dog lover—reliable, attentive, and is very knowledgeable about different types of dogs. We will absolutely be using her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for top-tier care!”

“Steven did an excellent job with my dogs. They were happy and healthy when I picked them up. He was really communicative and I appreciated the updates while I was away.”

“Betsy is so wonderful!! She is very considerate and took great care of my pup for the day. She really gets dogs and my dog was sad to leave! I would book her anytime.”

“Barbara treated our sweet girl as her own while we were out of the country for more than a week. The two bonded extremely well and we had complete confidence in Barbara’s caretaking abilities. This included administering medicines and grooming routines. We were so lucky that Barbara was available over the holidays and highly recommend her to others seeking loving care of their pup!”

“Elizabeth is a wonderful pet caregiver. She shows up on time, spends time playing and snuggling, sends photos and follows up regarding any additional pet needs. I hope that she is available whenever I leave town. I would highly recommend her as a caring, trustworthy pet sitter for your family.”

“She did a wonderful job with my guinea pigs. She went above and beyond to make sure they were well taken care of when I was gone. I was nervous about leaving them for an extended period of time as they are older guineas pigs, but she did better than I could have expected. I would highly recommend”

About: Cats have always held an especially special place in my heart. While I truly love all animals, there’s something about cats: their unique personalities, quirky behaviors, and the bond they build with their people. I just can’t get enough! I’ve spent the past two years fostering cats with Twin Cities Pet Rescue, caring for kittens, adult cats, nursing mothers, and cats with a variety of medical and behavioral needs while helping prepare them for adoption. I also volunteered for two years at the Detroit Animal Shelter, caring for cats from many different backgrounds and personalities. These experiences have taught me how to read feline body language, earn the trust of shy, nervous, and even feral cats, and provide compassionate care tailored to each cat’s individual needs. I currently have two sweet&sassy cats of my own, and I grew up in a home with dogs, giving me a lifelong appreciation for animals. I’m experienced administering oral medications, eye medications, and injections, and I’m comfortable caring for senior cats or those with special medical needs. I know how important it is to leave your cat with someone who understands that every cat is different. Whether your cat wants endless playtime, quiet companionship, or simply someone to respect their space while keeping them safe and cared for, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I’ll also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your cat is in good hands.

About: Over the course of my life, I have taken care of two cats and one dog. These experiences have taught me to be responsible and attentive towards all animals in my care. I am also an excellent communicator!

“Beth was great! She was a great communicator and was awesome with my cats. She even got my very shy girl to come out and to accept pets! Will definitely use Beth again!”

About: No matter the size, breed or personality of your pet, earning their trust and friendship (along with your own trust) is my top priority. As a lifelong animal lover, I grew up in a multi-pet household taking care of dogs, birds and small animals. Since then, I have taken care of horses, anoles, cats, parakeets and my curiosity for getting to know an animal's individual personality has only grown over that time. I currently have two dogs: an Australian shepherd and border collie mix, both of whom I raised from puppies by myself. We are an active family, walking/hiking and in general spending time exploring the neighborhood for hours a day, traveling together for camping or cabin vacations in our spare time. It's cliche, but my dogs are truly my family and as a long-time Rover user on the customer side, I understand what it means to have a sitter/walker you can trust while you're away. I love finding people who strive to understand them as individuals and who are sensitive to their needs. My border collie is highly sensitive and I have learned to work within his limits, giving him the stimulation he needs by finding more isolated parks to sniff around, mental challenges inside, etc. that keep him entertained while reducing stress. I am more than comfortable getting to know your own pets' quirks and finding ways to keep their days consistent and stress-free. Pet care is already at the center of my life, as I have two energetic herding dogs. We walk frequently every day to help burn energy -- I like to let my dogs walk at their pace so they can sniff around and stimulate their brains while getting exercise. As someone with pets I understand the importance of trust-building in drop-in visit situations. As your schedule permits, we can meet beforehand via a meet and greet to get a feel for your schedule and space, and how to support your comfort and your pets'. Pets thrive with routine, and I strive to support that.

