“Dawn cared for our 2 one year old Morkie babies for 10 days over the new year holiday while we were on vacation in Aruba. She sent pictures, videos and text updates almost daily. Our babies looked like they were having a ball with all of their new little doggy friends. They were safe, happy and well cared for. They got lots of attention and love. We’ve never been away from our dogs for more than one weekend since we got them, so it was very stressful leaving them for so long. We didn’t want to lock them up in a kennel, so we took a chance on Rover. Our dogs are very small, so we didn’t want them in a place with larger dogs. After having a meet and greet with Dawn, we felt good about leaving our babies with her. The fact that she only cares for small dogs was the deciding factor. We were extremely happy with the care she provided and will definitely use her again. Our sweet little babies had a fun, play vacation of their own. We highly recommend her.”

About: I grew up with cats, dogs, a bearded dragon, and a whole lot of fish. I have a soft spot for spicy cats as I have one of my own. Currently, live in a space where I can't have a dog but if I could it would be a loveable rescue who loves to play and to go on walks. I've taken care of many friends and family pets over the years and excited to make some new furry (and scaly) friends! Through the summer my schedule is very flexible. I work at an elementary school as a reading tutor so during the school year I am available late afternoons/evenings and weekends. I am organized, outgoing, and friendly and as long as you have detailed instructions I feel confident taking care of your pets in your home.

About: I've owned a dog and/or a cat since I left college and once had 3 dogs, 3 cats and 2 children under age 6 in the same house! I worked for a pet sitting business in Virginia for two years and love to observe animals and get to know to know them on their terms. Experience matters with pets and I have that, combined with great communication and common sense. I'm the person you want watching your furry friends when you can't be there. I'm also a photography lover and I'm happy to work to get some good shots of your animals while taking care of them. I'm a semi-retired journalist who often works remotely, so I have plenty of time to pet sit. With my kids in college, my nest is empty except for my Pueto Rican chihuahua mix, Nina. We walk two or three times a day when the weather and my schedule permits. I'll care for your pets as if they were mine. I've owned multiple cats and dogs, from 8 pounds up to 90. If you have the patience and experience, almost every animal will give you clues on how they want to be treated.
