“Kim provided wonderful care to our very active Vizsla puppy! We love the detailed report of her visit and photo of our girl! Kim took the time to ask about the details for visit and took care of all of our requests. Happy to have found a friendly and reliable helper for our family! Thank you, Kim!!”

“We booked last minute on a holiday week. Rachel was so reliable and took great care of our cat Bubba. She took daily pictures and gave us thorough updates. It really helped not to worry about our pet on last minute travel.”

About: I have dog sat and walked for family and friends for years. I am the mom of a mini schnauzer Loki and cat Sylvie. Animals bring so much joy into the world and I try to bring joy into their days as much as I can! I am an Athletic Trainer at a local high school. I work evenings so have the whole morning free. I love exercise and often walk my own dog 4-5 times a day. I have lived with dogs my whole life. I know how to feed, walk, and love a dog. I will treat your furr babies like they are my own. I will give them plenty of love, I will play with them, and get all their energy out!
“Kayla's oversight and care of "Jones" was all, and more than I could have ever hoped for as a new "Rover" client. Even though Jones proved herself to be a bit of a 'skeerdy cat' and may have tried to throw Kayla a few curves when Kayla was attempting to locate Jones during her first drop in visits, Kayla persisted, taking time to make sure that her charge was always both well fed & watered but 'present and accounted for'. It was this attention to detail and persistence by Kayla shown in the twice her daily texts with photos from of her drop in visits that gave me the confidence I needed to fully enjoy my long delayed Christmas respite with my geographically distant family. I would commend Kayla to any Rover customer who is seeking a compassionate, competent and caring caretaker for their pet. Robert, with Jones' kitty paw of approval also”

About: So I have been taking care of animals for most of my life, but I have been doing it seriously for the past 6 years. I own a horse and a dog of my own, plus reptiles! So I have a well-rounded amount of knowledge! I'm extremely willing to work with the animals that may need more love and attention as well 💙 I currently work part-time as a repair technician for Apple, so this would be another side job for me! I would do any of the walking/house sitting after my job and taking care of my own animals! So I would be taking advantage of any amenities you have for you animal at your home! Taking them on walks, helping with a special diet, or even spending that extra time with them at the end of the day. I can also provide daily updates and even pictures of your beloved pet!

About: Hi, I’m Katie! I’m a college student living in Lexington. I love animals - I have two cats of my own! I have lots of pet care experience, including kitten/puppy and senior pet care. Check out my profile to see if we’d be a good fit! Currently I’m available weekends (Sat+Sun) and on select weekdays (Monday and Friday). I am also available during select hours on Tuesday-Thursday, but please message me before hand as I am working around my student schedule. Trust is important with pets! I always make sure to monitor body language and allow them to take as much time as they need to greet. I also ensure they remain comfortable throughout a visit!
About: I’ve cared for dogs since I was 8 years old. I’m comfortable with all breeds, including Pitbulls, Rottweilers, and German Shepherds. I was raised alongside a Pitbull Terrier mix, and later went on to adopt a full blooded Pitbull. Our family had a Boxer mix for 13 years until recently, and she was in very good shape up until the end. I would love to care for your pets as I have cared for mine! When I still had my dogs, I would feed them three times a day and give them medicine up to five times a day. If they had a little too much energy, I would play with them until they were tired out. I would let them outside as often as they needed, even if they just wanted to lay out there (when the weather is nice, of course). I cared for my dogs by paying attention to their body language and vocalizations. Often times, what they needed is something simple, like to go outside or when they were ready to eat, but on rare occasions they’d act a little unusual and that was when I’d take them into the vet’s office. I always made sure my dogs were in the best health possible.

About: I've had at least four dogs as long as I can remember. As a child, they were my first companions and my second caretakers. Even as I grew into an adult, they were always there to comfort me and to brighten the darkest of days. Dogs hold a very special place in my heart and I am eager to give back what they so willingly give; love, acceptance, understanding, comfort, and joy. In the last two years, I have gone from four dogs to one, due to Cancer and Congestive Heart Failure, and I must admit that their absence has affected me deeply. I miss them so so so much!! I'm one of those people that celebrated their dog's birthdays and bought them copious presents for Christmas. While my friends were pulling out their family pics, I was always pulling out my dog pics. I share this same sentiment towards birds, rabbits, and cats; all of which I had growing up. Being surrounded by animals as a child was a great experience. It even prompted me to volunteer at the ASPCA for almost a year. As I hope you can tell, I will not only provide what your pet needs to survive, but I will also provide him/her with special attention and love. I look forward to meeting with both you and your pet! Until then, take care! I will be able to fulfill any house/pet sitting duties without any issues, as I am able to balance my obligations responsibly and with respect to myself and those that hire me. While pet/house sitting, I will abide the rules given to me. This could include when they play, where they sleep, any medications needed, when to eat, etc.
“We were in a last minute bind and thankfully, we came across Lorrie here on the Rover app. Lorrie was able to quickly bond and take great care of our energetic bulldog, Maverick. Her communication was excellent, and she went above and beyond making sure he was well-cared for. Highly Recommend!”

“I recently moved from NY to KY and was in need of someone to help care for my four dogs. I had spoken to many people and wasn’t comfortable with anyone as I had my prior dog walker in Ny for over 10 years. I found Tanika and she and I hit it off right away: she was super accommodating to my ever changing schedule. I was nervous to have my one rescue dog meet anyone because he could be unpredictable. Tanika came armed with treats and was relaxed and so easy going with all the dogs that he took to her first!!!! Tanika had been above and beyond amazing . She helps with my dogs that have medical issues and she is always there when and if I need her. She takes care of my dogs as if they were her own and I’ve never had to worry about them when I’m away. She is an absolute god send and I highly recommend her!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
