“Dina took such great care of my cat! My cat needs stimulation, attention, and play, which Dina provided (during holiday season and for a good price). Dina is an animal lover and it showed in her care of my sweet girl! Thanks so much Dina.”

About: I have recently relocated to Lexington KY and am looking to expand my business here. I will treat your pet as if they were mine. Available most of the day; just let me know in advance I could bathe and socialize them. I will take them to the dog park or walk them with my other dog walk clients (if you want) I can hike with your dog or run with them. Or just relax and chill. I am very loving and sweet. I have grown up with dogs and adore them with my heart. I have two dogs currently. One is my own service dog. I love dogs and everything about them. I work from home, so I am very flexible. I have an open heart to please your dog. I like to hike at least once a week and have lots of play and relaxation. And of course walks daily. I have a fenced yard, toys, treats, and more available for your pup. I will respect your wishes in your house of how to handle your dog.
About: I grew up on a farm in NC surrounded by animals, and dogs have always been a big part of my life. Caring for pets comes naturally to me, and I enjoy getting to know each dog's unique personality and needs. I recently moved to Lexington with my husband, who is a veterinarian, which has given me an even greater appreciation for pet health and well-being. Whether your dog is an energetic puppy, a senior needing extra patience, or somewhere in between, I'll provide attentive, reliable care while you're away! I currently work part-time and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to accommodate walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting throughout the week. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and make sure each pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, and care. When caring for pets in a client's home, I do my best to maintain their normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure. Whether it's walks, playtime, feeding, medications, or simply providing companionship, I follow each owner's instructions closely and treat every home and pet with the same care and respect I would my own. As a pet owner myself to an 11½-year-old Maltipoo, I understand how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your furry family member.
“Taylor did everything I asked amazingly! She took care of my hamster over Christmas and was more than willing to take care of him. Will definitely be using in the future if need be!”

“Brooke is just wonderful! So kind and professional. I had no doubt that my dog and cat were in the best hands while I was gone. She’s awesome!”

About: Hi, I'm Brooke! I'm a recent UofL grad and love meeting new furry friends! I’ve been around animals my whole life, as I grew up with both cats and dogs, and began caring for neighbors’ pets at 10 years old. Since then, I’ve had years of experience with house sitting, daily walks, and drop-in visits for neighbors and family friends, often working through word of mouth and personal recommendations. I’ve worked as both a stay-in pet sitter and a weekly dog walker, and I love making sure they feel safe, loved, and well-cared for. I have experience caring for puppies, kittens, high-energy animals, and senior pets with special needs, and am comfortable adapting to a wide range of temperaments and energy levels. What sets me apart is my reliability, communication, and attention to care when it comes to treating animals with the patience, love, and respect they need.🩷 I am currently on my gap year between undergraduate and medical school, so pet care will be my full time job! I am able to stay the majority of the day at client's homes if needed, but may need to step out for an hour or two to get food and/or groceries for my stay. Feel free to discuss your pet's schedule with me, and we can figure out a plan that works for everyone! I always try to meet with the family before sitting or dropping-in so that I understand how any pets are used to their home feeling. I will follow all instructions left by the owners, and try to keep a loving and clean environment for the animals. I also try to be very communicative with owners about any questions or concerns, and will gladly provide daily pictures/videos of animals to the owners. I also love playing with animals and making sure they get enough activity so they can get some fresh air and love! Additionally, I am a pre-medical student and have many hours of emergency experience with basic life support (BLS) and have taken a veterinary BLS course. I know how to administer CPR and perform the Heimlich maneuver on cats and dogs. I also have experience administering injected medication and subcutaneous fluids to cats and dogs. (I do not have experience administering care to additional animals at this time.) I also look up the closest veterinary ER prior to a stay, and am prepared to drive any animals in case of an emergency.
“Aubrey gave us so much peace of mind by helping with a few last-minute drop-ins while we were in the middle of moving and I was starting a new job. She’s a great communicator, and our pup clearly loves her. Her updates always included helpful recaps and adorable photos. Highly recommend Aubrey!”

“Olivia was great. She gave the pups all the lovings while I was away. She sent pics and was great at communicating. The pups loved her. Will definitely use again!”

“Allison was great with our senior dogs, who required a little extra love. She sent us multiple updates and pictures throughout the day. The dogs enjoyed the playtime and cuddles. We will definitely be using Allison again!”

About: I have interned at a vet clinic my senior year of high school, worked at an animal shelter, and have owned dogs since I was 8. I’m currently going to school at UK, but I have a gab in my mornings from around 11-2 most days that I am available and then of course after classes! I would feed, water, and provide walks and also some play time for dogs, then with cats I would feed, water, and I would also play with whatever toys they have.
About: I have had a dog from the time I was 12 until I was 22! I know how to take care of all ages, from puppies to our beloved senior doggies. I’m in search for my new study buddy to keep me company while I do my flash cards! I am currently in medical school, and my class schedule is predictable but flexible. With a low amount of required activities, I am available to spend more time with your babies! I usually study from home, which means we can both keep each-other company :) I have experience in dog sitting and house sitting. I will be more than happy to spend as much time as possible in your home so that your pets stay on as normal of a routine as possible. I care for pets like I care for my patients- with love, responsibility, and devotion!
“Madison is PHENOMENAL! We absolutely love her! She has dropped in on Riley(German Shepherd) and Makito (cat) so many times and stayed with them for 7 days while I was away. I appreciate her going above and beyond every single visit. Hands down our favorite and first choice always:)”

About: I’ve been caring for animals for as long as I can remember, with experience ranging from dogs and cats to turtles and hermit crabs. I’m comfortable caring for pets in all stages of life, from energetic puppies who need patience, consistency, and basic training reinforcement to senior dogs who may require extra attention, slower walks, medication support, or mobility assistance. I pride myself on being dependable, attentive, and compassionate with every pet I care for. I understand that each animal has a different personality and routine, and I work to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. Whether it’s playtime, walks, feeding schedules, or simply providing companionship, I treat every pet like they are my own. I am currently in grad school, so my daily schedule is a little wonky. My days usually start around 8 am and end at 4 pm. Besides that I am wide open to care for your pet and I will be able to stop by during breaks in my days! I am more than comfortable to crate animals if needed. I am attentive and caring, the same levels I would wish someone would give my own pet.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Mount Vernon
Addie was amazing with my puppy! I work night shift an hour+ away and it’s always a struggle finding a sitter available to do drop in visits so late. I recently had a bad experience with a sitter falsifying care (I have a pet cam) and I was stressed I wasn’t going to be able to find anyone to check on her because of my schedule. Addie exceeded all of my expectations! She gave Maple so much attention, care, playtime, and affection! She was on time, she communicated well, and she was extremely accommodating to my little requests (like making sure my tv didn’t auto shut off so she could have background noise, or giving her a frozen pupsicle treat before leaving). She sent a ton of pictures of their time together and my girl looked so happy! She even won the heart of my cat, who is normally shy around new people. 10/10 experience! Thank you so much, Addie!

Emelyn has been absolutely wonderful. Reliable, communicative, and clearly loves what she does, she always takes such great care of our dog. We come home to a happy, well-exercised pup every time. It’s such a comfort knowing our dog is in such capable and caring hands—highly recommend!
Ashleigh was great! She helped take care of Penelope while I was out of town for work and did an awesome job. She was so loving towards Penelope and made sure she was well taken care of! She was on time, thorough, and provided lots of pictures and visit recaps!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