About: I’m a devoted cat owner with experience caring for cats of different personalities and needs. I provide feeding, fresh water, litter box maintenance, playtime, enrichment, and plenty of patience for shy or anxious cats. I understand the importance of routine and always provide photo updates so owners can feel confident their cats are happy and well cared for while they’re away.
“Katie was great, she came through on a somewhat last minute request when my prior sitter was no longer available, and made it work! I came home to a pretty mellow kitty and had the ease of knowing she was getting some love while I was away. No complaints!!”

About: I grew up with dogs and they are truly my heart and soul. We currently have 2 dogs 2 cats, (although one dog is a part time since they follow shared custody with the teens). We would absolutely love to take in your dog. We both work from home so they would get plenty of loving and attention! I work from home full time, along with my partner who also works from home; so honestly I'm very open. Our own dogs generally are taken out about every 3 hours regardless if they go potty or not. The animals have free range of the house (minus our bed) 😊 I do have a yard, although its not fenced, we have a track or a ground post if your worried about them running away while being outside. We also love to take walks. If they stay close and listen well, I generally stay outside with them. I can easily crate your dog if needed.

With 8 years in animal welfare, I understand behavior and emotions, including noise fears, nervousness with new people, leash reactivity, shy/timid, resource guarding, seniors, puppies, and special needs pets. I also care for cats of all personalities independent explorers, playful toy lovers, and devoted snugglers. My goal is to give your pet a safe, loving, stress free home where they feel truly cared for while you're away. Each dog in my care receives personalized attention and love. When house sitting in your home, I can happily care for up to four dogs, keeping everyone safe, comfortable, and happy in their own home. I’m happy to provide photo updates, and our home is fully prepared for play, rest, and supervision. I’m home during the day, which allows me to provide pets with consistent attention, companionship, and enrichment. Every pet in my care enjoys a healthy balance of play, mental stimulation, walks, and quiet time to rest and recharge. Evenings are cozy and relaxed, filled with gentle supervision and snuggles, so pets feel safe, happy, and loved from morning to night. I have a fully fenced yard with secure gate locks to keep pets safe, and I’m happy to make adjustments using leads or harnesses for curious or adventurous pups. I also maintain an up-to-date list of urgent care and emergency veterinary clinics throughout the metro area for added peace of mind. Potential clients are always welcome to schedule a video home tour to see the setup and environment their pet would be in. My home allows for kenneling if needed, and I can provide large and extra large crates. I also offer separate spaces for feeding time and am located near several nearby parks for walks. For cats, I can provide a quiet, separate space if they need time to decompress. In addition to care in my home, I also offer house sitting so pets can remain comfortable in their own environment and routines. I’m located about 15 minutes from MSP Airport, which many traveling pet parents find convenient for drop-off and pick-up. Street parking is available in the area, and rideshares to the airport are typically around $20.
“Tofte loves doggy daycare with Bethany! He had the zoomies today for the first when he got there which tells me how comfortable he is at her place since we've been having her sit for awhile. 😊”

“Our dog had a great first time visit with Jen! He had lots of other dogs to play with, and I appreciated all the photos and videos Jen shared with us throughout the day. A successful first Rover booking!”

“Stephanie did a great job with my little Zena. She sent me a picture and updates on my baby to assure me how much fun Zena was having. It's hard for me to find a place or a sitter with a dog the size of Zena (5 lbs) and Stephanie made it so easy for me to book her because she had the perfect dogs and space. I'd book with Stephanie again!”

