“Jacqueline is so awesome. She’s so easy to talk to and so accommodating. I ended up extending our booking and she had no problem with it. She sent me lots of pictures of Monty and kept me up to date on how he was doing. She is a true pet lover! I will 100% book with her again :)”

“Sorry for the late review! Heather and Alexis were awesome! We forgot to drop off the food and they were sweet enough to let the pups eat some of theirs. They were responsive and kept us up to date! The dogs had a great time and we’ll definitely book for our next trip out of town!”

About: I worked in an overnight pet facility called Pet Station Country Club for close to a year as a part of the overnight team. From around 7pm to 6am I would have personal watch of dozens of pets including cats and dogs, and was in charge of giving them medications and potty breaks. I am also Pet Tech CPR and First Aid certified, so I can give medical attention to your pet in an emergency. I have grown up around all kinds of cats, dogs, rabbits and chickens, and love pets! I am a full time student undergoing my junior year at University of Louisville, but am free multiple times during the day to check in on pets as I live within 5 minutes of campus. My evenings are free, and I have no prior commitments. The townhome I stay in has a fenced in yard and is incredibly close to University's campus, meaning it is a safe environment for walks and care.
“Kaitlin was great! Very quick to respond, very flexible. It was our first time with Rover and first time leaving our dog with someone he didn't know and she did a great job answering all of our questions and putting us at ease and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out!”

“I had an amazing experience with Jen, and so did my dog Pearl. Pearl is an anxious pup but Jen went above and beyond to keep her calm and happy. I got a ton of photo updates and just felt so relieved and happy knowing that my dog was having a great time while I was away!”

“This was my first time using Rover.com. Stephen & Angela were great helping me feel at ease with the service. We did a meet & greet with our doggies. And Merlie & Cinnamon were very well cared for!! Thank you so much and I highly recommend!”

“Ciara was the BEST. She sent pictures of my fur baby Louie daily as well as a little message to tell me how he was doing. Louie is an 11 month old Aussiepoo with tons of energy, and Ciara and her fur baby made sure to tire him out everyday. Would recommend her 100% every time.”

About: We had a dog for 17 years that passed away earlier this year at the age of 19 (able to care for a senior dog). He was adopted from Southern Indiana Animal Rescue. My son was in 3rd grade when we adopted him so we taught him how to take care of a pet. *Large fenced in backyard *Someone is always home *Dog walking included *One or more dogs from same family only at one time *Your pet(s) is priority Available weekdays and weekends. There is always someone at home that can let the dogs out. Walks after I get home from work in neighborhood or park. No other pets in the house currently. Only one family's dog(s)s at a time, no need to worry about them getting along with other pets. Your pet will be my top priority.
“Bennae was very accommodating and kind. Chico returned home with the same mannerisms he left with. I will definitely be using Bennae again and would recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter. Great experience”

“Such a sweet family!! Our dogs were well loved at Alexis and Daniel’s! Their kiddos were so kind to look after our pups too. We will definitely be booking them every time we’re in town. ?”

“Rachael took great care of Moxi! She sent lots of picture updates. Moxi really enjoys playing with other dogs - she is still sleeping so I know she had a great time!”

“We found Sean to be very caring, professional and wonderful man. He took excellent care of our Silver lab, Boone. He took time to let us be a part of him introducing Boone to the other dog who was staying with him. He sent us photos and sent us updates. We will definitely be using Sean again when we travel. ❤️”

“I can’t recommend Crystal enough! When my regular sitter was unexpectedly unavailable, I was nervous about leaving my fur baby with someone new, especially since I was traveling internationally for 10 days. Crystal immediately put my mind at ease. She offered a meet and greet with her and her dog, beforehand, and she was very flexible with drop/pick up times. Overall she was an amazing sitter who really went above and beyond. She treated Bailey like her own and cared for him with love. It was clear from the pics and updates she sent that my baby was happy, comfortable, and well taken care of. Also, my dog got along great with her dog and the other visiting dog. They created a little “dog pack”, the pics were sooooo cute! . If you’re looking for a sitter that you can trust wholeheartedly with your fur baby, Crystal is the one!!”

About: I have loved and cared for animals all my life. Most recently I began regularly fostering dogs with LMAS. I have fostered over a dozen dogs of all ages but I specialize with puppies. I focus on house and crate training with puppies and I enjoy multiple daily walks through my neighborhood park. I currently work from home from 9-5 and I am free on weekends. In my spare time I enjoy running and riding my bike. I believe in the more the merrier so if your pup is up to join I'm all for it! My home has a moderately sized fenced in backyard and a screened in patio that is very popular with my foster puppies. I enjoy house and crate training and I have had a lot of success through threshold training. I have a Siberian Husky and a Tabby Cat that get along with each other and they also love making new friends.
“My boarding experience for my pups with Shunita has been one of the best! She was very kind and took great care of my puppies. I was very nervous at the start since this was my first time boarding with Rover, but I could not have asked for a better person. She is the BEST! I will definitely will be a repeat customer. 5 stars!!”

“Stephanie took wonderful care of my dog, Pearl, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. She was kind, reliable, and made sure Pearl was well cared for while I was away. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing Pearl was in such good hands. I would absolutely recommend Stephanie to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy pet sitter, and I would gladly book with her again!”

“Erin and George have an awesome set up and are great sitters. My two teenage pups had a blast playing outside and getting 1:1 attention. I’d highly recommend!!!”

Mistica was wonderful with my dog, Pearl! She was kind, reliable, and very easy to communicate with throughout the entire stay. I felt comfortable knowing Pearl was in such good hands, and it was clear that Pearl had a great time with her. I would absolutely book with Mistica again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy pet sitter!

Anthony was great! Communicarion was good. He agreed to do a meet and greet before we decided. He was affecionate and engaged with Raven as soon as they met. Raven LOVES meeting new people, so this was great for her. She was with him from Thursday morning until Saturday afternoon. He sent pics starting soon after dropoff. He answered our questions about how she was doing quickly. We had recently had a Rover visit aith a different sitter where she either had a bad intestinal bug or a severe anxiety reaction. Nothing like that here. She was thrilled to see me when we got back, but is her normal self, not needing to recuperate! Will look forward to using Anthony again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
