About: I am currently a small animal veterinarian licensed in both Kentucky and Georgia, but have been in the veterinary medical field since 2009, starting out as a vet assistant. While I have enjoyed helping animals throughout my veterinary career, I have decided to step away from the long, demanding hours of clinical medicine in order to have a better work-life balance so that I can spend more time with my family. Pet sitting allows me to continue doing what I love, which is caring for animals. As a veterinarian, I have worked with all ages and breeds of dogs and cats, and I am comfortable administering medications, caring for senior pets, and supporting animals with special medical needs. About: I have grown up with dogs and puppies my whole life. I take my pets to get groomed and to their vet appointments, make them fun treats, walk them, and make sure their needs are fully met. My dogs have grown up kennel trained so I know how important it is to make the kennel a positive space. I also understand that giving dogs human food can make their stomachs upset and keeping them on their regular diet is imperative. I am currently a student at UK and only have classes on Tuesday and Thursday. My Wednesdays are full with shadowing at Bluegrass Orthopedics. My Mondays, Fridays, and weekends are free typically. I am not allowed to to have dogs in my home because I currently rent. I am willing to drive them places though. I am willing to bring them to my house for short periods of time under certain circumstances.
