“Van was fantastic with our two dogs while we were on a short weekend trip. The dogs really seemed to like her. She provided ample photos of the activities while we were away. She was respectful of our home and super communicative. Definitely plan to use her again for future dog sitting needs!”

“Meagan did a wonderful job house sitting for Teddy. We came home to a tidy house and a happy dog. She was very attentive to him, provided thorough updates, and was very mindful of his needs as an elderly pup.”

“Jason was communicative, asked thorough questions, and was a good man overall. He met all of the requests we made for the pups and communicated his process with them clearly. Our pups were calm and collected with him. He even sent updates to us. Not only that, but he helped us understand the platform better. I'll definitely request Jason again.”

“Davied is an ideal guardian for your canine beloved. I was able to leave the country and be off grid in perfect security that my pooch would be taken care of. What else could you want? Davied is considerate, responsive and in all ways responsible. And he loves your pets and sends pictures that comfort you. Ahhhh. I am so appreciative.”

“Numi loved her time with Billy and Monica. She was in great spirits when we returned home. Our house was spotless. Billy and Monica sent us regular updates and terrific photos. Highly recommend!”

“Minerva was great! She housesitted for us over Labor Day weekend, and all communications were so clear and easy. I felt very comfortable leaving Mochi in her care. Mochi looked like he was having a great time with her in all the pictures.”

“Karen was amazing watching Reese over the holidays! She made sure her schedule was available to watch him at the times he needed and gave him lots of love while we were away. She communicates well, meaning I never worried about my dog while gone. I came home to a clean house and happy puppy!”

“Yasmin took good care of my dog, Maddie, as well as my house. She was attentive to Maddie’s love of pets and belly rubs, and spent a good amount of time in her company. She followed my dog and house care instructions and asked questions when needing more clarification. I recommend hiring Yasmin!”

“Kelly Jean was wonderful!! She kept in communication throughout the whole stay. My babies were for sure taken care of while we were out. Glad we found her. If you want peace of mind while away from home, Kelly Jean is your person. We would definitely reach out to her next time we need her.”

“Kristy was phenomenal!! My dog, Mochi, was clearly very well taken care of, along with my house. Kristy provided multiple updates throughout the day, was very thorough in her questions about care, and was always responsive. Mochi can be quite reactive to other dogs and Kristy did a great job managing this and letting him have fun on walks. It was truly so nice to have peace of mind during my time away - including over 4th of July! Will be booking again for sure and would highly recommend : )”

“Being a repeat customer is the greatest form of recommendation for a Rover. For the second time, Melissa dog and house sat for me. Melissa is dependable, thoughtful, kind, and a good communicator. I've already booked two other dog sitting stays with Melissa for the summer.”

“Carly was great! Our two boys, Teddy (Dog) and Tucker (Cat), loved her, and she gave us great peace of mind while on our trip. Perfect communication and sent us lots of pics!”

“Maya did a great job taking care of Zeke! She even took him to his favorite park during his usual time so he could play with his friends. I came home to a very happy boy!”

“This was our very first time using Rover and we are beyond thrilled with the level of service we received from SJ. We met with a few different sitters before making a decision and instantly knew she was the right fit when she walked in the door. You can tell she knows how to handle animals, and our two littles loved her. SJ stayed in our home and was extremely flexible when our flight home was delayed. The rumors are true, she totally cleaned the house which was amazing to come home to after a long day of travel. We received frequent updates about the dogs and their daily activities and knew that they were in the best hands. We cannot recommend SJ enough and will definitely be booking her again if she will have us.”

“We are so happy we found Grace! She made sure our cat and dog were well taken care of and she sent us photos throughout each day of our trip. I was so appreciative to come back to a well tidied home as well. I highly recommend her!”

“Myranda did an amazing job watching Sunny. We got updates on how he was doing and when we came home we could see how happy and relaxed he was. We know he was really well looked after. And Myranda did a great job keeping our house in order. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely book with her again next time we travel. Thank you Myranda!”

“My dog has loved boarding will Elle for several years, but this was our first time with house-sitting. Elle was a great house guest! Everything was left super clean, nicer than it started. Elle took the time to listen to listen to all my instructions through a long tour of the house on the first day. She made sure to send me updates that evening after I nervously left my dog behind, as well as throughout the stay, of the fun things they were doing together.”

“Caleb loooked after our 7-month old Golden Retriver puppy and pet rabbit for 4 days and did a fantastic job! He spent tons of quality time with the animals (lots of walks and time playing outside for the puppy, and pets for the bunny) the house was spotless when we returned home. We would recommend Caleb and will certainly look to book him again when we have a need for a house sitter!”

“Tyler was great with our dog! I appreciated her meeting us in advance to introduce her to our dog and her care information. I loved her daily check in updates with photos, Remi seemed to love her!”

North College Park pet parents share their Rover experiences
Sebastian is an exceptional dog sitter who took incredible care of our two elderly dogs. He communicated effectively and went above and beyond our expectations. I felt completely at ease knowing that our dogs were in capable hands. Sebastian is professional, clean, and detail-oriented in his care. He managed to administer medications and feed our hypoglycemic dog at the right times, ensuring their health and well-being. He was also incredibly loving, attentive, and gentle with our dogs and kept the house very tidy. We recently moved here from Texas and were initially hesitant to hire a new sitter because we had a long-standing relationship with our previous one. However, Sebastian proved to be the absolute best, putting my mind at ease with regular updates and photos. If you’re looking for a kind, caring, and trustworthy dog sitter, I highly recommend Sebastian.

