“Jacqueline is awesome! So patient with my crazy, energetic pup. Piper absolutely loves when Jacqueline comes for her walks and waits for her to return when she leaves!”

About: Hi! I’m a graduate student with 5+ years of experience caring for both dogs and cats, including seniors and pets with special needs. I’ve done drop-in visits and pet sitting for my friends in the Medford and Arlington areas, and I always treat each animal with patience, love, and attention. Whether your pet needs playtime, medication, or just a calm presence while you’re away, I’m here to help! I’m a graduate student with a flexible schedule, especially during the summer. So I’m available for pet visits and drop-ins on weekends and most weekdays. I’m happy to accommodate short-notice requests and extended stays when needed. When caring for pets in your home, I always follow your instructions carefully—whether it’s feeding, medication, or playtime. I keep things clean, calm, and stress-free, and I make sure your pets feel safe and loved while you’re away.

“Our dog can be a bit much with leash reactivity and new changes. We are very pleased with how Kaylor has dealt with Buddy and it seems to be going well. Super grateful for the willingness to work with Buddy!”

“Shawn has helped me a number of times take care of my golden retriever and has been a real lifesaver. She is experienced, reliable, clearly cared about my dogs wellbeing and was also a great communicator. She took my dog April for multiple long walks and also figured out how to safely get her some running exercise on a long line. Would definitely recommend Shawn!”

“Michael walked my 3 year old golden retriever, Waffles, for four afternoons. Waffles sometimes pulls on the leash and sometimes not. Michael in his own quiet way was clearly in control and Waffles liked him immediately. I recommend Michael.”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover in North Cambridge with a flexible schedule, perfect for last minute walks or regular routines in Cambridge & Somerville. I grew up with a Labrador Retriever (Chance 🪽) and a Beagle/Basset mix (Bailey 🪽), and more recently, my family rescued a German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix (Tucker) and a Blue Heeler mix (Jax). I also have recent hands on experience caring for dogs full time. I cared for my roommate’s dog full time for months; managing daily walks, feeding, and playtime. I also provided extended care for a friend’s dog, including daycare, overnight stays, and administering medication multiple times a day. These experiences helped me develop a strong sense of responsibility and an attentive approach to each dog’s unique needs. What you can expect: • Reliable, on-time walks & drop-ins • Safety-first approach (leashed at all times, avoiding triggers) • I will never introduce your dog to other dogs without your explicit permission • Personalized care (pace, water breaks, plenty of sniff time!) • Photo updates every visit so you know your pup is happy I love walking the Somerville Community Path and exploring new routes, but I’m always happy to follow your dog’s favorite paths. I’ve worked with puppies, seniors, nervous dogs, and those who are reactive; I’ll adjust to your dog’s unique needs. 🐾 Message me anytime, I respond quickly and am happy to do a free meet & greet! I currently have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to spend plenty of time caring for your pets throughout the day (drops ins, last minute needs, and regular routines). I treat every pet like they’re my own, with a lot of attention, care, and respect for their routines. I make sure they feel comfortable and safe. I’m mindful of any rules or preferences the owner has, so pets get consistent care that feels familiar.

About: I've cared for my family's dogs my whole life & now have my own 1 year old pup. I am a very active girl and I have always prioritized taking dogs for long walks or to the park to let their energy out. We usually do a minimum 3 walks/day. I believe dogs deserve a good play time rather than just sitting in the house all day! I also am experienced in bathing, feeding, and giving loving attention to my dogs. I know how hard & expensive it can get trying to book a sitter in the area as I’m often paying > 60/night for my own dog. I keep my rates reasonable for exceptional care. I am studying for my board exams and currently at work on Mondays and Wednesdays until 7 pm. I am very flexible with other times during the week and on weekends and have a car if you need me to provide transportation. I live in a spacious 2 floor apartment and am close to popular dog walking spots near the wharf. If your pet has a favorite spot I would love to take them there.

“May was great with Frankie. She came during a heat wave so Frankie didn’t want to stay outside long. May spent the rest of the time with him playing fetch with him inside and rubbing his belly. She also fed him. I will be using her services again!”

About: With years of experience and a genuine love for animals, I provide safe, structured, and fun walks/sittings tailored to each dog’s energy and personality. Whether it’s a high-energy jog or a slow sniff-around-the-block, I treat your dog like one of my own and always show up with a smile and a leash ready to go. Working from home creates the perfect environment for a synergistic dog sitting experience because it allows for constant presence, real-time attention, and a calm, familiar setting. Without the distractions or time constraints of commuting, I’m able to fully integrate a dog’s care into my daily routine — offering consistent companionship, timely walks, and immediate response to any needs. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach—every dog has their own personality, routine, and comfort zone. Whether it’s belly rubs on command, medication schedules, or favorite walking routes, I provide personalized care that mirrors your dog's home life, helping them feel secure, happy, and loved while you're away.
