Throughout my life, I've had the joy of sharing my home with several amazing pups and cats of various breeds, sizes, and personalities. I've been dog-sitting and taking care of furry friends for neighbors, friends, and families for over 10 years. As a full-time teacher, I’m available for pet care before school (6:00–9:15 AM), after school (4:45–10:00 PM), and on weekends. I’m happy to help with drop-in visits, walks, or evening sitting during the week, and have more flexibility for extended care over the weekend and summer/ holidays. About: I have experience working with animals for over five years. I grow up with a Labrador retriever all my life. I was also a pet sitter for my friends and family when they went on vacations. About: I don't remember life without dogs. They've been my companions and best friends since I was a kid. I love them so much that I can bark well enough to fool you into thinking I'm one of them! Over the years, I've been around all kinds of dogs, from Great Danes to mutts and Golden Retrievers. I've also rescued dogs from difficult situations. I've learned that every dog has its own personality. Some want to play all day, some want to cuddle, and others just want to do their own thing. If your dog is big, I'm strong enough to take them on a walk. If they're cuddly, I'll cuddle the crap out of them. If they need space or time to warm up, that's fine, too. I'm comfortable around dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and I don't get nervous or jumpy around them. I'm sure your dog will bring lots of joy to my home. I have a spacious house where dogs can relax wherever they feel comfortable, along with a fenced backyard where they can run and play. I'll make sure your dog gets the attention, care, and space they need to feel at home. When I'm out, it's never for more than four hours. If your dog stays with me, they would be alone for four hours at most. The rest of the time we'll be around to give them attention and affection. My house is spacious, so your dog can find a comfortable spot to hang out wherever they like. I also have a fenced-in backyard where they can run around and play. I'm happy to take them on walks or to a nearby park, too. Every dog is different, so just let me know the specifics: their routine, what they enjoy, what makes them nervous, and anything else I should know. I want them to feel at home here, not like they're stuck somewhere unfamiliar while you're away.

Our trip was long and we were out of the country but she made it seem we were not so far away from our George by messaging and sending pictures which were highlights in the days away. Our flight out of Macedonia was unexpectedly canceled (twice) which meant getting home a day later than expected and Marissa was the calm I needed when I contacted her in a panic. She was helpful and quick with resolution making me truly feel George was welcome in her home. You can tell Marissa is a true lover of animals and enjoys her job. George came home seamlessly which was indicative of him being in a loving home where he felt at ease. Marissa also understood how much I missed him and stayed up late so that I could come directly there and get my pup. That meant the world to me as I know it was late and she had to get up early. I will pick her every single time if available. Fantastic care, quick responses, pics sent (even a video) and flexible in an unforeseen circumstance. I can’t thank her enough!!!”
About: Welcome! We're the Phenix family—a family of six (plus our two sweet dogs!). We understand that leaving your dog with someone else is a big decision, and we strive to provide a safe, loving, and fun home away from home. I work from home with a flexible schedule, which means visiting dogs are rarely left alone for more than a few hours and have plenty of opportunities to get outside. Safety is one of our top priorities. Our spacious backyard is fully fenced with a secure 4-foot wrought iron fence, giving dogs lots of room to run and play. We know some pups are talented escape artists, so our gates are secured with locks, and every guest wears an AirTag during their stay as an extra precaution—just in case we have a little Houdini on our hands! Our 2 resident pups are Athena (a Collie) and Lulu (a Beagle mix). Both are 10 years old, gentle, and experienced hosts. We've been dog sitting for over 9 years, so they're very comfortable welcoming new furry friends into our home. They're great at reading other dogs' body language and are happy to play or simply give visiting dogs their space if that's what they prefer. To keep everyone happy and healthy, all dogs are fed separately to prevent food-related conflicts, and we only give treats and food provided by each owner to help avoid upset stomachs or dietary issues. We look forward to welcoming your pup into our family and treating them like one of our own while you're away! Our day starts with dogs being let out to go to the bathroom at 6am then breakfast. We have had some late sleepers stay with us, so we do adjust for our sleepy friends. Dogs have access to the backyard whenever they would like and we have plenty of dog toys for them to enjoy. We are happy to accommodate any feeding schedule, so we can keep your pup as close to their normal routine as possible. We have a fully fenced in yard with locks on the gates. Since we know some dogs are great at escaping, we have an air tag just in case.
About: Growing up, I’ve always been surrounded with pets and been given the opportunity to care for dogs numerous times. I am very patient with animals and genuinely find joy spending my time with them. After recently graduating from college and moving into a studio apartment, it has been an adjustment not being surrounded by pets. Although I work a 9-5, I am willing to make plenty of time before or after work to accommodate your needs. Destiny treated my 2 dogs like her own - my nervous 12 year old ate every meal, got his medications, and had a great time. Besides just walking them, they got to go to our dog park. Her photo updates were prefect - I knew they were happy so I could enjoy my vacation.
Anthony was great! Communicarion was good. He agreed to do a meet and greet before we decided. He was affecionate and engaged with Raven as soon as they met. Raven LOVES meeting new people, so this was great for her. She was with him from Thursday morning until Saturday afternoon. He sent pics starting soon after dropoff. He answered our questions about how she was doing quickly. We had recently had a Rover visit aith a different sitter where she either had a bad intestinal bug or a severe anxiety reaction. Nothing like that here. She was thrilled to see me when we got back, but is her normal self, not needing to recuperate! Will look forward to using Anthony again.
