About: I’ve cared for dogs since my teenage years, from puppies to seniors. Lately, I’ve fostered and adopted senior rescues. I consider dogs some of the most special creatures on Earth. I work full-time from home and love having dog-walking breaks throughout the day. I can sit in your home (as long as there’s wi-fi so I can log into work) or mine. My 15-year old Chihuahua mix passed away recently, so I currently do not have an animal companion in my home, though that doesn’t last very long with me! I do not have a fenced-in yard; however, there is a walking path across the front street of my home and a city park across the street in the back.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats since middle school. There is no better feeling than coming home and hanging out with a pet. As a husky owner I understand the importance of patience, training, respecting a pet’s boundaries and the need for a variety of physical and mental exercise. When I adopted my dog he was still a pup and underweight due to the prior owners negligence. With my previous experience and training from the world class rescue which I adopted him from aided in his recovery and now flourishing life. Every pet has a different personality and preference and I firmly believe that should be respected. Our job as sitters and good humans is to provide comfort for animals while keeping them safe and honoring their individuality. I work from home so keeping your pet company shouldn’t be much of a problem. I am also available most weekends and holidays. I’m more than willing to be flexible and accommodate as much as possible. We have a fenced yard with a multitude of walking paths and dog park near by so depending on your preference we can accommodate your dogs activity preference. We do have a dog and cat so if I am boarding I ask that your pet is both cat and dog friendly. Our dog is crate trained and respectful of the cat’s space so I would expect the same from your pet as well. If I am house sitting, your rules apply I don’t want to disrupt the pets routine.

About: I’m a life long pet lover. Cats have always had my heart, but I grew up with big dogs, so am more than willing to meet your gentle giant! Ideally I can do home visits three times a day, in the morning, early evening and late evenings! However, my schedule is flexible and am open to discussing other times! I do not have the ability to take your pet into my home, but I will come to yours! I will treat your pet with care, I understand it can be scary for them to meet new people. About: No matter the size, breed or personality of your pet, earning their trust and friendship (along with your own trust) is my top priority. I grew up in a multi-pet household taking care of dogs, birds and small animals. Since then, I have taken care of horses, anoles, cats, parakeets and my curiosity for getting to know an animal's individual personality has only grown over that time. I currently have two dogs: an Australian shepherd and border collie mix, both of whom I raised from puppies by myself. We are an active family, walking/hiking and in general spending time exploring the neighborhood for hours a day, traveling together for camping or cabin vacations in our free time. It's cliche, but my dogs are truly my family and as a long-time Rover user on the customer side, I understand what it means to have a sitter/walker you can trust while you're away. I love finding people who strive to understand them as individuals and who are sensitive to their needs. My border collie is highly sensitive and I have learned to work within his limits, giving him the stimulation he needs by finding more isolated parks to sniff around, mental challenges inside, etc. that keep him entertained while reducing stress. I am more than comfortable getting to know your own pets' quirks and finding ways to keep their days consistent and stress-free. Pet care is already at the center of my life, as I have two energetic herding dogs. We walk frequently every day to help burn energy -- I like to let my dogs walk at their pace so they can sniff around and stimulate their brains while getting exercise. As someone with pets I understand the importance of trust-building in drop-in visit situations. As your schedule permits, we can meet beforehand via a meet and greet to get a feel for your schedule and space, and how to support your comfort and your pets'. About: I spent much of my childhood helping neighbors and friends care for their pups. My first “job” was in the sixth grade, when after school I walked my neighbor’s dog every day. Since then, I’ve walked countless four-legged friends of all sizes, energy levels, and ages, spent nights with dogs whose owners were away, checked on them as many times per day as is needed, and anything else in between. I have some experience training my family’s puppy, and I’m comfortable administering simple medication with clear information. To me, the most important part of dog care is understanding what the pup needs and how he or she feels. I am a young adult living in the twin cities and living a simple, quiet life. I work flexible hours at a coffee shop in St. Paul, and love spending time outside, in good conversations, and exploring the area. I don’t have a pet of my own (because of where I live), but pet care is easy to fit into my routine because of how my life looks right now. My current living situation doesn’t allow pets, but the friends I have helped with dog walking or sitting have all gone so very well. I’ve worked with dogs all over the spectrum of age, size, level of training, etc, but have always connected very easily with the dog and develop a level of trust and cooperation quickly.
