“Jill was absolutely wonderful with Charlie and Bailey. She and her fur baby Roscoe made them feel at home. Jill was so helpful, flexible and caring with them. They were administered meds regularly, fed and cared for with great love. Her home was beautiful and very clean but still very conducive to pet care. She was in touch with pics and reports daily and they always looked happy and healthy. She lives very close so that was an extra convenience. I’m excited that we’ve found such a wonderful caregiver so close to home. We will definitely be coming back.”

“Kelsey and Conor cared for our 10 yo lab and could not have been more kind & loving in their care. They provide a clean environment with their own friendly dogs with a perfect outdoor space for a dog. They provided daily updates in which our dog looked so happy & well cared for. Highly recommend and will use Kelsey & Conor again!”

“Debbie made my anxious boy feel right comfortable and took such good care of him. She sent lots of pictures and updates. I would definitely recommend her to care for your pets!”

“Stephanie took excellent care of Monty, an 11 year old cockapoo. He was introduced to the other dogs (some permanent residents and others being boarded) to ensure he would be a good fit. He had some gastrointestinal issues and she provided him with a bland diet ( cost for food and clean up) to settle his stomach. She sent plenty of updates throughout his stay. Highly recommended if you have a senior dog. She understands their needs.”

“We had a great experience using Melissa! Ace was well taken care of and clearly had a great time. We really appreciated the updates and pictures. We’ll definitely rebook again in the future! 🐾💕”

“This was my 3rd time having Ashley watch my pups. She is the absolute best. I get multiple updates and pictures of my pups daily. I know they are in great hands when they are with Ashley and her pup, Chloe. My dogs miss her already lol”

“To start, thank you so much for the short notice request! Jeffrey was very kind and caring to Ginger's needs and comfort in her senior years. I look forward to working with Jeffrey again in the future.”

“Cindy was very flexible with scheduling and allowing Duke to have a meet and greet prior to our scheduled boarding. Cindy also shared photos and videos during the stay.”

About: Hi, I’m Angie! My husband and I share a calm, child-free home with no resident pets, giving your pet a peaceful environment and plenty of individual attention. I work from home and can keep your pet’s normal routine consistent with companionship, walks, playtime, potty breaks, cuddles, and quiet time throughout the day. We also have a park just a two-minute walk away! I grew up around rescue dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens through my mom’s volunteer work and previously worked for a mobile veterinarian. I’m comfortable caring for pets of different ages, needs, routines, and personalities. Our home is especially well suited for seniors, shy or anxious pets, and animals accustomed to being the only pet at home. I’ll follow your instructions closely, send regular photo updates, and provide a safe, cozy home away from home. ☺️ I work from home with a flexible schedule, so I’m available throughout the day for companionship, walks, potty breaks, playtime, cuddles, and quiet time. There’s also a park just a two-minute walk from my home, making outdoor time easy to incorporate into your pet’s normal routine. My husband and I share a clean, calm, child-free home with no resident pets, allowing your pet to settle in peacefully and receive plenty of individual attention. I’ll follow your care instructions closely, keep their routine consistent, and send regular pictures and updates. “John and Michelle did a great job watching our little pups. They were responsive and friendly, and they walked our dogs frequently. Would definitely use again!”

“Lauren and Derek took great care of my Coko! They met us outside for dropoff and pickup. She had such an amazing time in their hands and playing with the other pups! 5/5 stars!”

“Aivy was amazing! I can’t say enough positive things. She took the best care of Herbie to the point I didn’t think he was going to want to come home. She sent tons of pictures and loved on him like he was her own.”

“My anxious dog, Jack, was in excellent hands with Jennifer! Jack immediately felt comfortable at her house. Instead of clinging to my side he started roaming around and exploring shortly after we arrived to meet her. The environment was perfect for him. His first overnight stay was a success and we already have a second stay scheduled for an upcoming vacation. Jennifer provided fun updates throughout Jack's stay, and overall was an outstanding communicator throughout the entire process (from time of booking through the stay). Your dog will be in caring hand with Jennifer!”

“Brijana was amazing with our Mona. Mona is a special needs dog and Brijana’s care, skill, attentiveness to Mona, and communication with us was impeccable. She had a few visits with Mona prior to boarding and quickly broke the ice with Mona as well as gathering details about her special need to fully execute the highest level of care. We couldn’t be more grateful for her service and support.”

