“The most trusted and kind home to leave our pup. He gets to run and play outside as he likes, and also gets all the love and cuddles he’s accustomed to. He adores David and Kelly!”

“Ashley was super clear communicating and went above and beyond for my two cane corso mastiff mixes. My 5 month old puppy had almost no socialization and her 4 dogs were amazing with her. My older dog did happen to go into heat and Ashley was the perfect sitter for her!!!”

“Tracie and her family are all wonderfully thoughtful and kind! Nala felt comfortable right away and enjoyed her stay thoroughly! It was so very sweet of Tracie's daughter to draw me a picture of Nala to take with me! I will cherish it!”

About: I am currently a small animal veterinarian licensed in both Kentucky and Georgia, but have been in the veterinary medical field since 2009, starting out as a vet assistant. While I have enjoyed helping animals throughout my veterinary career, I have decided to step away from the long, demanding hours of clinical medicine in order to have a better work-life balance so that I can spend more time with my family. Pet sitting allows me to continue doing what I love, which is caring for animals. As a veterinarian, I have worked with all ages and breeds of dogs and cats, and I am comfortable administering medications, caring for senior pets, and supporting animals with special medical needs. Whether your pet is an energetic puppy or a senior with more in depth needs, my goal is to make every pet feel comfortable and loved while you're away. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family members, and I will treat your pet(s) as if they were my own, providing regular updates, photos, and plenty of attention so you can have peace of mind and enjoy your time away knowing your pet is in experienced, compassionate hands. Whether you need drop-in visits, walks, or help with a pet who needs a little extra time and attention, I'd love to meet you and your best friend! I look forward to helping your pet stay happy, healthy, and stress-free while you're away. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. As a veterinarian transitioning away from full-time clinical practice to create more time for my family, I now have the flexibility to provide attentive, reliable care for pets throughout the day. Whether it's walks, drop-in visits, playtime, or medication administration, I can easily build my schedule around each pet's individual needs. Caring for animals has always been more than just my profession, it's something I genuinely enjoy and look forward to every day. When caring for pets in your home, I strive to keep their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I follow your instructions closely regarding feeding, medications, walks, playtime, and any special needs to ensure your pet feels safe and comfortable while you're away.
“Eggbert had a great time! I could tell by his behavior and poop he was well cared for. I did get pictures and updates which was much appreciated. Will book again ❤️🎶”

“Haley made me feel so safe leaving my dog with a stranger. I was updated with pictures and activity through the day and it made it so relieving.”

“Best sitter!!!! My dog was pampered and petted. She loved the doggie family and was playing outside with them when I picked her up. I got updates several times a day and felt totally secure leaving my baby with Lynn. Made my trip much more relaxed. Highly recommend this sitter. We will definitely rebook!!”

“Winnie was great watching my dog while I was out of town. He came home happy and relaxed. She sent pictures and was very communicative and flexible with pick up and drop off. The whole process was really easy and stress-free. Thank you so much.”

“Laura was a great communicator and made our pup feel at home! She took great photos and also accommodated last minute requests graciously. Highly recommend!”

“Accommodated me on short notice. Nathan has strong attentiveness. Inquired about my preferences and if I had specific requests like wanting photos / my pups schedule in order to provide optimal care to him during their time together.”

“5 stars. Left Siberian Husky that I recently adopted for a weekend. I was a bit nervous ... first because it would have been first time dog was left at another home and second because it was the first time I used Allison & Justin. They did a wonderful job, sent me pictures and updates and Sheila (Husky) was happy to be there AND happy to see me return. No problems and very well cared for. I'll definitely use them again!”

“Went well, my pup seems happy and well taken care of. A little hard to communicate, but they were flexible with my pickup and drop off times. They took him to the dog park and on multiple walks.”

“It was such a great experience with Amber during the holidays! This was our first leaving our puppy and I'm glad it was a positive experience. Amber was very accommodating, and responsive and continued to give us updates as we requested. She made sure that all of my puppy needs were met and maintained the same schedule. Thank you Amber for taking care of Simba! 🐾”

“I am so thrilled to have found Tania. I felt so comfortable leaving my dog Bear with her while I was on vacation. She sent regular updates and pictures which I loved. During our meet and greet she made sure all of my questions were answered and was very professional. You can definitely see she cares so much about each dog she watches. I will definitely be taking Bear back to her whenever I can! Thank you!”

“Maggie is sweet! Our dog seemed to have a great time with her, her dog, and cats. Her dog took a bit of time to warm up to our dog, but it seemed they became good friends shortly thereafter.”

“Tonisha is a very reliable dog friend! She’s been ready to hang with our dog on short notice and been flexible with changing schedules. Our dog always seems very happy to see her & we feel lucky & happy that Tonisha takes good care of our buddy!”

“John was an amazing sitter who kept us updated multiple times a day with pictures and updates, even when we couldn’t be as responsive. He offered Teddy healthy treats on the regular and treated him like his own. Five stars! We will definitely be reaching out to him again for future sitting needs.”

“I had an outstanding experience with Robert! He was very attentive, caring and went above and beyond in taking care of my dog Maggie. He provided regular updates and it gave me complete peace of mind. Robert’s home and atmosphere is perfect for taking care of animals. Very safe and loving environment. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in KY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
