Hi! I’m Summer — a San Francisco-based dog lover with a flexible schedule, active lifestyle, and a genuine love for animals. I know how important it is to leave your animal with someone you trust, so I focus on providing dependable, attentive care in a calm, loving environment where they feel safe and at home. I have my own dog, Benson, a 2 year-old Golden Retriever who is sweet, social, and loves exploring the city with me. Having him has made me deeply in tune with animals needs, routines, and comfort levels. I can sincerely say when your dog or cat is with me, they’ll receive the same love, attention, and care I give my own.

Summer was so great with Louie! He tends to be shy and take a while to warm up to new humans but he loved summer and came back calm and happy! Summer was such a great communicator and very flexible with making a last minute reservation work despite some travel plans. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to watch their pup 🐶
Summer was great with Mika and sent lots of updates throughout the day. Mika was very tired by the time that she got home.

Summer did an amazing job with my pup for his first daycare experience! He had a bit of a rough start to the day, causing a small mess that required a shower and a bit of mayhem later at Summer's. Summer handled him wonderfully and updated me every step of the way. She went above and beyond with communication and with handling every situation calmly. I was stressed and she was very reassuring. I can tell Summer has a kind, patient, and loving attitude when it comes to our furry friends and loves them like they are her own! It's also wonderful that my pup and Summer's get along. Highly recommend and I will be coming back!
Summer was amazing! She had such a way with our dog Sam. She is super attentive and played with him so well. She even cleaned up all the dog toys so it was like she was never there. We would 100% recommend Summer to anyone looking for a dog sitter.

Schedule
I work a flexible schedule, which allows me to give dogs plenty of attention, walks, potty breaks, and companionship throughout the day. I’m able to accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening routines for the most part and always try to keep pets on a schedule similar to what they’re used to at home.

I maintain a clean, pet-friendly environment and closely supervise all pets in my care. I pay close attention to routines, triggers, leash safety, feeding instructions, and any special needs or behaviors you share with me ahead of time.

A typical day
A typical day in my care includes morning and evening walks, regular potty breaks, playtime, enrichment, and plenty of downtime based on your dog’s routine and energy level. If you’re comfortable, I’m happy to provide organic duck, salmon, and beef treats, along with Portland Pet Food Company food toppers and beef broth with meals at no extra cost. Since I have a flexible schedule, your dog will get lots of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. My dog, Benson, is friendly and social, so there’s built-in play and company if your dog enjoys it. My goal is to make your dog feel safe, comfortable, and at home while you’re away.

- A few important things I like to know ahead of time are your dog’s temperament, routine, and any special needs. This includes how they do with other dogs, any anxiety triggers, food restrictions, medications, allergies, or behaviors I should be aware of (crate training, leash pulling, barking, etc.). I also ask that owners let me know about potty habits and ensure their dog is potty trained so I can make their stay as comfortable and seamless as possible. The more I know upfront, the better I can make them feel safe, comfortable, and at home.