About: I've taken care of cats for most of my life and volunteered at an animal shelter for a few years. I've taken care of two cats up into their old ages of 16 years and 19 years old each, both living healthy, happy, comfortable lives indoors. They were shorthaired cats, named Morris and Edward. Morris was a wild rez cat, he was very silly, small, buff black cat who grew just a little bit fat in his old age, and since he was young he's had a slightly shorter, stubbed tip tail and a frostbitten ear. Edward was a rescued wild barncat from the farmlands outside of Wrenshall, a big, lean, and smart gray cat. They both lived very happily together under my care and the care of my parents and grandparents for their entire lives. I have two cats, the oldest is 5 years old, her name is Charwee, and the youngest is 2 years old, his name is Riggsatoni. They are both longhaired cats, with Charwee being a near-black tortoiseshell with a golden ruff, left foot, and a series of golden freckles across her face like a galaxy, finishing with a "shooting star" out of her left ear. Riggs is an dusty orange and white mask-and-mantle, taller than his new friend, Charwee, but with just as much fur and sweetness as she has. He's still getting the hang of being part of our household, as he's been with me since November 2025. I've also managed to train my 5 year old cat a variety of tricks and help behaviors, such as: She reminds me to take my medications if I've not gotten to it yet. She can also do two variations of a "stand" trick, complete the "spin" trick in both directions, and understands her "left" and "right" sides after training her the "touch" and "high five" tricks, meaning you can ask her for a "left paw touch" and she'll give you one. She is also trained to walk on harness. I am in process of training my youngest 2 year old cat to get him used to his harness, and even considering training him with tricks as well, but I am also giving him time to get used to his new home with my boyfriend and I. I have lived with both shorthair and longhair cats, and I've managed to trim claws with little issue for most cats; granted, some cats are obviously not always going to be comfortable with claw trims, and therefore, in my experience, it has been better for their mental state to only do one claw every five to thirty minutes, and reassure them that they're okay with giving them pets, play, and treats, or even their personal space if they desire instead, with gentle speak to remind them they still need their "spaw" day, because no one wants their nails embedded into their pads. For very short times over the course of my 26 years, I have also taken care of dogs every now and again, and even managed to train them how to handle claw trims or do some tricks. I once even had a pair of two mixed shepherd pups, picked up from my reservation, and managed to train them to follow off-leash, accept claw trims, wear harnesses, do a few tricks, and even accept baths in the short time that I was taking care of them. I'm flexible as I'm currently unemployed and job-hunting. I'm often awake at 7am but I don't become more active until 8am, and from then I'm available until 9pm. I'm usually observing body language, often consciously listening to vocal cues, and being mindful while learning about other's pet's behaviors and preferences, paying attention to any possible wants or needs via observing body languages; a few examples I can provide is when my cats point their bodies towards their bowls and indicate to me that something isn't full enough and needs more food or water, or when they indicate they want to play with me and not the other cat, or when they use their paws to touch things that have something they want inside of them, like a bag of treats or a drawer that contains the treats.
“Amy is absolutely fantastic! Totally reliable, great communication and always shares photos from the walk. We are so grateful for her help caring for our puppy. Can’t recommend her enough!”

“Allison responded so quickly the night before I needed last minute help with Luna during a long work day. We loved seeing all of the photos of their walks. Thanks so much!!”

About: Growing up with 2 dogs, I know the amount of pure joy and giggles all doggies bring to families! I grew up with 2 little Dachshund (wiener) Dogs named Frankie and Lily! They were both so smart and oddly enough thought they could fly! They knew every night at exactly 9pm it was officially SNACK time! As they both aged, I spent much time carrying them up/down stairs, walking them and bringing them to appts such as Vet, Chiro and other therapies. There is no greater experience than coming home to your best friend wagging their tail. My main job is supporting the deaf/hard of hearing in the twin cities. My work experience allows me to get a sense of my surroundings quickly. I have experience house sitting, walking dogs and also taking dogs to vet/grooming appointments. Now I have 2 fur babies Highlander cats, Gracie and Fynn. ❤️ can’t believe I lived so long without my kitty cats!!

