About: Hi everyone! My name is Sophia and I’m a sophomore at UNC Chapel Hill studying nursing. I have been taking care of animals since I was 10 and currently have an aussiedoodle named Lexie! I have experience taking care of dogs, cats, reptiles, and small mammals. I am passionate about caring for annimals and volunteer at a rabbit rescue in Chapel Hill during the school year! If you have any trips coming up this summer or just want help taking care of your pets please reach out! I have a pretty open schedule this summer, so I have plenty of time to look after your pets and ensure they’re well cared for! I am passionate about ensuring the safety of the animals in my care. I have extensive knowledge about pet care and have been taking care of animals for over 8 years.

About: Since 2020, I have taken care of several pets of all ages and energy levels! The past three years, I’ve lived with, and taken care of three cats ranging from senior to kitten. There is never a boring day! Olive, the oldest cat, has asthma, so I am trained in giving inhalers and various medications. I have also taken care of puppies of all ages ranging from one years old to senior dogs. I love to play so making sure your dog gets exercise won’t be a problem! From the highly energetic babies to the slower, more easy-going ones, I’ll make sure each dog gets specialized attention and care. I have the most experience with senior dogs. I am able to give medications, help them with low impact exercises, and stick to feeding schedules to help keep consistency. If your dog has any special requirements, just let me know and I’ll make sure they have all they need! For all your pet needs, I’m your girl! While I work part time, I have a flexible schedule so I will have plenty of time to check in on your pets and provide adequate feeding and play time! I am available all days of the week with advanced notice! Every pet has unique needs and Im always ready to meet them! I have taken care of several babies who needed tons of attention and others who just need me to make sure they have their food on time. “My dogs were nice and tired after their walks with Amanda. Will definitely be using her again!”

About: Hi there! My name is Jess. 🙂 I have happily been around animals my entire life. Growing up, my parents always had multiple dogs and several cats at once that were rescues. It was a bit of a zoo and I loved and cherished every minute of it. When I was 22 and on my own, I adopted two cats of my own (who have thus since passed, as I’m now 40 years old). Fast forward into 2018, my husband and I adopted our first Australian Labradoodle together. Two years later in 2020, we adopted our second Labradoodle. Their names are Annabelle (age 6) and Falkor (age 3) and they are definitely my children! 🙂 (I also have two actual human children 😁, a 13 year old girl and a 10 year old boy.) I have been a stay-at-home-mom since 2011. While I very much love children, I absolutely love animals as well and felt called to take care of them outside of my home. I am very caring, loving, nurturing, sweet, considerate and compassionate. I am also very reliable, trustworthy, patient, communicative, and responsible. I can take your animal(s) for walks, play with them, clean up after them, ensure they’re fed accordingly and have plenty of fresh water throughout my stay. I am open to giving medication as well if needed. If your pet(s) are open to affection, I am super happy to give them lots of love! I will be happy to send updates and pictures throughout my time with your pet(s). I will also ensure to have your home just as tidy and clean as in the same condition you left it. I will wholeheartedly and with full promise and assurance, take care of your fur baby/babies as if they were my own because of the true love I have for animals in general, but also because I would absolutely want the same for my pets if it were the other way around and I were personally putting trust in a sitter. I’m happy to answer any additional questions and concerns you may have. In addition, if you choose to book me as your sitter, I am happy to come over sometime before actually sitting if you’d like for me to meet your pet(s), to show me around your home, and go over any things in person you feel would be beneficial and helpful. **Please note: I will only be providing my services in Smoke-Free homes as well as sanitary homes. I politely ask that if I’m to spend the night that fresh, clean sheets and a clean comforter as well as a clean shower be provided (if I am to stay overnight). Thank you for understanding. I am available throughout the day as needed and offer over-night stays as well. I may possibly just need to briefly leave once during the day depending on the timing of my stay to make a quick trip back to my own home to check in with my dogs and children. I will take extra care and caution ensuring your animal(s) do not get outside as I come and go during my stay and make sure all doors are locked. I will ensure any gates stay closed as needed. I will be very mindful about making sure your pet(s) will not have access to people food. I will also make sure there’s nothing left lying around that could potentially be hazardous to them.

“What a great experience! This was our first time using Rover and I landed on Melissa based on her having a fellow basset hound and professional experience dealing with animals. We have two bassets, both female, and one of those we just rescued. Needless to say they are a handful. Melissa came over the night before to meet them and check out their dynamic. She didn’t have to do this at all and it was so appreciated. She walked them he next day, kept us updated and responded fast with ANY questions. Bottom line is Melissa is a pro and will be using her for all future basset stop and smells/walks.”

“Julie took great care of Charlie as she always does. She’s incredibly reliable and trustworthy, and helped our shy guy warm up with some playtime. Highly recommend.”

“Gabby was absolutely amazing with our fur baby, Ravey. She watched Ravey while I was in the hospital having my son and Ravey was absolutely worn out when we got home from playing so much. Gabby was so attentive to our messages and made sure we got updates whenever we asked for them. 10/10 would recommend and have Gabby take care of Ravey again. The absolute best experience”

Jessica S.
“Jess has a true love for animals! I myself am an animal sitter and I often take the time to send Jess pictures of the animals I sit for (or even animals I see out in nature), as I know Jess will truly adore and appreciate them. She is very soulful and naturally connects to animals. Jess has a very loving, caring and nurturing personality. Over the years, I have seen her interact with different animals whether they were hers, my own, or other peoples. You can see how much joy it brings her and she is extremely gentle, sweet, and affectionate with them. I believe sitting for animals is a perfect addition to Jess’ life and I feel the owners of the pets she ends up sitting for will feel very pleased, happy and grateful they chose her to do so.”

Bella has an interesting personality - she’s friendly but very anxious around new people.