Rachel is an actual angel and a consummate professional, and deserves more than five stars. Our cat Amira is challenging, to say the least - she has diabetes, asthma, hyperthyroidism, and pancreatitis, and requires multiple medications every twelve hours, including insulin injections and an inhaler. She also needs her blood glucose monitored pretty closely because of the complex nature of pancreatogenic diabetes. As if that wasn't enough, she's an intelligent, temperamental cat who can be very difficult to medicate. (Sometimes I think the shelter made a mistake and let us go home with a panther instead of a housecat.) We normally don't travel much, because it is so hard to find adequate care for a cat who is both fragile in health and willful in personality. In our previous city, we did eventually find a great pet sitter who was able to meet Amira's needs and enabled us to travel a little more. With that in mind, we planned a week-long elopement/honeymoon in Hawaii. Then we moved to a new state.. and had about two months to find a new pet sitter to care for our complicated cat during one of the longest and most crucial trips of our lives. We talked to at least a dozen different pet sitters, but Rachel was immediately a standout. It was clear from the start that she knows cats inside and out, and we are so grateful to have found her. While we were gone, she truly treated Amira as though she were her own cat. She quickly picked up on the nuances of Amira's personality, and was extremely attentive to her health and well-being. Pretty quickly into Rachel's stay with Amira, we collectively discovered that Amira is very resistant to letting anyone other than her parents do blood glucose tests with an AlphaTrak glucometer. That meant that the only way to monitor her blood glucose would be to have a CGM applied. Rachel got the CGM application appointment scheduled on her own, took Amira to the vet, figured out the CGM setup on her phone, and basically handled the whole thing super smoothly and calmly, without needing any hand-holding from us (which was very appreciated, since this happened to unfold on the day before and day of our wedding). This was pretty much the trend throughout the stay - Rachel proved herself to be a great communicator, highly knowledgeable about feline medical care, and outstanding at solving problems independently. She took the cutest photos of Amira, and it was clear that in spite of the difficulties at medication time, Amira still liked Rachel a lot and felt comfortable with her. We came home to a nice clean house and a well-cared-for kitty. We really hope to hire Rachel again in the future, I can't imagine anyone better suited to pet sit our panther!

Jess was absolutely amazing! She stayed at our home for 10 nights to watch Max, and also came back for two additional drop-in visits after — and we couldn’t be happier with the care she provided. From the start, Jess went above and beyond. She kept us consistently updated with messages and photos, took Max on plenty of walks, and made sure he was happy, active, and well cared for the entire time. Max is older and needs a bit more unique attention and care, and Jess handled that perfectly, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She also left our home cleaner than we left it, which honestly blew us away. She even took the time to water our plants — truly going above and beyond in every way. On top of that, she went the extra mile in such a thoughtful way — she helped organize a balloon/gift surprise for my brother’s 40th birthday while he was heading home early. Totally unexpected and incredibly kind. Jess is reliable, communicative, and genuinely cares. We would 100% trust her again with Max and our home. Highly recommend!

Caitlin is the best cat sitter we've ever had. From the start, she was incredibly thorough, asking insightful questions during the meet-and-greet that showed she truly cared about our cat's specific needs. She was also punctual right down to the minute! Throughout the weekend she was here, she sent frequent updates and photos of our 16yo cat who was being a bit fussy. It’s such a huge relief to travel and not worry for even a minute, knowing your pet is in such capable and caring hands. We are incredibly impressed with the level of care she provided and would absolutely love to have her back!

Ben was an excellent house and pet sitter. He was communicative, proactive, and brought a calm presence that the animals clearly loved. He took great care of our home, leaving it just as clean as we found it, and even offered to take the trash to the curb before we asked. We especially appreciated how confidently he handled our sometimes difficult-to-walk, strong pup.

We used Beth for the first time for house sitting and will definitely be using her again in the future! She came to meet with us at our house before our trip, which we appreciated so much. Our pup is reactive/anxious and has stranger danger, but Beth catered to her needs and Kya was able to warm up to her very quickly. As owners of an anxious pup it is stressful to leave her with dog sitters but Beth eased our stress immediately with constant updates. Highly recommend Beth!

We could not be happier with Beau! She house-sit for us for a week, for our two Frenchies and our 20 year old cat. She not only kept us informed about everyone, she sent photos and truly invested time in keeping them happy. They loved her. She walked the dogs daily, took care of meds and special food perfectly, and was all in all a fine person to interact with. I trust her completely, and will certainly use her services again.

Eleni was so great with our 2 nutty dogs!! To find someone to come care for a dog with separation anxiety is stressful as their additional needs aren’t always understood. Eleni in communications and a visit ahead of her stay and during her stay were amazing. She made us feel so at easy being able to navigate the anxiety of our older dog and the energy of our 2 year old. I would highly recommend and welcome her back!

Jason was communicative, asked thorough questions, and was a good man overall. He met all of the requests we made for the pups and communicated his process with them clearly. Our pups were calm and collected with him. He even sent updates to us. Not only that, but he helped us understand the platform better. I'll definitely request Jason again.