About: I got my first dog (Winston) when he was a puppy and have been through it all with him, including puppy training! Although he’s older now, Winston is still full of energy and super playful, so I do well with active and energetic dogs. When he does have his calmer moments, I’m always there for a short walk with lots of stops to lay in the grass! Additionally, I’ve worked with senior dogs in the past. I have experience administering daily oral medication and going for walks with dogs that have mobility issues, such as arthritis and weak knees. I love to go on daily walks, often in the late afternoon or early mornings, and always enjoy the company of a furry friend! On the weekends I am available throughout the whole day for walks and playtime. I have years of experience walking my own dog in a city environment and am always focused on my surroundings, from cars to food on the sidewalk, to ensure his safety and enjoyment. Additionally, I have a lot of experience working with dogs that have anxiety. Winston is very sensitive to certain noises, such as the shuffling of playing cards, so I always make sure to avoid using cards around him. When entering a client’s home, I always make sure to treat the space exactly how I would want my space to be treated; with care and respect.
About: I’ve had different breeds of both cats and dogs throughout my entire childhood so I understand the responsibilities needed to properly take care of a variety of pets. My parents have also been on Rover for a couple of years and I alway love helping them out! This also means I understand the apps processes and how to navigate it. I’m a college student at Macalester college, so right now I’m on summer break. I am flexible with owners schedules and willing to driving all around the metro for visits or at home stays! I can do whatever the owner feels is necessary for their pet. Whether it’s putting pets into crates, or active play, or if meals need to be more hands on, I feel comfortable caring for them in pretty much any situation. I don’t have much experience caring for dogs with special needs, so some animals who need that type of assistance might be out of the realm of care I can provide.
About: Over the course of my life, I have taken care of two cats and one dog. I am a responsible and attentive towards all animals in my care, and strive to make them as comfortable as possible. I am also an excellent communicator! I am currently working part time, so I have availability weekday afternoons/evenings! I am also flexible about doing work on weekend. I am excited to work with you :) I can only pet-sit in other homes, my home is not a suitable place for a pet to stay. I am excellent at communicating and following directions, so when I stay with your pet they will be well-loved and comfortable.

About: I've cared for several family and friend's pets over the years, loving them as my own. I can take dogs on walks, play with them, let them out, and ensure they feel comfortable and safe. I recently started a new job so I'm working out how my new routine will fit in with pet care. I'll be working some days from home so I will have a little bit of flexibility. Each pet has different needs, so I'm here to provide a great environment for your pet! Whether they need frequent short walks, to be let outside, play time, or crate time, I'm here to ensure they are well-cared-for.
About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life and love all dogs, any shape or size! I had a Shih Tzu Maltese while growing up. I’ve volunteered with the animal shelters for 5 years as a dog walker where I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I love playing with dogs and going on walks. I work full time but can check in and walk with your pups in the morning, afternoon and evening. I am free on the weekends to fully devote my time to your fury friend! I have experience working with dogs from all backgrounds from my time working at the animal shelters from shy timid dogs to high energy dogs.
“Analia did an excellent job with my dog. She was a great communicator, punctual, and attentive. Kiki loved walking with her and her dog. Thank you! Highly recommend!”

About: (Rover requires legal names, but please call me Rowan!) I’ve been around dogs constantly since birth. There have only been a few years of my life without any dogs in the house! I work at a dog daycare full time over the summer, so I'm accustomed to both puppies and seniors of all sizes. Over the summers I work full time at Dog Days in St. Paul, and I’m a student at St. Olaf over the school year. My work schedule isn’t the most predictable, but I’m generally available mornings and evenings after 6:30. Dogs are basically furry children. They can’t communicate directly, so they resort to barking, growling, or even biting. I’m experienced in figuring out why a dog is acting out and calming them down before things get out of hand. What looks like “being annoying” is usually boredom, need for water, or anxiety!

About: I have experience caring for dogs (large and small) and have cats of my own. I also have experience caring for rodents, fish, and plants. I love animals, and as a pet owner myself, I do my best to communicate with owners so i can give them the peace of mind that their pets and home are well cared for while they’re away. My flexible schedule allows me to cater to almost every request, making it even easier to ensure that your pets are getting the care you prefer and they deserve. Booking a house sitting with me means I will be at your home with your pet the entire time, unless otherwise specified/requested by you. Since I don’t board in my home, there’s no need to worry about the safety level of a new environment. Any instructions will be carefully followed, and your fur baby will be safe and comfy in their home environment.

