“Ashtin & Jenison are awesome! This is my second time booking with them to watch my cat, Duchess. I always get lots of photos and Duchess looks very happy. They even brought in a laser toy for her! They helped me out with last minute requests and also with two extensions on my last visit. They are super friendly and helpful, and seem to genuinely enjoy spending time with my cat. i will definitely book with them again!”

“Katherine was communicative while I was away, and I came back to a very happy cat! I felt completely at ease knowing she was taking care of Chevy.”

“This was my first time using Rover and I feel lucky that Morgan visited my puppy. She was very nice, on time, and took great care of my puppy. She also cleaned up his mess, which I really appreciated. Thank you for everything!”

“Lindsey took good care of our cats with drop-in visits while we were away! I could see from photos that my rather skittish cats were comfortable around her, which set my mind at ease. I will definitely hire her again!”

About: I’ve always loved being around dogs and understand how important it is to know your pet is in caring hands. I had the privilege of owning my own dog for 12 wonderful years, which gave me firsthand experience with daily care, feeding, exercise, playtime, grooming, and providing plenty of love and attention throughout every stage of life. In addition to caring for my own dog, I’ve also dog sat for neighbors, making sure their pets stayed comfortable, safe, and well cared for while they were away. Whether it’s going for walks, sticking to a routine, playing, or simply keeping a dog company, I treat every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to give pet owners peace of mind knowing their furry family member is receiving dependable, compassionate care. Here’s a concise, genuine response: I have a flexible internship schedule during the week that allows me to provide reliable pet care, including morning, afternoon, and evening visits as needed. Since I have weekends off, I’m also available for weekend care and can give pets plenty of attention and companionship. Even during check-in visits, I’ll make sure your furry friend gets plenty of love, attention, playtime, and the care they deserve. My goal is to help them feel happy, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away.
About: I've lived in a cat household for 17 years and have loved every second of it! I also have experience doing drop-ins, walks, and overnights with dogs ranging from the puppy stage to senior dogs. I love the snuggles and play time, and would love to help take care of your fur babies whenever needed! I'm currently working part-time and work no later than 4 PM, so I am quite flexible and very dependable when needed! I live in south-central Lexington and am 10-15 minutes away from just about everywhere in town. I understand how important it is to ensure the happiness of your fur babies. I will engage your dog or cat in fun playtime that lets them get their energy out, take them on walks (if applicable), and then top it all off with a good meal and plenty of belly rubs to make any furry friend happy.
“Allison was great with our senior dogs, who required a little extra love. She sent us multiple updates and pictures throughout the day. The dogs enjoyed the playtime and cuddles. We will definitely be using Allison again!”

“Olivia was great. She gave the pups all the lovings while I was away. She sent pics and was great at communicating. The pups loved her. Will definitely use again!”

About: I grew up with dogs. As an adult rescued a dog, worked w rescues for over 10 yrs. Fostered rescues, worked at animal shelter. My own dogs I show and personal service train for me. I work full time at night and have time days and evenings for your fur babies. Work anytime around both yours and my schedule too. Because I live in apartment, I have fenced park to play. About: *Prior to sending a booking request, please be aware that I work 8:30AM to 5:30PM M-F. If this does not work for your pet’s needs, please do not send a request* When you book with me, I COME TO YOU! Your pets will never have to leave the place they know and love. I know leaving your fur babies is difficult, so I make it a point to respond to all messages almost instantly when I am not working my regular 8:30am-5:30pm job, and within 1-2 hours when I am at work. I am experienced with dogs and cats of all ages and love them as my own! I request detailed instructions on feeding and any other important details to be sent via message or written at your home. My weekends and nights after work stay flexible: sometimes I am gone for a couple hours to visit friends, but if a pre-set plan with my friends is intended to take more than 3 hours, I will ensure you are aware ahead of time so we can determine whether I am the best fit for your pets. I only pet sit in the client's home as I believe animals feel safer in an environment they know and trust. I also live in a small space where I cannot have more than my one dog, so bringing more animals home is not an option.
“One of the kindest souls 🫶🏻 she took plenty of pictures and made me feel so comfortable! absolutely went above and beyond for my little Pope. Highly recommend 10/10 :)”

About: My husband and I are experienced pet lovers who would be honored to care for your best friend! We are experienced with dogs, cats, senior dogs, and puppies. Our beloved beagle, Huckleberry, passed away earlier this year - and spent the final years of his life battling a variety of diseases, so we know how stressful it can be finding a sitter you feel confident leaving your fur baby with when their "instruction manual" has grown in size. We have experience with special needs, strict diets, oral medications, SQ fluids, and much more. We treat dogs like human members of the family here, and rest assured we will get them the absolute best care. They deserve it! I work from home, so I am home almost always. My husband is a nurse, and though humans are his expertise, those skills can come in handy! Our home has a fenced in yard for roaming, no kids and no other pets at this time. We have plenty of couches, beds, bean bags, etc. for your dog to relax and unwind. We prefer to take one dog at a time, unless they are from the same family/already know each other. We will follow your dog's instructions thoroughly and keep them on their regular routine. We will be sure to send updates and plenty of photos. Our goal is your peace of mind! I work from home, so rest assured I will be with your pet almost always. I have plenty of time for walks and breaks outside, and will have an eye on your dog all day while I work. We have a fenced in yard and plenty of space in our home. Your pet will get all the attention - we do not have any other pets or children. We will follow your pet's routine - whether that's snuggling in bed with us every night or sleeping in their crate.

Jessica is a true blessing and instantly puts your mind at ease that your dog is in the best of hands. Her sweet personality, instant compassion, and love for her job shines through and she kept us informed and took pics of our little Frenchie throughout her drops ins during a very long day that we were gone. You will be so happy with Jess!
Layla was very reliable in taking care of my puppy! She responded promptly and helped ease my stress with pictures and a sweet note during her drop in visit. My booking was rather last minute so I appreciate her responding quickly and helping me make sure Juni was taken care of.

Addie was amazing with my puppy! I work night shift an hour+ away and it’s always a struggle finding a sitter available to do drop in visits so late. I recently had a bad experience with a sitter falsifying care (I have a pet cam) and I was stressed I wasn’t going to be able to find anyone to check on her because of my schedule. Addie exceeded all of my expectations! She gave Maple so much attention, care, playtime, and affection! She was on time, she communicated well, and she was extremely accommodating to my little requests (like making sure my tv didn’t auto shut off so she could have background noise, or giving her a frozen pupsicle treat before leaving). She sent a ton of pictures of their time together and my girl looked so happy! She even won the heart of my cat, who is normally shy around new people. 10/10 experience! Thank you so much, Addie!

Emelyn has been absolutely wonderful. Reliable, communicative, and clearly loves what she does, she always takes such great care of our dog. We come home to a happy, well-exercised pup every time. It’s such a comfort knowing our dog is in such capable and caring hands—highly recommend!
Rhianna has been doing drop-in visits for our 3-month old puppy and it's been great! She always responds quickly, comes on time, and plays a lot with our energetic fur baby. From the pictures she sends us, it is clear that our puppy is having a great time and and loves to play with her. We appreciate her very much!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
