About: I have many years of caring for my own cats (Jack & Jill growing up, and my foster cat Bucky now) as well as lots of experience dog-walking and home-sitting throughout college. I absolutely love making new friends with your pets and am happy to provide them less time alone or in their kennels I still have full-time work to accommodate (from 9am-3:30pm), but I work remote and am able to be flexible. I am available most evenings and weekends. Unfortunately my apartment makes me unavailable to provide care for pets away from your home. I look forward to caring for your pets in your yards, neighborhoods, or local dog parks however. I don't object to taking pets for a car ride if they enjoy those as well

Our trip was long and we were out of the country but she made it seem we were not so far away from our George by messaging and sending pictures which were highlights in the days away. Our flight out of Macedonia was unexpectedly canceled (twice) which meant getting home a day later than expected and Marissa was the calm I needed when I contacted her in a panic. She was helpful and quick with resolution making me truly feel George was welcome in her home. You can tell Marissa is a true lover of animals and enjoys her job. George came home seamlessly which was indicative of him being in a loving home where he felt at ease. Marissa also understood how much I missed him and stayed up late so that I could come directly there and get my pup. That meant the world to me as I know it was late and she had to get up early. I know that when I need a dog sitter, I prefer someone to stay in my home that allows my little buddy to stay in his normal surroundings, so I get it and will do the same for you and yours. However, if you prefer I board your pet, I have a fenced yard and allow pets on furniture, unless you have trained your pet to not be allowed on furniture. My home is clean and non-smoking.

It was my 14 month old Vizslas first time staying with a sitter (or anywhere but home) so I was a little nervous about leaving him for a week.
