“She did an amazing job and kept in contact with me throughout the weekend, Sent plenty of photos and even taught him a new trick. Will definitely be asking her to watch him again.”

“Sofia was very easy to work with and helped provide all of the information that I needed to feel very comfortable about my dog’s stay. I can tell that he loved his walks and his cuddles. I will be hoping to book with her anytime we go out of town!”

“Our girl was well cared for by a loving family. We got daily updates and pictures of Hattie. I believe she had a lovely time with Alyssa and her family. We would definitely book her again. Thanks for taking such good care of our girl.”

“If you’re thinking of booking Meg, this is your sign to do it! She is so kind and gentle and was incredibly accommodating for all our needs for our sweet dog. We had our dog (2 years ago old Australian cattle dog mix) stay with Meg for a few days while we were in the midst of a big house move. She was the perfect safe and playful landing spot and sent us photos every day of our boy playing with her dog and lounging on the couch and snuggling at her feet while she worked from home. She’s the best, would absolutely book again.”

“Patrick was great! Prompt communication and plenty of picture updates on Guthrie, who looked to be having the time of his life. I swear Guthrie was positively beaming when I picked him up! The afterglow remains several days after.”

“Arla was great with Auggie! Was communicative and made sure to send lots of pics of the great walks they took. Nice, comfy, safe home for my good old boy! Will definitely use again!”

“Haley absolutely saved our life with a VERY last minute booking. She was super responsive, updated with photos, and was super close which made it the easiest experience possible. Cannot rave about her enough!!”

“We took an extended vacation and needed care for our 3 cats including one with special needs. Julia and her boyfriend took great care of our boys! They were calm and running around when we arrived to pick them up and all of the items nicely packed for an easy pick up. Definitely recommend for your fur babies! We will be rebooking in the future, thank you Julia!”

“Mariah and her family are truly the best! I’m so thankful to have someone local I trust to care for my pups while I’m away! She does an incredible job messaging daily updates (with pictures) and keeping me in the loop ♥️”

“We had to find someone last minute to watch our dog Leo , I came across this website and started to read reviews , and if they would take a large dog like Leo. Most sitters didn’t take dogs that wasn’t neutered, or they wouldn’t take him because of his breed. Then I came across Grace’s profile and read all the amazing reviews and read about her history with animals etc , so we knew she was the one. Leo has never been with anyone else besides my fiancé , son & I but as soon as we dropped him off he was already loving it and grace. She kept us updated the entire time with pictures and letting us know how Leo was doing. He loves her big backyard and I just know he loved it at Grace’s house. She was very sweet and you can just tell how much she loves and cares about all animals. 10/10 would recommend Grace and we need a dog sitter again we know who to call ☺️”

“We where more than amazed with susan’s Family, it was our first time leaving Millie and she is still a puppy so we where very worried, but since the meet and greet Susan’s daughters made it very easy for us, Millie love all of them since day one and she was part of their family during her stay. Susan send us daily pictures and updates and made sure Millie was loved and happy. We can’t thank them enough!!! Thanks!! For sure coming back with them ?”

“I can't thank Missy enough for her help with the pups! They adore her and I'll be using her for the rest of my time here in Indiana. I've booked with her several times and highly recommend her. She was flexible with the drop off/pick up times, great with communication, and I can tell my pups love her and Willie <3”

“Sarah helped with my dog Max for the first time this last week, when I was on an extended vacation. She is wonderful, and did a fantastic job caring for my pupper. Highly recommend”

“Sarah, Daniel, and their family took great care of our Winnie. She’s a little high maintenance; needs loads of snuggles and doesn’t do well with other dogs. They played fetch with her and sent pics every day. Winnie seemed really comfortable when we picked her up. I would recommend them for your dog sitting needs and we will definitely contact them again.”

“Sylvie stayed with her for a long weekend, she was a happy puppy playing with Tonka and the other visitors during her time there. Very pleased with the care my baby girl got!!”

I highly recommend Sarah to board and care for your pet. She provided excellent care and follow up regarding our Corgi during our vacation away. She sent pictures and updates throughout our time away. She was flexible on pickup time. I felt so much at ease from the beginning! This was my first time using Rover, and I’m so happy to have found Sarah and her precious family! Thank you!

Catherine is very nice, flexible, and accommodating. She did a great job taking care of both my dogs. I needed help last minute and she was happy to take them. When I picked them up I could tell they had a good day with her. I would highly recommend her service for your animals.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in KY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