About: Pet Care Experience I’ve had the joy of caring for dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to sweet seniors who need a little extra love and patience. I’ve helped with walks, feeding, giving meds, and of course plenty of belly rubs and cuddle time. I treat every dog like they’re my own, making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. What Sets Me Apart I really take the time to get to know each dog’s personality and quirks. Whether it’s helping a puppy learn good habits, supporting an older dog who moves at a slower pace, or sticking to a routine to keep your pup comfortable, I always adjust to what your dog needs. I also pay close attention to little details—like favorite toys, treats, or special instructions—so you can feel at ease knowing your best friend is in caring hands. Since I work from home, I have plenty of flexibility to give your dog the attention they deserve throughout the day. I can easily step away for walks, playtime, or check-ins, and I love having the company of dogs while I work. Whether it’s sticking to a set feeding and potty schedule or adding in some extra cuddle breaks, I’m able to keep your pup’s routine consistent and stress-free. Your dog’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. In my care, I make sure they’re in a secure and pet-friendly environment—free of hazards, with plenty of space to relax and play. I always follow your instructions closely, whether it’s diet, medication, or special routines, so your pup feels right at home. When caring for dogs in a client’s home, I treat the space with the same respect as I would my own. I keep doors locked, routines consistent, and make sure your dog feels safe and loved until you return. Building trust is important to me, so I provide updates, photos, and quick check-ins to give you peace of mind while you’re away.
“Autumn had a great time during her 5 night stay at Jackie's. Jackie took great care of autumn, sent many pictures, and kept us well informed. Autumn came home clean, tired, and happy. Thank you Jackie!”

“Janet, made me feel comfortable with leaving my baby boy. This was the first time using this app and she was wonderful with communication and sending pics of my baby. I would definitely refer and use her again.”

“This was Bubbles' third time staying with Vanessa, and his first overnight! He stayed 2 nights while I was away for a wedding, and he had a great time! Vanessa sent tons of photos and updates, which was greatly appreciated. Bubbles made doggy pals and played outside alot, which he loves doing!! We will definitely continue going to Vanessa as his exclusive sitter!!”

“Eliana took such great care of our 5 month old chihuahua/chiweenie puppy while we were in town visiting the area. Our sweet pup felt safe, secure and cared for at her home and received loads of attention! We received numerous updates and photos that certainly reassured us our pet was happy and well while we were away. Highly recommend!!!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Mount Laurel
Leah was amazing! This was our first time leaving our two dogs for an extended trip, and naturally we were a little nervous about being away from them for so long. Leah completely put our minds at ease. She sent us photos every day, and it was so reassuring to see our girls happy and having a great time while we were away. When we picked them up, our puppers came home tired, happy, and clearly very well loved — exactly what we hoped for! ❤️ It meant so much to us to know they were in such good hands, and being able to enjoy our vacation without worrying about them was priceless. We are so grateful to Leah and will absolutely be using her again. We couldn’t recommend her more highly!

Debbie is simply the best. She is clearly a dog lover and provides great customer service (with photos and regular updates, for example). She walked my dog several times previously and most recently kept her at her home for several days. I cannot say enough about how pleased I am with her service! I am completely comfortable in leaving my dog in her good care.
My cat was so very well taken care of by Nazli. Nazli sent pics or videos of Baxter everyday while I was away; she gave him his meds orally in the morning and evening; and she showered Baxter with love and hugs every day. I had a last-minute cat sitter cancellation but was able to find Nazli and connect with her very quickly - she responded so fast and was very accommodating in setting up a time to meet Baxter, and to introduce him to her cat, Kuki. (She responds almost immediately to my texts or Rover messages in general). This was an excellent experience for me and for Baxter - he had a new cat friend to play with and he was just cared for with so much love. Thank you Nazli! I will definitely bring Baxter to you whenever I go out of town for a few weeks. I truly appreciate you and Baxter says meow :)

Donna was amazing! We had a family emergency come up and needed a pet sitter last minute and Donna was super responsive and incredibly helpful. She is the sweetest person and loved on my dog while he was with her for a week. She made Ollie feel right at home and he had a fantastic week relaxing at her place. Ollie is starting to get a little bit older, so this quiet and relaxed stay was perfect for him. I would absolutely book with Donna again in the future and highly recommend her!

Felix and Daniel are wonderful! They are so responsive and flexible. We had to extend our dog’s stay by one night (at the last second) and they were happy to accommodate. Our dog, Ollie, also gets a ton of outside play time, love, and cuddles when he is there. They send frequent updates as well. Can’t wait to leave him here again.

Mónica is great with my senior dog! He has separation anxiety of we leave him. But with Mónica, he is comfortable and happy to be with her. She provides updates and pictures throughout the pet's stay. It definitely eases my mind knowing that my dog is in good hands. I highly recommend her for your pet!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
