Growing up, I was surrounded by both large and small dogs, as well as indoor and feral cats, so I’m comfortable with a variety of personalities, needs, and energy levels. My professional background is in senior care, where I coordinated care across West Louisville and served as an Activities Director in several local senior living communities. Those roles taught me the importance of patience, reliability, communication, and treating every individual with kindness and respect. I bring that same level of care and attention to every pet I meet. Whether your pet needs companionship, playtime, a calm presence, or just someone dependable to keep their routine on track, I’ll treat them like one of my own. Pet care fits naturally into our daily routine. I’m a stay-at-home mom, so I’m home throughout the day and able to give pets plenty of attention, potty breaks, playtime, and companionship. My 2-year-old loves dogs, and caring for pets is a sweet way for our family to spend time with animals while providing them with a loving, comfortable home environment. I don’t have a fenced-in yard, but my kids and I are very active and love going on walks, spending time outdoors, and giving pets plenty of attention and playtime. In my home, your pet will be treated like part of the family with a safe, comfortable space to relax, regular potty breaks and walks, playtime, meals and medications given exactly as instructed, and lots of love and supervision. I’ll follow their normal routine as closely as possible and can accommodate crate-trained pets if needed. In a client’s home, I’ll make sure your pet is comfortable in their familiar environment while providing reliable walks, feeding, fresh water, playtime, cuddles, litter box or potty cleanup, and any medication or special care they need. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and photos so you can feel at ease while you’re away.

About: I have been around animals my entire life. I am completely comfortable around animals of all different shapes and sizes. I can leash train your dogs if you are having a hard time reeling them in. While I do work during the day, I have the ability to frequent the home and take pets out for walks, play pass, or even just spend time giving them some love. I am home every evening and night. I have a fenced in back yard for free running. I have a small dog that is super friendly to strangers. He walks with me with no leash, and won’t even chase a cat, because he is well trained.

I have 5 years experience working and volunteering in animal shelters, making me a great fit for anyone wanting a sitter who knows what they’re doing and is willing to go above and beyond. I am a remote worker, so I’ll be with your pets all day long! Taking care of animals is my passion, so your furry family is my primary focus. Andrew is my husband, and will occasionally help me out! I work with old animals and young, calm animals and ones with their crazy pants on — so any challenge that is thrown, I will be able to handle. Pets are our children, and you can trust me with yours. I am also insured as a pet sitter, so you can have some additional peace of mind.

“Penny and the whole family are super sweet and perfect to watch your dog my dog Sherman warmed up very quickly and even slept with her teenage son. Definitely will use them again because I have busy work weeks at times. Sherman is a bit much sometimes when he sees other dogs a bit reactive but Penny kept an eye on him and never went out without his leash and collar and made sure all dogs weren't out. He had a blast came home and ran around like a puppy again. Will definitely be using her again.”

My gentle giant st. Bernard and German shepherd are rough enough to play tug of war with the biggest of dogs but gentle enough to cuddle and protect a 5lb teacup Yorkie.
