About: I provide loving, dependable care for all kinds of pets, making sure they feel safe, happy, and right at home. I have experience with puppy training, senior pets, and anxious animals, and I always adjust my care to fit each pet’s personality and needs. Now that I’m no longer working full-time and only attending college part-time, I have wide availability for walks, drop-ins, and sitting. Whether it’s playtime, snuggles, or a relaxing walk, I treat every furry (or feathered!) friend like family, their comfort and happiness always come first. Available whenever you need me night or morning. Send me a text and I'm sure we can figure a schedule that works for everyone! Thank you ! I'm detail-oriented, carefully managing every aspect of pet care, from feeding to medication. Respectful of others' property, I ensure their home is treated with utmost care, making pet care seamless and reliable.
About: Our Why? We have Huskies, and while still offering our service to other breeds, we highlight that it takes a fellow Husky owner to understand what a Husky needs. Despite their mischievous shenanigans, Houdini escape attempts, endless fur-sheddings, high-pitched vocalizations, bubbly, energized personalities, and hyperactive frolicking, we adore huskies. We understand finding experienced, dependable, loving, and trustworthy caregivers for your Husky isn't easy. That's why we are here to help. We currently have two friendly young huskies (one male and one female- fixed and crate-trained). We also have experience with English bulldogs, Sharpeis, Chow-Chows, Labs, Doodles, and Boxers. We only offer care for dogs based upon the comfortability of the match to our pet-care style and demeanor. We love our pets as we will love yours. We are focused on weekends, holidays, and summer care. We are open to possible weekday arrangements if your dog is crate-trained. Before booking us, a drop-by visit is required to test the compatibility of all humans and dogs. A few things: Special note-while we have never owned a French bulldog, we are particularly interested in learning to care for this breed. Your pet must be spayed or nurtured to receive boarding in our home. Also, we are sorry but we cannot offer care for full or mixed Pit Bull breeds. How does pet care fit into your daily and weekly lives? Our pets receive two meals a day, comprising dry food and water. Our pets are crate-trained and remain crated when owners are away. Most of the time, there is an adult in the house. Our dogs can access a large fenced backyard with green grass and trees. Our dogs walk with owners through nearby Branch Brooke Park and visit the dog park almost daily. Our dogs are crated during adult meal times and sleep in the main bedroom on the floor, side couch, or end of bed at night. We maintain a clean home and provide puppy pads during inclement weather to avoid mud and chaos. Pets have access to some rooms, but not all rooms in the house. Toys and treats are provided regularly. Linens on beds where animals may sleep are washed and switched out regularly. Our gate is blocked off on both sides because huskies are known for escaping. Our pets have ID collars and ID dog tags and wear GPS trackers during the day. Our dogs are up-to-date on immunizations and have been spayed/neutered. We don't hit our dogs with our hands or objects but use basic word commands. Training dogs is always a work in progress. They are both loved for their uniqueness. We only plan to care for pets in our home. We have a large and welcoming home.
“Elissa is a really sweet and very professional person. She’s house-sitted and dropped by to take care of my two puppies and they’ve quickly grown to love her. She’s trustworthy and communicative. I would highly recommend her!”

“Marita is a natural with animals. She took good care of Teddy and he immediately warmed up to her. Overall, very satisfied with her flexibility, professionalism and service.”
“Molly and her husband were great, they took care of our two dogs while we were away for a few days and made sure they were pampered and stayed healthy. They also left our place clean and went the extra mile to get our puppy some extra food when he ran out of it. Highly recommend!”

“Brad was really great with our dog Mooney! He gave daily updates and communicated very efficiently. We felt at ease knowing Brad was taking care of Mooney. Would highly recommend!”

“Marlene has stayed with my dog Lexi at our home multiple times when we go away. Marlene is very accommodating, she is able to make last minute changes to her schedule to fit our needs and goes above and beyond to make sure our dog is comfortable, safe, and happy. I really appreciate her flexibility. Our place is always nice and tidy when we come back home. Marlene is very responsive when contacted throughout the day, sends daily updates and pictures and it gives us peace of mind Lexi being in good hands.”

“First I like the start of saying JoJo was amazing! They messaged me all kinds of updates and amazing photos. I definitely worry a lot about my fur baby when I’m away, and never had to worry the whole time JoJo was watching Brina. I will definitely be using them in the future!!!!!”

“Priyanka was amazing with my dog. She followed all the instructions I left her, asked to do a meet and greet, and asked questions about my dog too. I got updates and pictures. I would book her again!!”

“Michelle’s profile is mostly about her love of and gift with dogs, but let me tell you she is a cat person/lover of all animals for sure! She stayed at our place for two weeks while we were out of the country for a wedding and we were SO comforted to know that our senior cat Alfie was in good hands. Michelle took copious notes about his care, was mindful of making sure he was eating right and taking his medication, and loved on him so good! She sent pictures and updates - and it was clear that Alfie took a liking to snuggling with her and sleeping with her. She seemed to really enjoy him as well, and it always feels good to know that your fur baby is in caring hands. She was communicative and reliable (and funny!), and our home was in good shape upon our return. I would wholeheartedly recommend Michelle and hope to work with her again!”
“Jade was a rare find. How lucky were we? We enlisted Jade to watch our 3 year old dog for a week while we traveled. She fed him on time and gave him plenty of exercise and LOTS of love. We came home to a clean home and a happy dog. Couldn't ask for more! Hope to use her many times in the future!”

