“Leo was wonderful with my dog — attentive, caring, and reliable. I could tell my pup felt comfortable and happy the whole time. Great communication and updates throughout. Highly recommend and would definitely book again!”

“Diana is absolutely the best. Our pup is on the timid side having some past trauma prior adoption, but this was no issue with Diana’s years of experience. Opie had the best time and even visited dog parks in the city as well as Fort Funston - his favorite place in the world! Communication with her throughout has been quick and responsive. She sent multiple check ins with photos and videos so you never feel out of the loop. Thank you, Diana. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter.”

“Aaron and his wife always treat Cash like their own. They are very flexible, kind, and take great care of my boy. This was their second time watching him and I’ll definitely be back.”

“Sarah was fantastic with Pepper! She kept us updated throughout his stay, and Pepper came home happy and well cared for. It was clear he received lots of attention and love. We would definitely book with Sarah again and highly recommend her to other pet parents!”

About: I’ve become the go-to pet sitter for friends, family, and coworkers, and I truly enjoy spending time with animals of all kinds. Whether your pup loves long walks and playtime or your cat prefers quiet companionship, I treat every pet like family. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, and special requests, always making sure water bowls are full and your furry friend is comfortable and happy. I’m happy to provide plenty of exercise, playtime, cuddles, and treats (with your approval, of course!), and I love keeping pet parents updated with photos and messages so they can enjoy peace of mind while they’re away. My goal is simple: to make sure your pets feel safe, loved, and cared for in the comfort of their own home. ❤️ I have a flexible schedule and am available for dog walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting on weekdays and weekends. Whether your pet needs a quick potty break, a long walk, or overnight companionship, I’m happy to adapt to their routine and provide the love, attention, and exercise they need. I also welcome last-minute bookings whenever possible. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family members, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, and any special requests, always making sure water bowls are full and your pet is safe, comfortable, and happy. I’m happy to provide treats with your approval and can accommodate your pet’s favorite snacks and routines. Whether I’m visiting your home or staying overnight, my goal is to create a calm, loving environment and give you peace of mind through regular updates, photos, and messages.
“Youjung was great! I dropped off my dog for an evening doggy daycare while I was at dinner. She sent me updates through the night with videos and pictures. Would definitely book with her again.”

“Mary-Frances took such good care of our pup, Paprika! This was Paprika’s first time staying with someone outside of family and Mary-Frances made her feel right at home. She also gave me updates throughout the day which made us feel at ease leaving Paprika for the first time! Paprika had a fun-filled day of walks and playtime. She didn’t want to leave when we picked her up 😆 I would recommend Mary-Frances to anyone and can’t wait to have her watch our pup again.”

“Carlotta is great, my dog has a great time and she is very communicative. Having a larger dog it’s always great finding someone who feels comfortable with them. 100% recommend!”

About: Hi! I'm an artist working from home who loves spending time with pets and has a little black cat at home. I often pet sit for friends, from short visits to boarding for several days, so I’m very comfortable with daily routines like walks, feeding, playtime, and just keeping pets company so they feel safe and happy. I also tend to take way too many photos, so you can expect lots of photo updates while I'm with your pet! I work from home doing freelance work, so my schedule is pretty flexible and I’m able to plan my day around pet care, whether that’s walks, drop-ins, or staying with them for longer periods. I’m available for boarding, house sitting, and walks, and I like keeping a consistent routine so pets feel comfortable and not rushed. I live in an apartment right next to Washington Square Park and Coit Tower, so it’s really easy to get dogs out for nice long walks and some additional short walks to get some fresh air! I also have a 3-year-old cat who’s used to being around dogs. I keep my place clean and calm, and I pay attention to how each pet is feeling so they’re comfortable. I’m also happy to follow any routines or instructions so things feel familiar for them.
“We had a last-minute show to attend over the weekend and really appreciated Naomi accepting the request. She took great care of our doggo and we’re very grateful.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life, and you’ll always find me on the floor at gatherings, hanging with the dogs. Big, small, young, old, if it has paws, I’m in. I’d love to give your pup the best day (or days) ever! I work from home as a freelance art director, so my schedule is flexible and pet-friendly. This means your pup gets tons of attention, walks, and company throughout the day. I’m available for boarding all days of the week. Bonus: Art Director means you’ll get plenty of free glamour shots of your dog 🤳🐕 I treat every dog like they’re my own. I live in a safe, walkable neighborhood perfect for regular breaks and comfy walks. I don’t have pets at home, so your dog gets one-on-one care, and I can crate them if needed.

“Yang has been Queso’s sitter to quite a while now. I like that she is very communicative and I can tell Queso gets excited when he sees her. I definitely recommend her!”

“Jessica is a warm, responsive sitter who made George feel right at home. She took great care of him and kept me updated with regular photos throughout his stay. Highly recommend.”

About: Grew up with dogs of various ages and breeds, including a boxer, rottweiler, doberman, and jack russell terrier. Most recently lost our buddy, Morton, our salt & pepper miniature schnauzer of 15 years. Our young son also loves animals, especially dogs, and loves having a dog around to hang out with. There will always be at least 1 adult with your dog at all times, unless you've been notified. We also live in a very dog-friendly neighborhood and have many green spaces and parks nearby. As long-time owners of dogs of various ages from puppy to senior, we understand the needs of pets. Our most recent pup, Morton, was 15 years old when he passed, but required a special diet and care for several years before the end of his life. We only watch one dog at a time to make sure your pup receives our full attention and care. While our young song loves dogs and pets, it is also important that any pet in our care is comfortable with young children. If you are unsure how your dog will behave around young kids, please consider other sitters. We do not want to risk the safety of our child or the comfort of your pet. Our apartment is best suited for dogs 30lbs and under. Please help us ensure your pet has the best stay by bringing their preferred bed, water bowl, toy(s), treats, food, and whatever else your pet needs to be comfortable in it's home away from home.
“Ms Shanice is a very gentle person. My doggie seems she had a great time at her place. Also her doggie is the perfect assistant!! It was the first time for our doggie to stay in the dog day care or with someone else, but our family is very happy that Ms. Shanice could help our doggie for the new experience.”

“Tommy loved being with Anderson and Pablo! I can trust them to keep him totally comfortable, safe, and enjoy time outside too. They provide a great experience for him and I have peace of mind at work. When I picked Tommy up I could tell he had had a nice time because he was jumping on Anderson to stay longer 😂”

“Derek & Stella were great with Benny! Very communcative, easy drop off/pickup and he came back tired. Would absolutely use them again and do reccomend!”

North Beach dog parents share their Rover experiences
Joshua was fantastic with our puppy, Raisin. She took to him straight away, which is saying a lot because she’s usually very cautious around new people and doesn’t love being away from us. It was clear she had a wonderful day and felt completely comfortable in his care. He has a natural way with dogs, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him. If you get the chance to book Joshua as your pet sitter, definitely do it!

This was the first time I tried a Rover sitter, and I’m so thankful Remy and his sweet daughter were my introduction! I have a senior dog with some special needs and who also requires medication, and Remy obliged all the instructions and, as evidenced by the photos and video he sent, clearly put my baby at ease and helped make him feel at home. He was extremely communicative, punctual, and very attentive to Cashew’s. I will definitely contact him again the next time I’m visiting the Bay Area and need a sitter!
