About: I've had both dogs and cats. My dog was an 80 pound malamute (the runt of her litter) that I used to walk around my neighborhood--though most of the dogs I have cared for have been much smaller. In the past, I have adopted cats from my friends and taken in a neighbor's cat. I have cared for the pets of my friends and neighbors for work, travel, and illness. I'm retired. I enjoy reading and gardening. I occasionally go out some evenings but otherwise I have plenty of time flexibility for pet sitting. To care for pets in a client's home, I would want to meet with the client and their pet before an assignment. This would be helpful to know the client's expectations and to get acquainted with and build trust with the pet(s). I own a home where I have cared for my friend's pets during emergencies.

I’ve been worrying more about him lately as he continues to get older, but I don’t worry as much when she looks after him. She always is able to implement the new stuff I need to do for him as he gets older as well.
