“Accommodated me on short notice. Nathan has strong attentiveness. Inquired about my preferences and if I had specific requests like wanting photos / my pups schedule in order to provide optimal care to him during their time together.”

“John was an amazing sitter who kept us updated multiple times a day with pictures and updates, even when we couldn’t be as responsive. He offered Teddy healthy treats on the regular and treated him like his own. Five stars! We will definitely be reaching out to him again for future sitting needs.”

“Laura was really great and he was super happy when I picked him up. She consistently sent me status and photos of him. She also really enjoyed having him there and that means the world to me. I will always want him to be there first.”

About: I am currently a small animal veterinarian licensed in both Kentucky and Georgia, but have been in the veterinary medical field since 2009, starting out as a vet assistant. While I have enjoyed helping animals throughout my veterinary career, I have decided to step away from the long, demanding hours of clinical medicine in order to have a better work-life balance so that I can spend more time with my family. Pet sitting allows me to continue doing what I love, which is caring for animals. As a veterinarian, I have worked with all ages and breeds of dogs and cats, and I am comfortable administering medications, caring for senior pets, and supporting animals with special medical needs. Whether your pet is an energetic puppy or a senior with more in depth needs, my goal is to make every pet feel comfortable and loved while you're away. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family members, and I will treat your pet(s) as if they were my own, providing regular updates, photos, and plenty of attention so you can have peace of mind and enjoy your time away knowing your pet is in experienced, compassionate hands. Whether you need drop-in visits, walks, or help with a pet who needs a little extra time and attention, I'd love to meet you and your best friend! I look forward to helping your pet stay happy, healthy, and stress-free while you're away. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. As a veterinarian transitioning away from full-time clinical practice to create more time for my family, I now have the flexibility to provide attentive, reliable care for pets throughout the day. Whether it's walks, drop-in visits, playtime, or medication administration, I can easily build my schedule around each pet's individual needs. Caring for animals has always been more than just my profession, it's something I genuinely enjoy and look forward to every day. When caring for pets in your home, I strive to keep their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I follow your instructions closely regarding feeding, medications, walks, playtime, and any special needs to ensure your pet feels safe and comfortable while you're away.
About: We came across the Cavapoo breed as our loving Rottweiler was on his journey to his “better place”. We chose the Cavapoo breed as our furry rainbow puppy to help us all with the tough loss. Fast fwd 5 years, and WOW, still can’t believe the journey that was created for us. Dog breeding, training, boarding and grooming just the way I would want my pups taken care of…in a home. Our setup is ready for all stages of dogs and of course, personalities. This is a small family business and we make pet care fit seamlessly into our lives. We’re a party of 4 and all hands are always on deck. 4:00 am wake up call during the week and 6:00 am on weekends. Caring for pets in our home can consist of taking your pets normal routine that’s already established and following it. Help keep your animal on a schedule of food timing to crate or bedroom boarding. We live in a neighborhood with a 6 foot privacy fenced in back yard. A 3,000 gallon Koi pond surrounded by 800 square feet of deck. Nice plush outdoor furniture for the dogs to lounge next to the pond after a drink. We have also built a 200 square foot doggie palace on our property. Full electricity with heating/air and additional ceiling fan. Great for rainy days or dogs who are lone rangers and/or feisty.
About: Hi! I’m Evelyn, a veterinary technician with 8 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Caring for animals isn’t just my career—it’s something I truly love. Working in veterinary medicine has taught me how to recognize when pets are stressed, uncomfortable, or not feeling their best. Whether your pet needs medication, a fun walk, overnight companionship, or just a little extra patience, I’ll care for them like they’re my own. Every pet has a unique personality and routine, and I enjoy taking the time to get to know what makes them happiest. I’ll keep you updated with regular photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, comfortable, and in caring, experienced hands. My schedule works well for pet care because I have a consistent full-time routine and a one-hour lunch break that often allows me to check in on pets or provide midday visits when needed. Outside of work, I love staying active through running and daily walks, so I enjoy keeping dogs happy and engaged while always matching the pace to each pet’s age, energy level, and needs. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, and pet care throughout the week and on weekends. My goal is to provide dependable, compassionate care while keeping your pet’s routine as consistent as possible. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. As a veterinary technician, I’m trained to recognize signs of stress, illness, anxiety, and changes in behavior, but I also know that the best care often means helping pets feel relaxed, secure, and loved. I live in a pet-friendly apartment with my friendly dog and make sure every pet receives plenty of attention, exercise, potty breaks, and supervision. I’ll follow your pet’s routine closely, whether that includes feeding schedules, medications, or crate training, and I’ll always keep you updated with photos and messages so you know how they’re doing.

About: I've had one or more dogs my entire life, so caring for them has always been second nature to me. I genuinely love dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities, and I enjoy spending my days playing, going on walks, and giving them the attention they deserve. I'm responsible, dependable, and home for most of the day, so your pet will receive plenty of supervision, playtime, and companionship. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing fetch, relaxing on the couch, or curling up in bed for cuddles, I'm happy to make them feel comfortable, loved, and right at home. I understand that every dog is unique, and I'll treat your pet like they're part of my own family. My goal is to make sure they're happy, safe, and well cared for while you're away, so you can have peace of mind knowing they're in good hands. As a college student, I have a very flexible schedule and don't have any other jobs, allowing me to dedicate plenty of time to caring for your pets. While I have classes throughout the day, they're spread out, so I'm able to come home between classes to let dogs out, take them for walks, play with them, and give them lots of attention. I spend most of my time at home, which means your pet won't be left alone for long periods. My schedule allows me to provide frequent potty breaks, exercise, companionship, and plenty of love throughout the day. I live in a spacious townhome with a fenced-in courtyard, giving dogs a safe outdoor space for potty breaks and fresh air. I also have a friendly 1½-year-old Australian Shepherd mix who absolutely loves other dogs. He primarily stays in my roommate's room, so if your dog prefers their own space or isn't interested in interacting with other dogs, it's easy to accommodate. I want every dog in my care to feel as comfortable and at home as possible. They're welcome on the furniture, on the couch, and even in bed if that's what they're used to at home. I believe keeping your dog's routine as consistent as possible helps them feel relaxed while you're away. I'm also an extremely clean and organized person, both in my own home and when caring for someone else's. Whether I'm watching your dog in my home or yours, I'll treat your space with the same respect and care that I would my own. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free environment where your pet feels happy, comfortable, and well cared for.
“Regan was such a great sitter for our 12 year old pup! Communicative and friendly. You can tell she loves dogs. She’s very active and made sure Gypsy got lots of walks. I would definitely book with Regan again.”

“Ashley was super clear communicating and went above and beyond for my two cane corso mastiff mixes. My 5 month old puppy had almost no socialization and her 4 dogs were amazing with her. My older dog did happen to go into heat and Ashley was the perfect sitter for her!!!”

“Amber was so sweet watching my dog Grace for a weekend trip! She even agreed to a meet and greet ahead of time to make sure my baby was comfortable! I appreciate the thought and effort she put into puppy sitting and hope to have her watch Grace again”

From the moment we met Tania, she was friendly and welcoming. She introduced Molly to her pets and the layout of her home and fenced-in yard. Molly had to learn to use the Dog Door and did so While away, Tania sent photos and videos of Molly enjoying herself. It is clear that Tania cares deeply for pets. Molly had a wonderful time, and we will look forward to using Tania again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in KY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