About: I am a current cat mom and grew up with an outrageous amount of animals ( at one time we had 4 cats and 2 dogs) and truly made me appreciate all animals. I watched some dogs throughout college and have pet sit for my sister on multiple occasions- i work from home 3 days a week and work super close to home so i would be able to get around quickly if needed. i love walks and usually walk for about an hour to hour and half after work and would love to be able to bring a doggy with me i work full time however only in office 2 days a week - i like to have outside time perfect for dogs to join me especially when it is nice out however a little rain never hurts. i work pretty close to where i live which means being around to take care of any animals is very easy. the weekends are pretty free usually and would love to be able to bring a pup for any adventures to burn some energy or have a cat to hang out with and kill time with some cuddles and possible treats and playing with toys currently having one cat it is pretty easy, she has way too many toys for one cat and has an automatic litter box and food bowl to make it easy sine she likes to wake up at 4am however i make sure she gets a great amount of attention with having play time every night, some other cats or dogs may not be into everything so i like to hang out and see what animals are like before doing new things so i dont stress them out and get them to like me first and be on common ground before starting any negotiations with them about walks or treats or pets

I am not a certified trainer but I follow any rules, skills or tricks your dog has developed or is working on. I have had 8 dogs in my lifetime. My oldest dog lived to be 15.5 years old. I work remotely from home on a flexible schedule. My availability is not restricted. I am available at all times during the day and night for bathroom breaks, walks or any other care that is needed. At my home, I have a 6-foot privacy fence. Your dog will be safe in my space.

“Robert and his wife took excellent care of our dog Jasper over a long weekend. He sent daily updates, which was very appreciated. I can tell that Jasper settled in and felt comfortable there, and he came home relaxed and happy. Thanks!”

“Robert was great with our family dog Izzy. She is truly a member of our family and we always feel bad leaving her behind when we go out of town and Robert did a wonderful job sending pictures and videos to let us know how she is doing.

“Katie did an awesome job taking care of Copper! She did a great job sending updates that included pics and videos. Could tell that he had a great time with her! Would highly recommend.”

“River is the best! She takes such good care of our crazy dogs. She has cared for our dogs multiple times and we’re so happy to bring them to her for the best care. Highly recommended!”

“Amanda and Leif was absolutely wonderful! They welcomed Boba right into her home and even let him sleep on the bed, which he loves and helps him feel totally comfortable. He got plenty of walks, lots of playtime with her little boys to keep him busy, and he came home tired out, happy, and clearly very well-loved. Amanda was also super communicative and sent lots of photos throughout his stay, which really put us at ease since it was his first time staying with her. We definitely will be using Amanda and her sweet family for future stays!”

“Jessica and Grant (and Cooper) are fantastic! They take such great care of our dog, Kirby. Kirby loves spending time with them and playing with Cooper.”

“Julie, Ben and the kids were absolutely amazing! Giving our dog SO MUCH love and snuggles while we were gone. We got updates and pictures about what he was up to and he looked so happy in each one. We would be so lucky to be able to have them care for Odin again!”

“Takenya was very communicative and sent lots of photos. She was patient with Rocket who seemed to have possibly picked up on cats being present or something else with transitioning to his stay and he seemed to eventually calm down and adjust to the environment.”

“My dogs had such a wonderful time with Tristan and his family. It is rare that I don’t worry about how my dogs are doing while away on travel. It was clear from the pictures of my dogs that they were having a great time and were very comfortable with Tristan! I will be booking again in the future!”

“Julie did a great job caring for my dog while we were away for a week. She has a very spacious backyard for dogs to roam and she’s able to give the care and attention your dog needs. I have peace of mind knowing my dog is in good hands when she needs boarding 🙂”

“Our dog Ruby is a sensitive creature and can take a while to warm to new people, but from the photos sent by Julia during our vacation showed Ruby relaxing or on a walk with their dog. She seemed to feel loved! Thank you Julia and Dan!”

“Maeby ended up not staying because she didn't get along well with the other dogs boarding that weekend. Doc was very nice and honest about the whole thing, and I appreciate him protecting all the dog's safety.”
