I booked Marlita for an overnight stay with my dog, Bella. Since this was my first time using her as a sitter, we did a meet-and-greet beforehand and everything seemed fine. On the day of the booking, Marlita arrived around 1 PM, stayed for about an hour, and took Bella on what appeared to be a very short walk. She then left and returned around 7:30 PM for another brief visit and quick walk before leaving again. By 10:30 PM, I noticed she still had not returned for the overnight stay. I reached out via text with no response, and when I called around 11 PM, it went straight to voicemail. At that point, I was unsure whether she was coming back at all, so I had to contact a family friend to step in and take care of Bella. Marlita finally responded at 12:57 AM saying she didn’t know that Bella couldn’t be left alone for more than two hours, which wasn’t really the point. I was very disappointed by the lack of communication and reliability throughout the booking. If I am paying for overnight care, I expect the sitter to actually stay overnight or, at the very least, maintain clear and timely communication. Afterward, I requested a refund for the night, and Marlita told me she would reach out to Rover regarding it. Since then, I have not received any follow-up or response, which unfortunately seems to be another example of the same lack of communication.

Marli took great care of our 10 month old puppy while we were traveling for 5 days. She was reliable, kind and kept in close contact. She sent lots of updates and photos, which we greatly appreciated. We would definitely recommend Marli for petsitting!