About: Pet care is my world, and I’ve spent years getting to know dogs and cats of all kinds. From bouncy puppies 🐶 learning their manners to wise seniors 🐕🦺 who just need a gentle stroll and some fresh water, I’m here to make sure their routine stays perfect while you're away. 🛡️ My "Safety First" Approach: I’m not just there for a walk; I’m there to be your pet’s guardian. I’m the sitter who: Double-checks that harnesses are secure and doors are locked. 🔒 Scans the path ahead on walks to avoid reactive dogs or hazards. ⚠️ Ensures water bowls are topped off and paws are clean when we get back. 🐾 ✨ Real Care for Real Pets: I specialize in Drop-Ins and Walks where your pet's well-being is the priority. Whether it’s a high-energy power walk or a quiet backyard bathroom break for a senior, I adapt to what your pet needs that day. I’m especially patient with rescues or shy pups who need a little extra time to feel safe. 💜 📸 Simple, Honest Updates: I like to keep my focus on your pet rather than my phone screen, but I’ll always send you the essentials! You can expect: A quick "Pupdate" to let you know they pottied and played. A cute photo (or two!) of our visit. 🤳 Peace of mind knowing your home is secure and your pet is loved. My promise is simple: To treat your pets like my own family, keep them safe, and bring a bit of extra joy to their day every time I visit. ✨ ⏰ Dedicated Full-Time Professional Care Because pet care is my full-time career, your pets aren't a "side gig" squeezed between other shifts. They are my entire schedule! 🐾 🗓️ Flexibility That Fits Your Life: I’ve designed my day to be there when you can’t be. Whether your boss called a last-minute meeting or you just want your pup to have a consistent midday break, I’ve got you covered: Early Birds & Night Owls: From sunrise stretches 🌅 to evening tuck-ins 🌙, I'm on the road and ready. Midday Energy Bursts: Perfect for puppies or high-energy dogs who need to burn off steam while you’re at work. ⚡ Consistent & Dependable: Because this is my job, you don’t have to worry about me "calling out" for an office conflict. I am there, rain or shine. ☔️☀️ 🏠 Reliability You Can Trust: Being a full-time sitter means I take my reputation seriously. I keep my route tight so I can be on time and fully present. When I’m at your house, my phone stays in my pocket (except for that cute photo!) so your pet gets 100% of my attention. 🛡️✨ 🛡️ Your Home & Pet: Safe, Secure, & Respected I don’t just "watch" pets, I protect them. Whether I’m entering your home for a drop-in or heading out for a walk, I operate with a safety-first checklist to ensure total peace of mind for you. 🏠✨ 🚧 Out on the Walk: The "Double-Check" Rule: I always verify harness/collar tightness before we step outside. 🐕🦺 Awareness Training: I’m constantly scanning the environment for other dogs, reactive triggers, or unsafe debris on the sidewalk. ⚠️ Temperature Checks: In summer or winter, I check pavement heat or ice levels to keep those paws protected. 🐾🌡️ 🔒 Inside Your Home: Security Expert: I am hyper-diligent about locking doors, arming alarms, and ensuring gates are clicked shut. Your home’s security is as important as your pet's. 🔑 Environment Scan: I check for hazards, empty water bowls, or anything your pet shouldn't be chewing on before I leave. 🚫🦴 The Little Things: I make sure the "routine" is followed, whether that’s a specific treat spot, a white noise machine, or a favorite blanket. 💜 The Professional Promise: I treat your space with the highest level of respect. I’m a quiet, clean, and reliable presence. My goal is for you to walk through your door and feel like I was never there except for the fact that your pet is happy, calm, and well-cared for! 🏠💫

Darrin was great taking care of my two boys at my home for a weekend trip I had planned. He provided frequent updates and pictures and was even able to accommodate beyond the originally scheduled trip if needed due to weather travel disruptions. 10/10 would recommend and would happily use him again if ever needed! Thanks again from me and the boys!

Kristine is the most caring, kind, and genuinely incredible person we have ever met on this app. The way she takes care of our puppies is truly amazing and she goes above and beyond to make sure they are happy and that my husband and I have nothing to worry about! She updates with photos all day, texts how they are doing and what they are doing, and answers her phone the second we text her. It is so obvious how much she adores animals, and our puppies adore her. We are so lucky to have found Kristine! Would recommend to anyone, and already booked her to watch our puppies many more times after her first visit. What a wonderful person!!!! We are blown away!

This was our first time booking with Milena and our first time booking an overnight sitter for our pets, so we were just a little anxious. Over the course of the weekend, all our nerves were calmed; Milena was great. She communicated well, sent pictures, and heeded all of our instructions and requests. We had done a meet and greet with her before the weekend, so we knew our pets were comfortable with her, and they seemed very happy to have her company. When we returned, the house was in perfect shape. We will definitely book with her again.

I booked Rachel last minute, and she was quick to respond. She’s incredibly responsible, respectful of our home, and, most importantly, she was so sweet with my puppy, Oliver. She sent updates and pictures throughout the day, and he looked so happy. I’ll absolutely be booking her again whenever I need a sitter for Oliver! Highly recommend!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in North Arlington on Rover is $40.44 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 19,010 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across North Arlington. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred North Arlington walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in North Arlington maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in North Arlington choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in North Arlington. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
